CAGcast #730: Fake E3 2022 Wrap Up Show

Weird to hear how anti-EV CheapyD is. I used to be a huge Elon fan but since 2020 he’s gotten weird. Still love Tesla the company and their mission. Long ago I realized the CEOs of most Fortune 500 companies are terrible people.

I didn’t see anywhere else mention this. I watched the Xbox presentation on my Xbox and at the end I was gifted a $5 credit.

Knowing his taste in movies, Cheapy should 100% play and finish What Remains of Edith Finch?  It's one of the most emotionally impactful games I've ever played and has at least two profoundly sad scenes.  I've thought about one particular scene involving a young child (no spoilers) numerous times since my daughter was born 4 years ago.

Great game...

My wife and I watched the entire The Staircase documentary on Netflix, then the HBO Max series, and that is just a hell of a lot of crazy. I agree with Cheapy that Firth played Peterson pretty well. He nails the voice and inflections. We both believe he did it as well, but I want to believe an owl did it. I do feel bad for the guys family though, the kids didn’t deserve any of that being thrust into their lives.

And Dewey Cox might be the worst movie I’ve ever watched seen. Every time Wombat says something positive about it, I just shake my head in disbelief.

I agree with AtlasShrugged80. Cheapy should definitely play What Remains of Edith Finch? It should have you bawling at certain points. It isn't that long of a game either.

I just subscribed to PS + Extra for a month to play the DLC for Ghost of Tsushima, and The Dark Pictures: Little Hope. I don’t have a PS5 yet, but when I finally get one I will most likely get the $100 annual subscription like Wombat did.

When my month of PS+ Extra expires I will get back on Game Pass to play the DLC for Forza Horizon 5, which I already bought with MS credit earned from Bing Rewards.

Cheapy should definitely play What Remains of Edith Finch. My daughter never plays video games except this one. It's her favorite game of all time and she's been through it many times through the years. Short game, I believe about 5 hours. Their only other game is the Unfinished Swan on PS3.

Also, I'm really really glad I listened to last week's episode to hear Cheapy talk about Chorus and the fact that it has come to Game Pass. I've been wanting to play that since it came out, but didn't want to spend $40 on an indie that might not be good. Signed up for a month of Game Pass, and am loving it. It's the best space dogfighter I've ever played. I was shocked when the download began that it was almost 30gigs, but besides the facial animations, I find it incredible that a game that looks and plays this well isn't a AAA game and was made by a small studio. I'm right there with you Cheapy. This is the best game I've played in quite a while.

Cheapy talked about Chorus in a past podcast and I picked it up from his recommendation. The game is a blast! Only a couple of hours in but loving it so far.
