Super Mario 3D All-Stars (Nintendo Switch) $49.94

The fact that there's still so much supply of this game gives me hope that Nintendo won't lean too hard on this Disney Vault-type BS in the future. It doesn't seem like the limited-release strategy caused the FOMO rush a lot of people expected.

It will happen with the Zelda Collection coming up, possibly even the Metroid Prime HD Trilogy.

I think it did, based on how quickly pre orders sold out and how sales exploded in the final weeks... I think there's just way more copies out in the wild than a lot of people thought there'd be

Zelda Collection?
The hypothetical release we all want encompassing nearly every Zelda game from NES to modern day with an arbitrary end of production date less than 12 months after initial release.

I mean, they've never done a release encompassing ALL of them, but they had a couple limited Zelda releases on GameCube. They had the Collector's Edition that had Zelda I, II, OoT, and MM, and they had the Master Quest release as well.

So it's not unprecedented.

They'll probably omit anything already on the Nintendo Switch Online service. I wouldn't be surprised if they release Twilight Princess HD and Wind Waker HD individually again for $60 each.

I'm also wondering if Mario 3D All-Stars will go even lower at retail before they're gone.

What do I have to do to get "A Link Between Worlds" on the switch.......

I think at this point, it's a safe bet that we'll see a cash-grab Zelda 35th anniversary compilation that includes Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Wind Waker.  May be Nintendo will throw in Majora's Mask, too, but that one is technically not a traditional Zelda title so I wouldn't get our hopes up.

As for how much "work" Nintendo does in bringing these titles to Switch, it'll be the bare minimum.  Frankly, two of these titles have already been remastered on the Wii U so that should be an easy translation.  There are some features that are tied to the gamepad but nothing out of the ordinary.  As for Ocarina of Time, I'd be curious to see if Nintendo brings over the ugly N64 port, or instead tries to transfer over the upgraded 3DS version.

That seems like quite a deal compared to $60 for skyward sword.
I love Skyward Sword, but still a ridiculous price for some minor changes. Hopefully the rumor about that other compilation is true, but I don't know if Nintendo will sell them that cheap.
