Amazon has had the red version available for $38.50 for the past week, and I thought I'd see if the local Target would price match the black versison.
The guy at the register seemed fine with it, but after scanning it we discovered that the Target store price was currently $34.99 -- cheaper than Amazon.
I checked Brickseek and I can't get it to show prices for this anywhere. On the website, it's still listed as $49.99. It might be worth checking your local Target to see if you can get it for this price. It might be just a single store clearance, but I can't tell.
Can anyone get prices for this at other Targets via Brickseek or the Target app?
