EA Play 12 Month Subscription for Xbox (Digital Code) - $25.59

Where is the code? I’m trying to extend my ultimate and there’s no option of doing so at a discounted price.

Ok, I get how to get the EQ play code, but where do I redeem it?
The easiest way to redeem a gift card or code is online. Sign in to redeem.microsoft.com with your Microsoft account, enter the 25-character code, and then select Next. You can also redeem on Microsoft Store (Windows 10) or Xbox Console.

If you are Xbox Ultimate Game Pass subscriber, EA Play 12 months will automatically convert and extend your subscription for 4 months.

If you are not Xbox Ultimate Game Pass subscriber, make sure to join using the $1 offer for first month. Cancel auto-renewal after redeeming EA Play code.

Nice! I just signed up for the $1 trial a few days ago, happy to add a few more months! I'm not sure I want to add more than 4 months though, I'm not planning to use the pc side of things, was planning on the $10 a month plan going forward.

Are there any benefits I'm missing beside playing games on the pc as well as console with the ultimate plans?

Ultimate gets you Game Pass console and PC, Xbox Live, EA Play, Perks (assortments of free in-game items like things for Phantasy Star Online 2, Spellbreak, Sea of Thieves, Apex Legends, etc. They've also given away 6 month trials to Spotify in the past.), Game Streaming (so you can access most of the Game Pass Console games via android devices, and soon iOS and PC (they're currently in beta).

It really doesn't make sense owning a console and not getting Ultimate. Unless you just never use that stuff and only want to pay for a couple months whenever a big Xbox Game Studio title comes out.

Just signed up myself yesterday using the Eneba deal, ended up with 6 months for $28.40. Not sure if its still valid though.

But the value is definitely insane, just got a new gaming PC so its nice having such a large instant collection. And I'll likely end up getting an Series S at some point for exclusives.

Wouldn't it be better just to buy a Series X controller and just game on your new gaming pc with gamepass?

Gamepass on PC doesn't have everything. Things like Destiny, Outriders, MLB The Show, etc are not on Game Pass PC. Though with Game Streaming in beta on PC, if one can get a reliable and fast enough connection that should bridge the gap enough that you wouldn't even really miss Game Pass console exclusives.

I didn't know that about those games, I just assumed when that poster said exclusive they were talking about Xbox Studios games not the third parties games.

That would be assuming that some of the Xbox exclusives I'd be interested in would be playable otherwise (Which I'm not sure of)

EDIT: Replied before reading the newer comments lol. But yeah anything exclusive only to Xbox (Both first and third party). I already have a PS5 and Switch so I'm mostly covered, but I know Microsoft has been acquiring new studios

My bad, for some reason I thought all Xbox Studios games will also be available on the PC gamepass on day one going forward, but I guess that might not be the case.

I upgraded my son's account to Ultimate for $1.  We just renewed Gold and EA access two months ago for the year.  Converted to not even 3 extra months!!  Feel robbed!!

That's weird, Gold converts to GPU using 1:1 ratio

Not a good deal. You can get a year for about $50, if you buy the global 7 day GPU codes off Eneba and get 52 of them. It takes about 30 minutes to input all 52 keys, but you save over $30 versus this deal.

Hmm, interesting. Never heard of that site before. But yeah looks like you can get a week of GPU for about a buck.

Makes me wonder about the legality of the codes though, where they came from.

I saw someone talk about it on Reddit and when I asked about it they said that you can enter a new code after the previous one runs out, but you can't stack them. So I really don't think you can buy $50 worth and redeem them all at once.

Honestly, this seems like the kind of thing you should only do if you're okay with risking losing money. Since it's a key reselling site, you won't know if they double sell the key you bought, you don't know if it'll expire, if Microsoft changes something so you can't take advantage of all the 1 or 2 week codes without creating new accounts each time, etc.

I got a code with my xbox series x controller for 2 weeks and it said "new accounts only"

i feel like a 7 day code would say that too
I was thinking more like codes you get from eating Doritos or Mountain Dew or something. Maybe not pack-ins but minor prizes. The codes work so MS made them for something and they don't (far as I know) sell retail. These codes do stack; I bought ten and tried and they activated. I think that 30min to activate 52 is very optimistic since the MS servers run slow in accepting them. Probably closer to an hour unless I just caught the servers on a bad day.

At $5.87/month for GP Ultimate (based on the current price of $23.49 for a one-year EA Pass), I'm in for five!  Yes it's a bit more expensive than stacking the 7 day codes off Eneba, but it's worth the extra buck or two a month to me to buy from a known-legit source and not have to deal with the headache of non-working or potentially stolen codes (not to mention entering 86 separate 7 day codes!)

How does stacking the 7 day Eneba codes work? Do you need to create a new account on your Xbox for each one since Microsoft considers them "trial" codes? Or can you just enter them all on your main account?

For PC, I just stacked them all. I don't think that they're trial codes and it let me activate ten in a row without an issue. I suspect they're promotional codes (not trials) meant to be minor rewards for Doritos and 7-11 purchases and shit like that.

Yes, from what I’ve read the 7 day codes on Eneba are stackable. Many folks report having no problems with them, but plenty report getting used or invalid codes and having to go through Eneba return process, which sounds like a pain. And then there’s the question of whether they’re stolen codes that could get you in trouble with Microsoft (I have no idea if that’s happened with any of the seven day codes, just a potential issue buying codes of unknown origin off a Lithuanian site).

For me, the CDKeys deal got good enough at $23.50/card to make the hassles and risks of going thorough Eneba unattractive.

I had a sub expire in January.  Kept forgetting to cancel until then since my xbox had been collecting dust since June.

I'm ineligible for the $1 deal.

Tried getting my brother to wait for a deal because his Ultimate is up and I saw the EA deal. Instead a friend sent him a 3 months GamePass membership that cost $25 and converted to a single month of Ultimate -_-

Might take the 3 months for $1 deal. Just saw it on Facebook and it looks like I'm eligible since I never turn the darn console on anymore (quit playing RDR 2 a while ago and intimidated by the thought of picking it back up).

I know it throws up that warning now, but as of yesterday it was still giving 4 months. Has anyone tried today?
Does anyone have an update on this? I purchased 12 months EA Play but was a little hesitant about completing the redemption since it said only two months. If it’s still granting four, I’ll go ahead and redeem.

Xbox also updated there website. If any one is willing to redeem and check, it would be great.

As for now, I updated the thread to avoid confusion.

Thanks. I got in touch with an Xbox rep and asked if there was any way I could be granted the four months instead of two since I had used this gift card before. She said if I wait until my sub expires, and then claim the code and rejoin GPU, I will be able to get a full year of GPU. I don’t see that actually working, but I have screen caps so maybe they’ll at least honor the four months when the time comes. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Someone tried recently and it now just converts to 2 months. The deal is now over unfortunately.

I had no idea until I read the last few posts that it's only converting to two months now. I'm glad I hesitated and didn't buy another 12 month code. It would've been a waste of money.
