they do not, they do accept some “Power A” but that’s the only 3rd party brand they will take I’ve seen.Does Gamestop take in 3rd party "Joy Con" style controllers?
I know they WERE taking in generic third party "pro" controllers, but I didn't know if they took in all the knock off joy con style controllers...

I haven't tried in store yet, but online, trying to buy steam cards with trade credit results in an error as of Wednesday. Something about this product cannot be purchased with gift card. Need $100 more to add to steam wallet for Steam Deck reservation.
Good news, trade credit working on Steam cards again on gamestop.com. I guess a temp glitch or something.

Modest flip on Cris Tales (NSW).
Did you try? Pretty sure the TIV was 4 before the latest website inaccuracies.

From Gamestop's perspective, they are just responding to market factors. You guys find a way to profit and exploit it 1000 times, something's gotta give. GS doesn't know what is going on. They only know to keep lowering the TIV until their supply of a game balances out and their influx of a title roughly matches the outflow.
In the old days of CAG, a great deal would be posted on the home page, but you could check in 10 hours later and the deal would still be in stock. Then too many people started monitoring the home page to make a buck, and eventually it became almost impossible to catch some deals.

Store manager at the Richmond Cali store just tried to deny a return of 2 brand new unopened games I bought 2 weeks ago. Said it was a 7 day return limit and that the 30 days only applied to defective merchandise. Then he acted like he was doing me a favor and returned them for store credit (which is how I bought them).
Did I miss something or was he being facetious on the policy?
I had a similar experience last month with returning a sealed game, right down to the employee/manager acting like he was doing me a favor. Last I heard, the return period for new games is still 30 days...isn't it?

Re: Cris Tales (Switch). I tried to trade it in for $10 base on Friday, but they would only give $4 base - even though the website said $10...

Market factors has been at their worst. Just look at how much certain titles like Nintendo Sports dropped from a simple $30-33 to a measly $17. If that's not concerning for those who really just want to upgrade from what they have and not exploit, what else is?

Yeah the values on the website are not the same as in store. I traded in a game the other day and I got a lower trade in value, it was only a $1 difference so I wasn't going to argue but yeah be prepared to expect a lower trade in value then what is on the website.

Aren't they supposed to honor the website trade in price if you print it out?

No, the print out or saved quotes are both worthless. If they can pull it up and verify it's that amount at the moment, they can manually adjust. But manually adjusting can also cause them to get investigated by LP, and too many adjustments might get them fired. It's dumb.

Pokemon Pearl dropped to match Best Buy at $30 new/$28 used. I bought a couple weeks ago at $38 used.
Can I return in store without the packing slip? Or better off just forgetting about it. Online chat turned me down.

Their return period for used is 7 days unless it's defective. It's 30 days for defective used games.

Are we not able to trade in Cyberpunk anymore?
They likely pushed values under. Not even Left 4 Dead(1st)is accepted

Thanks, I think this is the first confirmation of Sniper Elite 5 triggering the 20% bonus, so that probably means the others mentioned in the earlier post (Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, The Ascent: Cyber Edition, Touken Ranbu Warriors) will also trigger it.

It can’t be that hard to MAKE a game defective. Just let your kid use it as a frisbee.
I provide the rule. What you do with the rule is your decision.

Got a new Galactic Purple PS5 controller for $54.99 before taxes with my $5 pro coupon off!
Nice choice! I'm usually not big on purple, but I love mine.
