With the release of the (Heavily censored) remaster, the original is now free! https://store.steamp...iginal_Version/

(For people who own the Remaster only)

Examples of Censorship

They changed the more insensitive jokes, and changed Bosco's voice
The original Bosco was played by a white man, now a black man..
Honestly, Bosco NEVER had race to me, he was grey, a mix of everything

Dammit! I didn't see the fine print!

Fixed!

Old-school Sam & Max Season One is now free DLC
Play the original episodes exactly as they were, warts and all.
Big news: Sam & Max Save the World version 1.0.4 is now live on Steam. See the patch notes below for a list of fixes.

Even bigger news: All six of the original Sam & Max Season One episodes are now available as free DLC for Sam & Max Save the World customers! If you’re curious to see where Telltale’s Sam & Max games got their start or nostalgic for the version you played back in the day, now you can—low resolution, compressed audio, the works.

Yea it's saying free dlc for the remake. Not sure it makes sense to make the changes and then give you the unedited version. I dunno, doesn't seem that bad edited.

I see people still don't know what censorship means.

Already have 2007 version so I'll pass on buying the remaster.

I only watched the first bit to see if this was just ardent fans overreacting but cutting something as benign as "militant college kids" seems like a good indication that the script was rewritten to accommodate a "certain" audience.

I see people still don't know what censorship means.

I mean, this is assumedly new people making changes to dialogue for the purposes of being more PC. If this were a mandatory patch to the original game, I would say it qualifies but it's a new entity (and the original has been left preserved) so not so much in this case. This is closer to an accurate use of the word than usual, at least.

The people making the game decided to update the script for a modern audience that is in no way "censorship".

Which was entirely accomplished by people who did not make the original game doing nothing but making cuts to "problematic" dialogue. I said it wasn't technically censorship but you can see why people would employ the use of the word.

I can see why people who throw around the word censorship to fit their narrative are saying it but that doesn't make it true in the slightest.

The people who own the rights to the game are making these changes.
