I kept getting that same message too, but I was finally able to get it to redeem using the Best Buy phone app.

I had the same issue & noticed that the e-mail address didn't match up my current Best Buy account info (it was sent to a prior e-mail address that I had an account on). I would recommend that you register and post your issue on the Best Buy Forums. I posted and am currently working with a mod through Private Message on getting the certificate on my current account & also cleaning up any of my old residual accounts as well.

Pretty sure it works on digital games.  Last time I got $5 I got Among Us for Switch for free for my kids.

I got another $5 in an e-mail with a different subject line:“Great news… Yes, the Outlet Event is on!”

This was after getting $10 in the last e-mail. Funny how I haven’t been picked for these in years but now got two weeks apart. Seems to be really widespread this time.
