I ordered my strap after they reopened orders after "addressing the problem". Mine broke after 3 months of use. They're still breaking. It's not going to stop. They would have to go back to the drawing board to redesign it to truly fix the problem.
I heard(but can't confirm) that if you got the strap with battery, you don't have to mail it back when it breaks since they don't want to deal with the complications of shipping a lithium battery. So the RMA process might be easier at least.
