Hello all.  Looking for any RTS campaigns worth playing thru.  What I mean by that is like medal of honor on the console was a great game for its time but today the controls and way it plays would not be fun and would frustrate most FPS players today, as an example.

I played command and conquer generals but I played no other part of the series.  Would it be worth going back and starting from the beginning of the series and playing thru the series or does it simply not play well enough or graphics too bad that it just wouldn't be fun or worth the trouble?

Thank you for any and all help.

RTS campaigns I have completed

Starcraft 1

Starcraft 2

Warcraft 2

Warcraft 3

C & C generals

If you haven't played it yet, the original Starcraft campaign is a classic. I'd say it still holds up extremely well, especially the HD remaster, because there haven't been many leaps in RTS playability/QoL features since then (as far as I've seen, anyway).

I have completed starcraft.  Thank you for the suggestion.  I have completed the following RTS's

Starcraft 1

Starcraft 2

Warcraft 2

Warcraft 3

C & C generals

I used to absolutely love the original Warcraft 3 with it's expansion(s). At the same time that I played that, I was super into the Stronghold series. Stronghold 2 is still my favorite pick, with Stronghold Crusader being a close second place. Maybe you'd be inclined to give SH2 HD a shot, it was released on Steam a few years back as a re-release.

I also used to dabble in modern day military RTS games, but it's been so long that I can't remember which ones I've tried.

I must say battle realms, it was released a year ahead of warcraft 3. And I really enjoyed it. You can also upgrade system by using a novel yin/yang system .
