Welcome back... regarding Primal, it's not "old", season 1 was 2019-2020, season 2 just concluded last month. Also, I freaking LOVE it. S2 is even better than S1, and try HARD not to find spoilers as to how it ends. For those who haven't watched yet, it's VERY much not for kids.

I agree with ship, so glad Gamepass is now adding these kid's games that are SO not worth paying for but my kid would be asking for anyway.

Regarding Wombat fasting on Yom Kippur but also playing video games…

A rabbi once taught me that each commandment and Jewish ritual that you follow gets you a little closer to God. So while it would be optimal to follow all of the ritualistic parts of Yom Kippur like abstaining from electronics and creature comforts, attending services, etc., just fasting is still worthwhile on its own. We should never feel that it is pointless to participate in one area of religion and not another.

This concludes the Torah study portion of the CAGCast.

Speaking of Fletch and Books, have any of you read the Fletch novels by Gregory Mcdonald?

Side note: do you know of a location on the internet that is keeping track of all of your ‘Watch this jerks’ segments?

Love the show,
Max

Thanks for talking about Overwatch 2 and how baffling it was to throw it away! As someone who purchased it day 1 and played a LOT at the start, maybe my experience matched a lot of others out there...

1. Got in quick, played with friends

2. Blizzard focused on e-Sports, game got too competitive

3. Friends left the game, random players were mostly toxic

4. Played Deathmatch for a long time, but things got stale

5. Switched to Fortnite (thanks Wombat)

I don't see myself even trying Overwatch 2. Fortnite's community is much better and they keep the game updated and kinda goofy.

Thanks for the podcast!

I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen news of a class action lawsuit on Overwatch 1 yet. I bought a disc copy for $60 on day 1, and then a digital copy for $20 later on so i wouldn't have to find my disc, then I bought it on Switch for $25ish on a sale to play it on Switch also. With the release of Overwatch 2 they basically revoked my $105 worth of Overwatch 1 copies by making them unplayable and haven't given me a refund but took back the goods I purchased.

Maybe they would make the argument that what I bought for $60 is available in Overwatch 2, but I would make the counter argument that now the things that were available to earn without extra cash are locked behind paywalls in Overwatch 2.
