Do we have a referral page somewhere on CAG? Looks like I’m in the market for a referral code too since none of my FB friends seem to be Oculus owners.

I’ve been reluctant to post mine since I didn’t want to seem pushy, but since y’all are asking, here is mine: https://www.oculus.c...s/link/guessed/

Awesome, I just used one that was PMed from another member, but I have a feeling a lot more CAGs will want to get in on this deal given the great sale prices, so I’d keep it up until Mods tell us otherwise. Thanks again!

What’s the consensus on the official case? I’ve read a few reviews stating it’s not all that great or worth anywhere near $50.

I grabbed one of these on the way from Amazon, but maybe there’s some benefit to the official case I’m not aware of?

I never travel with mine so my Oculus never sees the inside of the case but I'm not overly impressed with it.  It's a bit of a puzzlebox and doesn't support the Elite strap (or 3rd party straps) or battery packs, etc.  It's really just a firm felted zippered oval you can pack the base unit and grips into and squeeze closed.

If you want to travel with your unit or just have a place to put it where the cat won't knock it to the floor, the case you linked looks like a much better option.

Eh? I have mine in there with the Elite strap+battery, no issues. Fits perfectly.

I'm going to pick up the Quest 2 tomorrow, mainly to use it for my PCVR streaming, but I'm excited for what the Oculus store holds.

My mistake then.  I'd heard people complaining that it didn't fit with a rigid strap like the Elite.  I'll admit I was going off that information and never tried it myself since I got a new strap (plus mine is a 3rd party strap so it wouldn't be a truthful comparison)

I will maintain that I'm not especially fond of the case as it doesn't seem particularly sturdy and is annoying to pack stuff into (though maybe that gets better with practice).  For $30, I'd go with the one linked over the grey egg.

I got one of these:

I can’t remember what I actually paid, but HF always has coupons you can use. It’s bulkier than the official case but it’s extremely solid.

Was browsing the Oculus store, seeing if they had posted any holiday sales yet, and saw a bundle I hadn’t noticed before, the “Play together Save together” bundle, which includes Demeo, Blaston, and Walkabout Minigolf for $29.98 (just under the cost of Demeo alone). The verbiage claims that you need to have successfully referred someone to get that price, but as far as I can tell, that isn’t the case, as I don’t think anyone has used my referral link yet. I haven’t actually checked out, so I guess there is a chance it will block the sale at the last step. It is a pretty tempting bundle. Supposed to be available through the end of the year.

What's everyone's recommendation for the best PCVR Racing Game. Mostly for casual and not hardcore Sim Racing.

Would Project Cars 3 be my best option?

Daily deal for Thursday-

I Expect You To Die 2 is $17.99 Save $7.

I really like these games. Not super long, but very well made.

Edit: The App Lab game Sep’s Diner is on sale for $3.99 (regularly $11.99) for 5 days. I haven’t played this one but there is a demo available, so I’ll give it a try soon. It seems like it is pretty highly reviewed.

I think Project Cars is about the only option to fit that bill. Someone correct me if I am wrong as I’ve been looking too.

I had several people recommend Project Cars 2 over PC3 to me as the better game.  VR works for both and Steam reviews are "Mixed" for PC3 and "Very Positive" for PC2.  Plus PC2 is cheaper.

Edit: Counterpoint - A lot of PC3 complaints are that it's too "arcadey" so maybe that's a feature for you.

Is there a Deku Deals or IsThereAnyDeal type thing for the Oculus store where we can see price histories? Also, is Wander the best app to show off to non-gamer friends/family?

Thanks. I used your code to set up my new Quest 2.

Here’s mine if we’re continuing the chain:

Thanks... will probably get both PC2/3.... Hopefully my Laptop can run them at decent fps...

RTX 3060 Mobile

Ryzen 5800H

64GB Ram

NVME SSD

Also picked up Half-Life Alyx... You guys think I'll be fine and can get at lease 60fps?

Fanatical has a new “Build your own Elite VR Bundle”. I think most of the titles have been part of earlier VR bundles, but still some decent choices (20 to choose from, all Steam codes).

3 for $4.99
5 for $7.99
7 for $9.99
10 for $13.99
