I can stretch it out to to $500 if I need to, but I just want something that can run Rogue Company or Game Pass streamed games from time-to-time, with medium quality.

I've already considered but heard enough reviews to pass on:

- Asus TUF 15

- Dell XPS 13

I think I'm supposed to be looking for a GPU that's GTX 10xx or better? That's where thinks get wonky.

16GB of RAM is plenty, and since the recommended (not minimum) GPU says a GTX 960, any GTX 10xx series card should handle it no problem. That being the GTX 1060, GTX 1070 and 1080 series. Even the 3GB of VRAM model of the 1060 should handle it well from what I'm seeing right now. I have a GTX 1060 6GB VRAM model, and it can run an amazing amount of games... But only at 1080p for consistently good FPS. If you're going for games like CoD MW 2019 and higher demanding games, well I honestly am not sure. If you're interested in a GTX 1060 6GB Graphics Card, I can go ahead and try downloading and playing Death Stranding and get back to you on the performance for a game released in 2020, like Rogue Company was. The recommended specs to play "DS" is my exact card lol so if it runs good for me, it will most certainly play the majority of video games up to this current year, 2021.

Disclaimer: I am no computer nerd, anything I've said is my pseudo-intellectual knowledge of PC's... I watch a lot of Linus Tech Tips, but for the most part it is in one ear and out the other lol.

Do you need it to be a laptop for portability? Your money will go a bit further with a desktop, plus you can upgrade it in a modular way as you get additional funds.
