Horizon Forbidden West at Meijer for $30 is the PS4 version. Might want to mention that.

Thanks for putting this together!!

Is it just me or are the ads this year reallllllly late to release everywhere?

Like Black Friday is literally next week lol

Markets are down and a recession is looming, impacting both sales and customer confidence.

I wouldn't be surprised if the retail outlets are playing a game of chicken regarding pricing, while also more uncertain on actual purchasing power of your average customer.

News lately states gaming revenues are down YOY overall, while Americans are still buying, but almost entirely on credit.

Will that bubble burst before or after Christmas?

My favorite time of year. Thanks for getting a thread together. Now all we need is for someone to Pin it!

By the time they post ads you might as well just go to the store on black Friday morning opening.

Thanks to all the free stimulus money courtesy of democrat spending. I don't expect a healthy black Friday. The US dollar is devalued and we're in or going into a recession. As mentioned the corporate retail franchises are playing chicken with their BF deals.

I already see breath of the wild $40 dollars and people mention its 5 years old.

What no one mentions. It was $25 dollars new at gamestop last year black Friday.

Knock it off with the politics crap. Let's not forget which party originated the stimulus, and also the fact that the last stimulus was almost two years ago.

This isn't the place for partisan political garbage.

The first stimulus checks may have had Trumps name on it. But it wasn't bipartisanship. It was heavily pushed by democrats.

Just like student debt forgiveness that is also failing.

Yeah it's worse this year.

For all who don't know. Breath of the wild was $25 dollars last black Friday on gamestop.

To be fair I didn't expect those deals with the economy this black Friday.

I'll probably buy nothing, and wait for used copies.

Those of you who got breath of the wild last year for $25 are winners.

Damn, the only 2 things I need to find a deal on is the new Play and Charge kits for Xbox Series s/x and a 12 month PlayStation Plus card. I’m happy the wife got me the early deal on the Series S at Target with the extra controller for $250.

Aw yeah this is what I’ve been waiting for. Does seem weaker than last year but I don’t even remember which retailer won for me last year lol. Could’ve been GameStop and/or target

Elden Ring at Gamefly was $24.99 last I checked. That's if you don't mind an used copy of the game.
oof really? thanks for the heads up, i was considering getting that with gamestop's b2g1 but if even that's barely a deal id rather just spend $40 on forbidden west alone than ~80 for 2 extra games i dont want to play immediately

The problem with this theory is ads have to be ready weeks in advance to be printed and shipped for distribution, and they usually leak at the print stage (if not before). Online? Absolutely. Pretty hard to play chicken when your ad is already in hard copy, though.

Soul Hackers 2 for 30 isn't that bad considering it just came out. But it's also a Sega game so it'll probably be 15 bux by the end of the year anyway.

I'm really just hoping for a Mario Rabbids 2 deal, mostly.

But do retailers even print ads in papers anymore? I feel like weekly ads are gone now. I certainly don't see any of them anymore from the usual suspects in our papers anymore.

The leak for GameStop's is photos of a print ad. But yeah I think some of the major retailers stopped doing print a few years ago.

I did too. That Walmart deal was great; figured that was as low as it was going to be for Black Friday. Oh well...
Looks like The Quarry in the Ad posting is for the "Xbox One" version not the "Xbox Series X" version (The bar in the upper left is white for the X1X version and gray for the XSX version).

the thanksgiving paper should still have black friday ads
Given how retailers have handled BF as a month long promo period since Covid, and have also basically trained their consumers to not bother with looking for their ads in Sunday papers, it would seem strange to waste money and bother with print ads.

Btw, I do think this is why we're seeing far fewer leaks this year for BF.

Well, we all know GS runs its company @$$ backwards so ...

Sold out, but thanks anyway.
Still in stock for XSX (if you also have that console). I think Digital Foundry reviewed it slightly higher than the PS5 version, so you won't be losing anything by selecting for that console.
