Good CAST as usual... some comments:

Those Mario Lego toys... what a cluster. My daughter went to LegoLand with her summer day camp, and she had a budget to get something... so got what appeared to be Mario in his Tanooki suit.

Well, it's just the suit. We have no Mario. Maybe we'll find him on clearance.

Anyone else laugh out loud at three white guys talk about an all-white-guy studio being a "mistake" on a podcast which has had less than 60 minutes of a female talking over 700 episodes.

I love the show, but I think this is the pot calling the kettle black.  Yes, the response from the studio was dumb, but the picture itself could just as well have been a picture of the CagCast hosts.

In the end, what does it matter? Does the CAGcast need a diversity quota? Neither the studio or the CAGcast is losing anything by making sure they have the right racial makeup.

I had the same reaction. I love Wombat but it's 2021 and since he's the most concerned about these issues apparently he's going to do the right thing and go.

Seriously though, I completely agree that Jason Schreier made that comment because of the past history of some of the people in this new studio. He should have targeted them specifically instead of making a general comment about diversity.

If he had just modified his comment to something like 'It looks like it's not only hard to animate women but to hire them as well for the men at Raccoon Logic' he would have made the same point but the focus would be on this company instead of all companies.

Hey shipwreck, the Wonder Woman movie has a 93% and Shazam has a 90% on rotten tomatoes. You know what that first Suicide Squad has? fucking 26%.

Not only that, it was the introduction of that shitty fucking Jared Leto Joker. If that's not enough to sink that dumpster fire of a movie straight to the bottom of the Mariana trench, then I don't know what else is.

I’d rather watch Suicide Squad again than Wonder Woman again. Wonder Woman has a couple good scenes and Gal Gadot is good as the character, but it’s not something I would rewatch. I have not seen Shazam yet.

I’m glad they double downed. They did nothing wrong so they had no need to apologize or make a “I can do better” response. Outrage culture is silly and the only way it ends is when people stop giving in to the mob. I can’t even believe Cheapy would suggest just giving in so the backlash would go away. If you didn’t do anything wrong, you never apologize. Stories like this are the reason I don’t use twitter. I couldn’t imagine going to twitter to post a positive story, creating a new studio after your last studio was screwed over by google, just to receive backlash because you didn’t hire the people random strangers on twitter wanted you to hire. You want a game studio that isn’t all men? Then go make your own and hire whomever you want.

Anime is totally gory, just don't let the children watch like Genocyber or Tokyo Babylon or A Wind Named Amnesia or whatever anime was out on VHS when Cheapy was a teenager.

The issue is that they put together a team of 20 people and they ended up with TWENTY of the same people. Even if it was “just their friends” or “people they knew that needed a job,” why are all those people white dudes? The studio needs to look at itself and realize that regardless of their best intentions, the composition of their business is the result of a broken system. It doesn’t make them bad people, but they need to own their shortcomings.

Making excuses for them is not going to fix the problem. Love you guys but I really think you missed the mark on this one.

When are us white guys gonna catch a break! Won’t someone think about our feelings?

What? I'm not white and wasn't it a white guy who started this backlash in the first place?

Twenty of the same people? So you think these guys are all the same because of they all share the same race and sex? You know there is a term for people who judge others based solely on their race or sex right?
