Follow these six steps to obtain $30 Oculus store credit:

4. Create an account.
5. Download Oculus 2 APP on Google/Apple Store or download PC application (If you are using PC VR, download this)

Q & A

When will I receive my credit? As soon as you register and there's no issues. You will automatically receive the store credit. Please download the Oculus (Meta) App or log into Oculus store via your browser to see the store credit.

I'm a referrer, when will I receive my credit? Referrers will see their credit within 30 days or earlier. Download the Oculus App on your phone. Click on the JEWEL icon on the top right of the app. You should see whom click on your referral link. Accept the referral by clicking the button to receive the credit.

When will my credit expire? Access the Oculus App on your phone. Click on your avatar on the top left. This will bring down a menu. Select "Payment Methods" then select the icon that looks like this " >" next to Store Credit. It will list the Expiration date of each value.

What is Rift? What is Oculus 2? This promotion is for Oculus Quest 2 only. Rift was a headset dedicated for PC VR. If you purchased an Oculus Quest 2, you could purchase games and apps through the Rift store [NOTE: They rarely ever go on sale] and play said games on the PC instead on the Oculus headset natively. You must download the PC Oculus Application in order to download and play. You must also either purchase a link cable or use Air Link [wireless connection] to connect to your PC to play VR. PC VR games will look finer and clearer but require a very good PC to run VR games. If you don't have a good PC; No worries, Oculus 2 can play games natively with the headset only. Summary: RIFT store=For Oculus and Rift headsets only with a PC. Oculus Store=Oculus headset only. Some games and Apps can be both compatible with RIFT and Oculus headsets. Check the game/app store page for details.

Thanks for creating a thread for everyone kaji. Recently got a Quest 2 and used a referral which definitely helps with the price of games. Getting the $60 credit would even get you Resident Evil 4 VR free with $20 to spare.

Also to note, if you have already activated your Quest, but never used a referral, you can delete it from your account here https://secure.oculus.com/my/devices/ (Delete Device Data), then factory reset your Quest 2. You can then click a referral link and go through setup again on your Quest. It is a bit of a hassle if you have a lot on your device, but $60 is $60. Would be happy to help answer any questions as well.

I will say I don't know how it works if you have a referral pending, but if you don't it may be worth a shot.

If you have a referral pending do NOT do this. Most likely, you and the referee will not get credit:

I can’t get this to work with the factory reset option. My device wasn’t set up with a referral previously, but when I click on any referral link (after removing my Quest 2 from my account AND doing a factory reset) I get a page that says “Whoops, it looks like you are lost. Let’s get you back home.” 
 

Anyone else run into this issue or know how to fix it? If you can help me get it to work I’ll definitely use your referral link :pray:

I think the best option here is to contact Oculus support. Ask them you tried multiple referral links and none of them work. Contact them today to see if they can provide you the $60 referral credit before it expires tomorrow.

edit: it is possible that the links here are only from the US and you are located outside the US like Europe. Hence, you are getting that error showing up. In that case, you have to look for a European referral link online.

I originally used a code on 12/8, right in the 4 day window it was only worth $30 . Thankfully they added on $30 more when I contacted them about it.

If you have already activated your Quest 2, you can still get the 60 dollars credit by following these steps:

Turn on your Quest 2, go to App > Menu > Devices > Advances Settings > Factory Reset.

You then click on the referral link before you activate it again.

You will not lose anything you have already purchased, but some game progress will be lost.

With the free credit, there are lots of great games (like Resident Evil 4, Beat Saber, etc) you can get for free.
