Scott Pilgrim vs The World (Switch/PS4) $9.99 BB Flash Sale, ends 4PM PST

Wonder why they didn't make a physical xbox edition
Limited Run announced back in January that there would be a physical Xbox release of Scott Pilgrim, but nearly a full year on, no updates. (With the most recent “no updates” message from @limitedrungames in mid-October.)

A lot of smaller games don't get a physical release on Xbox because their minimum order quantity is too high to ensure a sell out.
Those margins must be low. They are churning out how much a month now? Games that are regularly $5 or less digitally suddenly sell for $30-$40.

Thanks OP. Went ahead and got the physical PS4 version but its going to stayed sealed, I bought the digital version earlier this year for $7 on the Switch.

And add to the fact that Xbox customers are the least likely to give two f##ks about owning physical games and you see even more why Limited Run probably reconsidered about printing any for the console.

for some reason Best Buy cancelled my pickup order for the PS4 copy. Switch is ready for pickup. no explanation on why it got cancelled.

Probably inaccurate inventory, so they couldn't find you a copy after fulfilling others.

I couldn't pull the trigger.  It's not a bad game, just remember playing the PS3 demo and just not "getting it."

Glad other folks got it for a great price, though.

They've said that the limiting factor isn't print runs -- it's that Microsoft has them classified under ID@Xbox rather than a standalone publisher, which is making things difficult.

They probably didnt have enough inventory of it to sell for 24 hours as opposed to 2 hours.
Bingo. My store had a ton of copies and still sold out in that time frame. For Switch at least, PS4 not so much.
