Monitor listings are often like this, you can't take their word for any non-obvious spec they give. That number is based on if you turn the dimming feature on which will adjust backlight in dim scenes, so they can just measure a full black screen and a full white screen and claim crazy contrast. You'll see this number on tons of monitors that have this useless, if not outright annoying, feature (note that it's only useless if there are no dimming zones or a very low number of them, which is every single sub-$1000 monitor).

That said, this monitor is insanely overpriced for the current market and nobody should buy it anyway.
