Bringing my weekly playlist posts over from the XBL deals thread.  Hope to get more discussion here, including tune and vinyl sharing.

Series 18, Spring - Mar 23 - 30

Trial - Street - B700 1983 Audi Sport Quattro - Used 137 185 266.  Sloppy races in the rain and seemed to be a bit more traffic than usual.  First race has a right bend around 13% where if you're going too fast, you'll fly off the cliff.  I did from 2nd place, as did the leader.  I rewound, but I think the former leader quit rather than rewind.  Someone else quit, too.  Made it back up to 6th, almost 5th but ran head on into a traffic car on a blind hill turn near the end.  Second race, got into first, but was bumped by an AI racer going into the first turn and couldn't recover by the second turn, needing another rewind.  Clawed back to 7th.  Team won both races, though with 2 near the top and me and someone else beating enough AI at the back to keep the win.  Tried a second attempt, knowing a bit more what to expect.  Had some trouble with traffic in the first race and finished 5th.  Came in 2nd in the 2nd race.  Might've been able to win if I had blocked out the player that won, but I didn't want to risk screwing up.  Team took top 5 spots in second race.

East Mangrove Circuit EventLab - B700 Modern Rally - 1 lap, about 4 minutes, no AI.  Rewards the weekly challenge vehicle.

Creek Crossing Circuit EventLab - S1 900 Hoonigan - 2 laps, about 1:50 per, no AI.

Mountain Top Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 1,771.7 feet (3 stars is 1,650) - Hit 2,122.39 with the untuned rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Started at the paved / dirt intersection north of the ramp.  Floored it after the road straightened out and made the jump at 188 mph.

San De Las Minas Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 175 mph (3 stars is 160) - Hit 244.79 with the untuned rally Rimac.  Started on the paved road SW of the trap, down at the dirt intersection at the one end of the Orto Mundo Drift Zone.

Otro Mundo Drift Zone - S2 998 Anything - 115k (3 stars is 70k) - Pretty consistent runs with the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164).  North / south was 131,556.  South / north was 131,476.

Monster Dash - Dirt - S1 900 Rally Monsters - No real issues in the 1978 Hooinigan Ford Escort RS1800 (555 193 455).  IIRC, I had to deal with some rubber banding the last time the Gauntlet was a playlist championship, and this time was no different.  Had pulled away early, but one of the AI drivers got ahead around 20%.  Looked like they tried again around 50% (start ascending the volcano) and 72% (start volcano descent), but didn't get too close.  They did get close at 83% (end of volcano descent) and 93%, but I pulled away during the last stretch.

Foto Opportunity - Cross Country - B700 Offroad - No problems with the 2014 Ford Ranger T6 Rally Raid (617 431 244).  Estadio race takes you through the stadium with bowling pins set up.  Not sure if smashing 10 in race will count for Monday's daily.

Chest unlocked for me after winning a race (Bajío Trail) in the 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR.  Probably any Mitsubishi Lancer will work.  Figured on a Dirt route.  First tried that car in the Mangrove EventLab but it didn't work.

Chest location

Follow the dirt road from the Eliminator icon.  It's just off the road to the right, north of the Valle De Las Ranas icon.

If you travel along the dirt road east to west through San Sebastian (south center of the map), the mural is on the east face of a building on the left side of the road.

Hot Wheels

Forest Flume Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 190 mph (3 stars is 175) - Hit 220.56 with the untuned rally Rimac.  Ran east to west (downhill), starting from the left turn northeast of the zone (a little SW of the Treetop Towers icon).

Thanks Bloomy! I am in the habit of using the tunes posted on the Forza subreddit but enjoy seeing your posts and knowing someone else enjoys this game as much as I do.

Series 19, Summer - Mar 30 - Apr 6

As mentioned in the XBL thread, already downloaded tunes were broken by the update on Tuesday and causes the game to crash if you apply them to a car.  Downloading them again should work.

Trial - Road - A784 2018 BMW M5 - I just used a stock, but according to the Forza forums, you can apply some upgrades and use different tires to get the PI back to the stock level.  Was teamed with corner rammers, so I hung back behind them and blocked the AI.  Team won both races.  Finished 7th (last person) and 10th (hit the corner of a building in Mulegé).

Parametric Night EventLab - S1 900 Hypercars - 3 laps, little over a minute per, no AI.

Miami Vice Riverside Drive EventLab - A800 Retro Supercars - 2 laps, about 1:40 / 1:50 per, no AI.  After completing the race, game will sit for a while before bringing up the finish screen.

Runway Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 1,968.5 feet (3 stars is 1,750) - Cleared 2,485.4 feet with the untuned rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Started from the far end of the runway.  Hit the ramp at 261, left the ramp at 248.

Pequeno Puente Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 177 mph (3 stars is 160) - Rally Rimac hit 196.4.  Started from the bend north of the trap.

Airfield Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 175 mph (3 stars is 150) - Rally Rimac hit 180.24 going west to east, starting from the 4 way intersection west of the zone.

Love at First Night - Street - B700 Super Hot Hatch - Used the 2014 Volkswagen Golf R (817 151 865).  Had to push the leading AI on the final turn in the first race.  Had to rerun the second race and overtook the lead AI on the final turn on the hill.

Thanks for your festival playlist summaries Bloomy. The new DLC is good. The join a team career mode is a good idea, but I wish there was a 8 to 10 ( maybe longer)race points championship for the campaign. After FH3, the removed the multi-race championships from the campaign and put them in the playlist instead. Maybe the next Forza Motorsport will have a career mode.

Playground touted the DLC as having the most events they've had in a FH expansion, but that was just spin.  FH4 Lego had 34 routes, FH3 Hot Wheels had 28 and FH3 Blizzard Mountain had 27.  Each team in FH5 Rally has 8 regular routes and a champion race.  That's 27, with the Goliath making for 28.  But someone on the Forza forums noted that each route is a (mostly) reverse run of another route.  As I was progressing through the races, I started to notice that when I'd finish a race, I'd be at the start icon for another.  When the devs said it had the most events, they're probably thinking 52 (24 rally, 24 race, 3 champion, Goliath) when there's really only 16 routes laid out if we don't double count the reverses.

So I was surprised when I entered the DLC and saw there were only 32 roads, given the number of events that were supposed to be in there.  That's probably why there weren't more routes, too much similarity given the small number of roads, unless they went with some cross country routes.  But I guess they just wanted to limit those to the champion races and Goliath.  Was surprised the Goliath was limited to the southern half of the map, though.  Was also surprised there wasn't a drag route on that straightaway in the NE by the solar panels.  Though it was a bit on the short side.

Also found out something yesterday that means I've been looking at FH5 wrong.  In FH4, the non-Trial playlist championships were set to Highly Skilled, but if you had your difficulty set higher, the AI would scale up.  I thought that carried over to FH5, but that's not the case.  The non-Trial championships are hard set to Highly Skilled.  I had my FH4 at Pro and was doing pretty well in the championships there, aside from high level cross country (broken AI collision detection) and street.  So I started on Expert in FH5 and bumped to Pro pretty quickly.  Since I was handling the playlist well, I eventually bumped to Unbeatable.  Was still doing well in the playlist, but would sometimes struggle in exhibition races, like daily and weekly challenges.  I figured that was due to car type mismatches where I was at a disadvantage.  Nope, I just wasn't at that level.  And that's why I was having trouble with the Rally DLC races.

Series 19, Autumn - Apr 6 - Apr 13

Trial - Road - C584 2016 Vauxhall Corsa VXR - I used 483 514 444.  Not an easy Trial this week.  The PI needs to match the stock version, but you can do some upgrades after switching to drag tires.  Going to probably need to stick with FWD.  Top speed for AWD is too low and RWD swap adds too much PI.  I tried first with an AWD tune, was the only person left at the start of the 2nd race.  Clipped a checkpoint, game said I missed it and fell too far back, so quit out.  Switched to a FWD when I saw the top speed drop.  The 90 degree left early in the first lap of the first race will turn into a cluster*****.  I was plowed by multiple teammates in both attempts.  For the second attempt, I managed to stay in 7th, with 4 people ahead of me.  One person was leading, then 2 AI, then 3 people clustered in front of me.  I couldn't get around them without risking a pile up, so focused on keeping the other AI back.  Second race, I got into 2nd place, but let a couple people pass me rather than risk fighting.  One person missed a checkpoint, so I got back to 3rd and finished the race there.  Team won both races.

Slippery When Wet EventLab - S1 900 Rally Monsters - 2 laps, about 2:40 per, no AI.  There are a couple Hot Wheels boosters that may catch you off guard in the early part of the lap.  After crossing the finish, the game takes a while before going to the completion screen.

Horizon: Midnight Scene EventLab - A800 Anything - 3 laps, bit over a minute per, no AI.

Hotel Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 590.6 feet (3 stars is 450) - New PB of 818.74 with the untuned rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Starting from the sign, drove away and a little to the left to the top of the hill.  Hit the ramp at about 165 mph.

Océano Azul Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 250 mph (3 stars is 225) - Hit 259.68 with the untuned rally Rimac.  Started from back at the triangle east of the trap.  Had tried from the Emerald Circuit (Slippery When Wet EventLab), but I only hit 238 and needed more of a run up.

Giro Encorvado Drift Zone - S2 998 Anything - 33k (3 stars is 30k) - Used the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164).  Hit 39,567 going clockwise, 36,552 counter-clockwise.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Porsche - Road - A800 Porsche - No problems with the 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo (946 975 309), though the AI wasn't too far behind the whole way.

It's at the bottom of the small road in Guanajuato that the mortarboard icon is on top of.  If you have trouble seeing the icon on the map, it's the second right after the Calle Principal Speed Trap.

Collectibles - Shouldn't have any trouble seeing plenty driving along the dirt road by the Eliminator icon.  Pretty sure I counted correctly and it completed after 12 instead of 10.  Not sure if the Bonus Barrel skill count was accurate for today's daily.

Hot Wheels

Ice Crash Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 1,902.9 feet (3 stars is 1,300) - Hit 2,459.65 with the Rimac.  Fast traveled to the tank balloon SE of the Mexico fast travel icon, which puts you on the proper side of a gap in the track.

Night Swift - Speed - A800 Super Saloons - Used the Porsche Panamera again, no problems.

Reservoir View Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 95 mph (3 stars is 90) - Couldn't do it in the Rimac or Hoonigan, so I went with the stock 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemental Forza Edition.  Managed 96.92 going uphill and 101.15 going downhill.

Mini-utes to Midnight - Grit Reapers - B700 Mini - Tried different Minis for the races.  Won the 2 Dirt races with the 2018 Mini X-Raid John Cooper Works Buggy (153 219 914).  Won the Road one with the 2012 Mini John Cooper Works GP (147 301 248).

Trial - Road - B626 1993 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec - Stock PI, but can still do some upgrades.  Traded a little top speed for improved acceleration with 584 551 303.  Helped with the first race, since I was able to get up into second and mess with the AI to allow others to move up.  Finished second behind a person I wasn't going to fight with.  Second race, a "teammate" shoved me into the wall at the start and never got into a good position.  Got ahead of one person, but they rammed me into the wall on a turn so I just stayed back and blocked the AI.  Finished 5th, last person.  Team swept.

Hot Wheels Super Scramble EventLab - A800 Rally Monsters - 2 laps, about 1:45 per, no AI.

Osaka Sea Port // Street Race EventLab - S1 900 Track Toys - 3 laps, little over a minute per unless you do some exploring.  No AI.

Baja Showjump Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 984.3 feet (3 stars is 850) - Hit 1,357 with the untuned rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Started at the paved / dirt intersection southeast of the ramp, left the ramp at 188 mph.

Ladera Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 100 mph (3 stars is 95) - Topped 101 going east to west and 103 going west to east with the Rimac.  I think west to east is easier.  Gentler turns at the start so you can get up to about 120 before the final 2 turns and coast through them, with a little gas on the short straights to keep you from falling too much.  Was about 106-108 when making the final turn.  Bit harder starting from the east with the sharper turns at the start meaning you have to recover speed and not be going too fast for the right curve near the west end.

Barranco Trail Blazer - S2 998 Anything - 35 seconds (3 stars is 30) - 38.158 in the Rimac.  Started from the El Descenso Cross Country icon.

Buggy Nights - Cross Country - B700 Unlimited Buggies - Used the 2011 Penhall The Cholla (559 464 528).  Needed to run the first race twice.  First time, I got into the lead around the 30% mark, then fell behind an AI in another Cholla in the turn that makes you cross the river twice and could never catch it.  Second attempt, got into the lead, took that river turn better, but needed to block out a couple other Chollas that charged up a couple times.  No problems with the middle race, didn't get into the lead in the 3rd race until the final turn.

Dunes Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 820.2 feet (3 stars is 650) - Hit 963 with the Rimac starting from the bend in the paved road south of the Bike Track.  Hit 1,021.6 by going back into the dirt for a longer run up.

Neon Knights - Apex Predators - A800 Trucks - Used the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Unimog U5023 (169 916 014).  Had to run the middle race twice because the AI shoved me off the road at a couple points and I couldn't recover.  No problems with the other 2.  I think the Unimog can be faster than the Tankpool, just be careful about the checkpoint flags.  The outer edges of the back end can clearly pass through the flags but not register.

I saw some people on the Forza forums say not all the Aston Martins work.  The Valhalla didn't, but the 2019 Vantage did (which I think is the one available in the Forzathon shop).  Don't remember which one I used, but it worked first try.

Series 19, Spring (Hot) - Apr 20 - Apr 27

Trial - Road - A751 2013 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG - Kept things pure stock this week.  First race went well for me, was in second but let a person pass rather than fight for it.  Hard left around the 3/4 mark hurt a couple other players dropping from mid-pack to 11th and 12th, but 3 of us took the top spots for the win.  Second race, an AI didn't want to be caught, but 4 of us finished 2-5.  Was in 4th until the very end when someone drafted past me just before the finish and, again, I didn't want to fight for it.

Los Jardines Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 1,968.5 feet (3 stars is 1,100) - Used the aero tuned 2019 Rimac Concept Two (167 202 516).  Continued on from the speed trap, taking the turn a bit wide but getting centered on the road in time to hit the ramp a bit over 240 mph and cleared 2,113.

Federal Highway Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 280 mph (3 stars is 270) - Untuned rally Rimac wasn't fast enough, topping out around 261.  So I used the aero tuned Rimac and hit 286.74.  Started from the cloverleaf interchange.

Camino Del Cielo Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 140 mph (3 stars is 135) - Not an easy zone, with the target just 5 above the 3 star mark.  My best run, taking the top spot on the CAG leaderboard with a new PB, was using the 2018 McLaren Senna (996 070 065).  Hit 144.68.  Also managed 141.86 with the stock 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemental Forza Edition.  Squeaked by with the untuned rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630) at 140.12.  Didn't trust the handling of the aero tuned one to even attempt it.  All cleared runs were downhill starting from the Riviera Sprint.  Best uphill attempt was with the Sesto FE at 139+.

The new Oval Circuit track added in the latest update has a bunch of accolades tied to it.  The circuit is a permanent addition for racing, but will only be available in Freeroam during the series that starts on Thursday, and some of those accolades need to be completed in Freeroam.  Some Speed Traps and Speed Zones will also be available again during the series.

Series 20, Summer (Wet) - Apr 27 - May 4

Saturday's daily can be done in the Trial or Road championship.

Trial - Road - B700 Hot Hatch - Winning attempt was with a 2003 Volkswagen Golf R32 (149 860 237).  First attempt in a 2015 Audi S1 did not go well for the team, mainly because of the team.  My Audi did alright, came in 3rd in the first race behind a person and an AI.  Second race is a real clusterf- with all the turns climbing the mountain leading to a lot of shoving into walls.  I was the only person left at the end, in 5th.  Second attempt was with the VW Golf that I tuned down from an S1 build.  Needed all 3 races, but team won first and third.  Started first race as leading player, blew past the AI and won the race, with team taking top 4 spots.  Second race, also started as first player.  Got into 2nd quickly, but the other players jostled in the turns.  Was torn between trying to get into 1st and trying to help my team move up by messing with the AI.  Ended up 2nd, with no one else above 6th.  Third race, was 2nd player, got quickly into 3rd, then ended up flipping headfirst taking a turn too fast and trying to stabilize myself with a wall on the following straight.  Fell back to last, but got back to 5th or 6th.

Ridge Crest Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 1,476.4 feet (3 stars is 1,150) - Hit 1,701.65 with the untuned rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Started at the point where the 2 ramps coming down from the highway connect with the road that goes under it.  Cleared the ramp just over 200 mph.

Swamplands Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 180 mph (3 stars is 155) - New PB of 191.677 with the 2020 Koeniggsegg Jesko (957 293 364).  Started at the 4 way intersection with the dirt road north of the trap.

Atlantes De Tula Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 170 mph (3 stars is 150) - Hit 174.79 with the 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR (173 153 818).  Started from the Cascada Trail.  Also hit 171.03 with a stock 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition.

Just pulled off a huge upset going for a no car drop win in the Eliminator. I beat a level 9 with the level 1 Beetle (my only head to head win}. My 8th eliminator win overall. The Eliminator in FH5 so much better than in FH4. Sorry for the shameless boast.

Trial - Road - A800 1990s - Did alright in the 1994 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta (112 697 536).  Was leading for most of the first race, but got bumped into the wall on a turn by the 2nd place player and couldn't get back in front.  Second race, was in second behind an AI with the person that bumped me right behind, including some more bumping.  Hit a wall trying to avoid him and ended up 3rd, but he finished 2nd.

Collectibles - Found plenty around the Horizon Festival.

Starting from the Launch Control Danger Sign, there's one to the north.  Follow that road to the Festival Speed Zone, should be 2-3 more before you get to the zone.  Should be 1-2 in the Zone, then keep following the road.  Should get to 10 before you get to the Giro Encorvado Drift Zone, though there'll be a bunch more.

Another one where the road splits north at the Festival Drag Strip.  Found a few more on the roads north of the garage.

Forest Leap Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 1,476.4 feet (3 stars is 1,250) - Managed 1,738.45 with the rally Rimac.  Left the track at 244 mph.  Tried the aero tuning one, leaving the track a bit above 250, but just got into the 1,750s.  Had my best runs with the 2020 Koeniggsegg Jesko (957 293 364), topping out at 1,858.12.  Left the track at 255.  All attempts were started at the Goliath.  That turn toward the sign is tough.

Trial - Road - A800 Track Toys - I generally try to use autoshow cars for events, so I tuned the 2002 BMW M3-GTR (617 827 997).  I think the event started with 5 people, but there were only 4 about midway through the first lap.  Didn't catch the AI PIs, but pretty sure they're not tuned given how quickly we all got into the lead.  I finished 3rd and 2nd.  First race, someone in a Manx FE couldn't handle the late lap turns at the traffic circle and fell back, allowing me to move up a spot.  They also spun out and fell back in the 2nd race, while someone else missed a checkpoint and quit.

Tulum Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 190 mph (3 stars is 170) - Hit 203.06 with the Rimac starting from the north entrance to the Apex Outpost.

Camino De Montaña Drift Zone - S2 998 Anything - 130k (3 stars is 120k) - Made 3 runs in the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164).  First was east to west, starting from the curve south of the east end.  Hit 145,660.  Set a new PB of 151,778 on the west to east return trip.  Thought the top of the CAG leaderboard (162,550) was within reach, so went east to west again and hit 168,198.

Racing in Style - Road - B700 Vintage Racers - Used the 1926 Bugatti Type 35 C (268 350 225).  Car's handling is pretty slippery, but it's the cheapest of the type in the autoshow and I already had one tuned.

Last week to get the Oval Track Freeroam accolades under the Evolving World tab.  The race related ones should remain obtainable.

Trial - Road - A800 2000s - Used the 2008 BMW Z4 M Coupe (434 156 224).  Car did pretty well, though had to wall ride some turns.  Came in 3rd in the first race, behind a person and an AI.  In the 2nd race, was in 2nd place going into the left turn around the 80% or so mark, and someone in a Hot Wheels Deora rammed me from behind, driving me into the wall and losing a few places.  I decided to stop near the finish so the team would lose the race.  Guy was ramming again in the 3rd race, shoving me from 3rd to 4th, so I decided to stop again to tank the entire Trial.  Would've worked, except the person in last dropped out, giving the team a 50 point win in the race and the Trial win.  Guy told me in XBL chat after the Trial I should learn to use my brakes.  I asked why it would've mattered, since he rear ended me while I was braking going into a turn.  He claimed he was a racer IRL, I told him he should learn to be a better teammate.  Jackass.

Heights of Mulegé Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 984.3 feet (3 stars is 850) - Hit 1,271 with the 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Set a waypoint at the Danger Sign and fast traveled to the dirt road north of the expressway for my run up.  Cleared the ramp at 180 mph.  Coincides with Tuesday's daily.

Pantano Pass Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 180 mph (3 stars is 165) - New PB of 227.4 with the Rimac.  If you travel west from the trap, a dirt road merges into the paved road at a bend.  Starting from that point, I got 222.  Going back along the dirt road, when it bends, an unmarked dirt road continues on into the trees.  I went back into the trees to begin the run up.

River Run Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 115 mph (3 stars is 110) - Managed 115.90 going north to south and 115.26 going south to north with the 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR (173 153 818).  Rimac couldn't handle the turns while maintaining speed.  Started from the bends in the road past each end of the zone.  One of the few main map stunts where the threshold was above my PB.  I think this was the first one since they set a 1 million point target for the big drift zone on the east side of the volcano.

Series 21, Summer (Wet) - May 25 - Jun 1

New Pathfinder tab in the Evolving World accolades section, one set for each week of the series.  At least the first one is also tied to this week's treasure hunt.  The start of a path is marked by 2 green balloons and you're supposed to follow the red balloons until you get to a set of green ones marking the end.  There's no indication you're properly following it until you get to the end when the accolade pops up, though for the most part you can see the next red one.  Only time I couldn't was going down a hill during the 3rd trail.  (Someone on the Forza forums said if you pin the accolade, you may get a 10 minute timer when you get to the start, which is a lot more time than is needed.)

A bunch of new accolades were also added to the Photo tab under Creative to coincide with the new photo features introduced in the latest update.  For today's daily, you need to take a picture standing outside your car.  While in Photo Mode, go to Effects, scroll down to character and move to a position outside the car.  Switch back to photo and snap a pic.

Also a couple Cupra cars were gifted in messages, one of which is needed for the Dirt championship.

Trial - Cross Country - A800 Sports Utility Heroes - Had a good showing in the 2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo (119 662 635), finishing 3rd (behind a player and an AI) and 2nd (behind the winning player of the first race).  Didn't notice it last series, but the update before the last series fixed PI scaling in the Trial.  3 of us were tuned to 800, and so were 3 AI, though not all in the same cars.

Sand Bank Slalom Beach Party '27 EventLab - A800 Offroad Capable - Guess it's eligible if it's fitted with Offroad tires.  Just reused the Cayenne from the Trial.  A lot of twists and turns in the first half and at the very end, could miss some checkpoints if you're not paying attention.  Took me a little under 5 minutes, no AI.

Splash of the Titans Showcase Remix - Pulled ahead just before the finish line as scripted.

La Mesa Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 7787.4 feet - Easy enough with the 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Hit 860 starting from the road / dirt intersection north of the sign, hit it at about 170 mph.  Can start on the road northwest of the sign and cross terrain if you want to shoot for a PB.

Jungle Traversal Trail Blazer - S2 998 Anything - 15 seconds (3 stars is 12) - This is a returning PR stunt.  Oddly, the icon showed I had a PB of 24.7, but wouldn't show me on the leaderboard.  Ran this with the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164) starting from the dirt T intersection west of the start gate.  Hit 15.3 on the first try going for a straight shot, dealing with water and trees.  But if you stay to the left of the stream, there's a dirt path which lets you avoid some trees, but cut through the woods when it turns away.  Headed up to the paved road, followed it a little but still cut through woods when the road curved away.  Best time was 26.354.

Sick Dunes - Cross Country - A800 Unlimited Offroad - No real problems with the 2017 Ford #25 "Brocky" Ultra4 Bronco RTR (216 289 225).  Unlike my first attempt with the Rockstar Trophy Truck.  The fog in the first race is pretty bad, at points you can barely see the checkpoint marker against the background.

The first trail begins at the T intersection by Tulum on the road heading inland.  The second one begins near the east end of the Rocky Hills Speed Zone at the south east tip of Guanajuato.  Third one begins on the dotted dirt road that leaves the east end of the air field toward the Airfield Speed Zone.

Chest location

Photo

The spot is in the field just above the Cascadas De Agua Azul icon.  A bus, pickup and some camera equipment like in the playlist menu.  Car doesn't matter, you need to get a picture of donkeys roaming around the field a little north of the setup.

Collectibles

Playa Tranquila is in the north east corner of the map.  I found plenty of wolf cutouts in the woods between the dotted dirt road and river.

Treetops Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 180 mph (3 stars is 145) - Hit 242.19 with the Rimac running east to west.  Started my run up near the north end of the Turbo Knot Drift Zone over the clouds on the east side of the map.

Orient-Steering - Hazard - B700 Modern Rally - Used the 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (127 056 759).  Had to run the middle race twice, a lot of time spent off track and crossing water.  No problems with the other 2 races, which both stayed on the track.

Dustbowl Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 160 mph (3 stars is 145) - New PB of 177.32 with the Rimac starting at the 4 way intersection north of the trap.  Hit 165 starting from the dotted dirt intersection a bit south of the trap.  Then followed the dirt road south of the trap and kept going straight into the desert when it bend.   Got about a half mile out, turned and floored it - 201.07 to top the CAG leaderboard.

Treasure Hunt

For the first Pathfinder trail, the San Sebastian icon is in the southernmost part of the map, little east of center.  If you follow the long straight dirt road that travels northwest from the icon, the green markers starting the first path are across from where that dirt road ends at the paved road.  Pinning the accolade actually marked the start for this one, but didn't work for the others.

The second path starts at the paved road above the "PA" of Pantano De La Selva, just east of the Gauntlet icon.

The third path is southwest of the stadium, on the paved road between the Cruce Del Valle and Las Laderas Street icons.  Originally traveled due south from the stadium and noticed the red balloons.  Followed them one way and ended up at the end point.

Chest location

At the end of the third path.

Photo

This took a while to find.  It's not only north of Mulegé, it's north of the highway.  If you travel north on the dirt road that goes under the highway northeast of Mulegé and southeast of the festival, you should see a balloon up on the ridge.  That's where the camera equipment is.  I didn't see any animals around, but I went into photo mode, took a picture and the challenge registered.

Collectibles

They're scattered across from the base of the big waterfall near the Cascadas Danger Sign west of the Wilds outpost.  Didn't find any on the side of the dirt road where GMC Jimmy barn is.  Also didn't find all 10 in one go.  Thought I was at 7 or 8, but after doing the Trial and coming back, got it after breaking 4.  Some on the Forza forums apparently had trouble with it, their cars clipped through them instead of breaking them.

Hot Wheels

Canyon Fire Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 1,640.4 feet - Hit 2,147.28 with the rally Rimac.  Set a route to the sign and fast traveled to the loop south of it.  Game placed me at the end of the loop closest to the sign.  Left the track at 240 mph.  Switched to my aero tune (167 202 516), left the track at 235 and added 6 feet - 2,153.69.  Tried from the other end of the loop, where the track splits off.  Aero doesn't control as well and I rattled off the walls a bit, but left the track at 244 and I got 2,245.53 and 2,245.74.  Took the turns a bit better with the regular rally, left the track at 248 and hit 2,251,15.

The accolade description for the second Pathfinder is wrong - it starts near the Copper Canyon and ends in Playa Tranquila.  I went to Playa Tranquila and found the 3 green balloon end marker.  Followed the red balloons to the start - on the north side of the road between the Lucha De Carreteras story icon and the Costa Este Cross Country icon.

The third Pathfinder starts on the dirt road to the southeast of Ek' Balam.  Follow the dirt road south from the Test Driver: Horizon Wilds story.

Chest location

It's not at the end of the 3rd trail this week.  If you go to the Flood, Sweat, and Gears Showcase icon, to the north of the road are a couple small buildings.  The chest is behind them.

Photo challenge

Photo equipment is a little southeast of the Baja California Trail icon, marked by a yellow balloon.  Tough to see the Lago Blanco name against the mostly white terrain just east of Dunas Blancas.  Took a pic of a dog in the next yard over and it registered.

If you don't see it, try entering and exiting a garage / house.  The setup wasn't there for me at all.  Based on the clue pic, I road up the paved road Baja California Trail was on, saw the dog in the yard and it registered.  Asked on the Forza forums, and was told it was there.  Exiting and entering the festival garage got it to show up.  I had taken a break, leaving the Xbox on the home screen.  When I started the game up again, it synced me back to the online, with the screen going black and bringing me back (a normal occurrence).  That may have bugged it out.  Have had something similar with the Arcade events.  Whenever I enter and exit a garage, they disappear and won't reappear unless I go offline and back online.

Collectibles

These were a bit of a pain.  The armadillos can blend in with the terrain and aren't very tall so can be hidden by shrubbery.  I didn't find any in the skill park by the Baja Outpost, they were all outside it.  Found a few in the terrain just north of the park, but there are some along the dirt roads to the north and east.  Travelled slowly north along the dirt road east of the park for a couple, then turned left at the 4 way for a couple more.  Between terrain and near the roads, I found 7 on the first pass.  Went to do a championship, came back and the road side ones had respawned, so I got the rest.

Hot Wheels

Forest Escape Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 1,148.3 feet (3 stars is 1,025) - Hit 1,231 with the Rimac starting where the track to the sign splits off.  Left the track at 190 mph.

Trial - Dirt - B700 Modern Rally - Used the 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (127 056 759).  Won the first race.  2 AI were in front, with 2 players and me jockeying for position behind them.  I managed to edge ahead and pass the AI on the final turns of the race.  Unfortunately, a couple other players were too far back and we lost by the margin of 1 position (1,900 to 1,750).  By the time the second race started, one of them had quit.  Wish they had done it sooner.  Finished 3rd in the second race behind 2 players.  Might've been able to win again, but messed up a turn.  Third race did not go well.  Got flipped after a player bumped me into a wall while going down hill, ended up back a few spots.  Got blocked out of a checkpoint by a mix of 1 player and AI late in the race, so a rewind put me in last and that's where I finished.

The Board Walk Custom Track EventLab - A800 Offroad Capable - 1 lap, little over 4.5 minutes, no AI.

Ranas Saltarinas Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 918.6 feet (3 stars is 820) - Hit 1,612.8 with the rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Started from the T intersection leading to the sign, hit the ramp at 160 mph.

Malpaís Trailblazer - S2 998 Anything - 20 seconds (3 stars is 15) - Topped 21 seconds with the Rimac, starting from the far end of the highway interchange.  My PB is 25.674 with the Jesko, and tried for that.  Best I could manage was 25.657 before moving on.  Need to start from the terrain with that, to hit the right side of the gate and stay to the right to avoid the hills and keep your wheels on the ground as much as possible to maintain speed.  Covers Saturday's daily.

Beach Ya to It - Road - S1 900 Super GT - No problems with the 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast (332 517 723).

Splash Down - Dirt - B700 Unlimited Buggies - Used the 2015 Alumnicraft Class 10 Race Car (684 170 424).  Not a pretty championship for me.  First tried The Cholla, since it was the only thing I had already tuned for the type.  Failed the first race a couple times, lacked speed.  Checked for something else, switching the Exocet to AWD put it well into A class, but I had a couple B tunes for the Alumnicraft.  Took me 2 tries for each of the circuits, but didn't have any problems with the trail.

First pathfinder location is set by pinning the accolade.  It's on the paved road east of the Trial icon.

Second pathfinder is on the paved road just west of the south end of the Costera Drift Zone northwest of Playa Azul.

Third pathfinder is near the V10 story icon in the northwest corner of the map, near the La Cabaña house.

Chest location

At the end of the third pathfinder.

Photo

The Hotel Mirador Balderrama icon is a bit northwest of the Eliminator icon, and the arrow is pointing to where you need to go.  The photo equipment is on the ridge between the Foto Final and Las Ranas Cross Country icons.  Snap a pic of the butterflies.

Collectibles

The Tierra Próspera icon is southeast of Guanajuato.  Just east of the icon is a dirt road, and east of that road is the section where you'll find most of the donkey cutouts.  I found one in a pond west near the Tierra Próspera icon, some along that dirt road, but most in the fields east of the road.  Follow the unmarked paths between fields and check around buildings.  More than 10 to be found around there.

Hot Wheels

Supersonic Spiral Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 150 mph (3 stars is 140) - Hit 185 with the Rimac going west to east, starting from the T intersection west of the zone.  Rattled off the sides of the track too much.  Managed 200 on a return trip starting from the end of the loop-de-loop.

Hyper Drive - Speed - S2 998 Anything - No problems with the Rimac.

Cráteres Secos Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 74 mph (3 stars is 70) - Managed 75.84 with the stock 2011 Lambo Sesto Elemento Forza Edition, running counter clockwise.  Previous PB was 71+ in the Hoonigan RS200.  Tried numerous times with that, falling just short at 73.86.  Rimac had trouble with the sand and turns.  Retooled my Hoonigan a bit and got up to 79.38.  Going to knock Mjkets off the top of the CAG leaderboard.

Chomping at the Grit - Grit Reaper - S1 900 Rally Monsters - No problems with the 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 (555 193 455).

Forced story chapter to start the week.

Sunday's daily

Fast travel to Cathedral Circuit icon, follow road north west.  Donut Media Stall is on the island at the traffic triangle.

Trial -Street - A800 Nissan Silvia - Used the 2000 Nissan Silvia Spec-R (106 919 868).  Started first race from the first player position and blew past the AI.  Took things carefully in the early tunnels and turns in Guanajuato, letting another player pass me.  Would've let another player by as well, but he didn't handle a turn so well and I stayed in 2nd.  One person dropped, team took top 4 and 11th to win, with me holding second.  Second race, I started from 2nd player slot, blew past the AI again and held the top spot throughout.  One player got close a couple times, but had trouble on some of the 90 degree turns.  Another player had dropped before the race, team finished 1-3 and 8th.

Cloverleaf Speed Trap - S1 900 Retro Sports Cars - 200 mph - Hit 201.61 with the 2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A (441 921 345).  Started from the 4-way intersection next to the Street Scene Outpost.

Trébol Speed Zone - S1 900 Retro Sports Cars - 220 mph - Hit 233 with the Mazda RX-7, starting from the Test Driver: Horizon Rush story icon east of the zone.

Las Curvas Drift Zone - S1 900 Retro Sports Cars - 75k (3 stars is 60k) - Used the Mazda again.  81,602 going west to east, starting from the intersection.  78k+ going east to west, starting from the unbreakable tree north of the road past the end of the zone.

Have-A-Go Hero - Road - A800 Upgrade Heroes - No problems with the 2013 Audi RS 7 Sportback (169 684 545).

  • Chihuahua Circuit
Take It to the Limit - Road - S2 998 Extreme Track Toys - Went with my FH4 PR stunt standby, the 2010 Mosler MT900S (181 867 490).  Fought for 2nd / 3rd place for the first third of the race.  Didn't get into first until passing the base of the volcano, where the EventLab icon is.  Held first for a bit, then Gideon's drivatar started rubber banding ahead while traveling down the west coast.  Some more rubber banding shenanigans around the San Sebastian raised highway and Tulum, but rewinds and blocking kept me in front.  Gideon again attempted to rubber band approaching the end, but I blocked him out.

Chest location

Just south of the "A" in "Tula" in the Atlantes De Tula landmark icon.

Photo challenge

Starting from the north end of the dashed dirt road in Mulegé, travel east along the paved road to the first paved intersection.  The mural is on the right.

Hot Wheels

Hammer's Shadow Speed Trap - A800 Lexus - 170 mph - Tuned a 2015 Lexus RC F (146 822 656).  Beat the target with all 3 approaches from the north.  Fast traveled to the loop north of the trap, which put me on the far end of the loop.  Set a waypoint to the trap so the game has you pointing the right way.  Gravity pulls the car toward the rail, and if you have to turn around, it can be tough to pull away and build up speed.  Managed 192.15 starting from there.  The farther fork north of the trap involves a loop-the-loop.  Fast traveled to the start of that loop, managed 181.  For the closer fork, started on the orange portion and drove onto the magnet track.  Hit 190.  Didn't hit the target approaching from the south.

Twenty Twenty Vision - Hazard - S1 900 2020s - No problems with the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 (123 086 341).  All routes stay on track.

Canyon Danger Sign - A800 Lexus - 820.2 feet - Used the RC F again, best attempt topped 848.  Started from the bend east of the Desafio champion race.  Hit the ramp around 130 mph.  Aim to the left to get a bit more distance as the ground drops in that direction.

On the Trail - Apex Predators - C600 Toyota - No problem with the 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 (247 514 401).

Series 22, Autumn (Storm) - Jun 29 - Jul 6

Trial - Road - A800 Honda S2000 - There are eligible 2003 and 2009 models, I used the 2003 model with 102 255 816.  The camshaft was the only engine upgrade that appeared to improve speed, so I focused on acceleration.  Blew past the other players at the start of the first race and got into first place by the 10% mark.  Another player got behind me around the 30% mark and I let him by before 40%.  Another couple drivers caught me around 60%, with an AI also passing me when I let a player past.  Got back into 4th and held off the AI.  Players took top 4 and bottom 2.  Wet roads in the second race caused some trouble, I got into 2nd by 15%, let a person past, then everyone had trouble with the hard right around the 35% mark, allowing an AI back into the lead.  I got back into first around 50%, with another player making gains.  I visibly clipped through the checkpoint flag at the ~75% hard left, but the game didn't think so, so a rewind put me near the back of the pack.  Fought back to 6th, behind 5 players and one AI.

Cannonball Danger Sign - C600 Cult Cars - 541.3 feet - Hit 573.78 with the 1973 AMC Gremlin X (897 031 070).  Started at the bend at the top of the hill northeast of the ramp.  Left the cliff at 142 mph.

Arid Hills Speed Trap - C600 Cult Cars - 125 mph - Gremlin hit 137.71 starting from the intersection by the Trial icon, hit 131.32 starting at the bend west of the trap.  Only hit 109 starting from the T intersection west of the trap.

Festival Speed Zone - C600 Cult Cars - 70 mph - Gremlin hit 72.55 going counterclockwise, starting from 4 way intersection past the end of the zone.  Started in the mid to upper 80s and kept the speed above the target as I coasted through the end of the zone.

We Came to Race - Street - B700 Muscle vs Tuner - No problems with the 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo (712 847 164), though I was past the 3/4 mark in the first race before finally getting into the lead.

Photo - This one was finicky for me.  Fast traveled to the house, changed cars - game registered the car but not the house.  Went down the driveway, parked between the fountain and the house.  House registered, but not the car (both were in the shot).  Drove to the end of the small driveway to the left, got both to register.

Collectibles

Found about 18 before I stopped looking.  Mostly on the dirt roads in the games area by the Baja Festival.  Some off the road, between the stands and by the clusters of tires near the Baja Circuit (games) icon.  Should land on one by fast traveling to the Horizon Baja Scramble.

Hot Wheels

Forest Flume Speed Zone - S1 900 Lotus - 180 mph (3 stars is 175) - Hit 182.5 with the 2012 Lotus Exige S (787 177 432).  Started at the left bend northeast of the zone.  First attempt was in the low 170s.  Was in the upper 180s in the early part, but rattled a bit too much taking the turns late in the zone.  Second attempt was cleaner, got into the 190s and stayed above the target before finishing.

Burning Rubber - Speed - A800 Hot Wheels - No problems with the 2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker (154 362 630).  Could probably use that for the Dirt championship as well, but I didn't have the tune on the car when I started that championship.

Trial - Street - B700 1970 Datsun 510 - Tuned 374 743 992.  Was not a good trial for me this week.  Car handles like crap, doesn't handle tight turns well.  AI likes to weave and there's a bit of traffic.  Came in 7th in the first race, 3rd in the second.  Tried retooling a bit for speed, did even worse.  Tried another run with the first tune before posting.  Finished 5th and 6th.  Glad to be done with it.

La Cruz Danger Sign - X999 Anything - 771 feet (3 stars is 650) - S2 works, so I used my 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Hit 911 feet doing a straight jump, leaving the cliff at 225 mph.  Hit 1,024 aiming to the left to take advantage of the hill, also leaving the cliff at 225.  Started the runs at the T intersection NE of the jump.  The bumpiness on the final approach may result in a very short jump registering.  I had 5 feet a few times.

Callejón Speed Trap - X999 Anything - 175 mph (3 stars is 160) - Used the Rimac again.  Started from the right bend west of the trap and hit 186.  Starting from the 4 way intersection a bit further west, hit 200.22.  Starting from the hairpin further back, hit 202.28.  Hit 189.45 starting from the intersection east of the trap.  Traffic can be a pain.

Carretera Speed Zone - X999 Anything - 180 mph (3 stars is 150) - Took me a number of tries with a number of different cars, but finally managed it with the stock 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition at 181.09.  Started on the road directly south of the weekly Danger Sign.  A number of engine upgrades, the V12 conversion, twin turbo and front bumper upgrades will bump the top speed sacrificing a little handling, but I topped 190 a few times.

The Ribbon Speed Zone - A800 Retro Hot Hatch - 150 mph (3 stars is 125) - Used the 2001 Acura Integra Type R (559 567 469).  Few different approaches worked.  Coming from the north, the left white branch starting where the other track passes underneath, hit 154.11.  Coming from the right branch, needed to start from the far end of the magnetic track.  Hit 168.86.  Coming from the east to run counter clockwise, hit 159.59 starting from the near end of the magnetic track.

Trial - Road - A800 2013 Toyota 86 or 2013 Subaru BRZ - Used the Subaru (878 969 866).  Got kicked after the first race on 2 attempts.  Had seen people complain about that, and from doing some looking around, it might be related to Quick Resume.  I had paused the game and gone to the dashboard to watch some TV, checking for updates while I was away, but didn't start any other games.  Maybe that was enough to trigger QR.  After the 2 kicks, I did quit out and restarted and was able to stay in a Trial.  Won both races, with team taking both.  Screwed with the AI in the first race, allowing teammates to move up, but didn't relinquish first.  In my kicked attempts, had finished the first race in 5th and 2nd.  My tune launches and accelerates well, but a tuned Toyota may have a better top speed.

Canyon Pass Speed Trap - B700 Classic Sports Cars - 125 mph - Hit 132.49 with the 1970 Porsche 914/6 (121 120 530).  Started a couple bends east of the trap, where the stream passes under the road (Catch Me if You Canyon Showcase).

Cliffside Speed Zone - B700 Classic Sports Cars - 105 mph - This is the tricky one this week.  Finally managed it with the 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (102 651 401), focused more on handling than speed.  Hit 106.38 going counter clockwise, starting from the end of the straight in the weekly drift zone.  The car handled the drift zone as well, but kept falling a couple mph short for the trap.

Precipice Drift Zone - B700 Classic Sports Cars - 60k - 92,581 with the Porsche.  Started from the intersection at the west end of the zone, topped 60k before the final straight.

Series 23, Summer (Wet) - Jul 20 - Jul 27

Forced story chapter to start the season.  Need to 3 star all chapters to 100% the series playlist.

Trial - Road - C600 Rods and Customs - Used the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air (904 393 350).  It's fast for the PI but brakes and turns like an ocean liner.  Only 1 other person showed up in a tuned car, another Bel Air.  I won both races with a fair amount of wall riding and screwing with the AI.  Got another person into second place in the first race, team finished 1 / 2 / 6 / 9 / 11 with one drop to eke out a win.  Second race, I got into first pretty quickly, then screwed with the AI to allow others to move up.  When 3 others got into 2-4, I pulled away.  Hard right at 30% mark could be trouble.  One person got close nearing the end, but I kept in front.  Team took top 4 and 10th.

And Now, The Classics - Street - D500 Classic Sports Cars - Used the 1973 Ford Capri RS3100 (940 680 016).  Had to run the 3rd race twice, but no problems with the first 2.

Treasure Hunt

Weird hunt this week.  I switched to the 1963 Volkswagen Beetle and got a couple Trading Paint skills outside the Street Scene Outpost.  Didn't register.  Went up onto the highway and the first AI car I encountered was another Beetle.  Trading paint with that triggered the chest.  Might've been 3 Trading Paints in a Bug.  Might work with another Beetle as well.

Chest location

On the peninsula south of the west end of the bridge.

Series 23, Autumn (Storm) - Jul 27 - Aug 3

A new hotfix was pushed out today to fix some issues with people losing save data.  I was working on the playlist when it was pushed but didn't know it, though I was blocked from checking the leaderboards.  After being unable to share a tune, I tried restarting the game.  Started up, but I was kicked to the fallback playlist, a base list for when you can't connect to the Forza servers.  Restarted the game again, fallback playlist again.  Thought it was a problem with my Xbox, so I did a hard shutdown and pulled the power for a while.  That's when I saw there was an update.  Odd the game didn't force an update when I tried restarting it.

Looks like today's daily won't be triggered by the 1981 Ford Fiesta.  I used the 2014 one, there's also a 2017 one that works.

Trial - Street - A800 1990s - Used the 1994 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta (112 697 536).  Finished 2nd and 3rd, team won both races.  A lot of traffic for this, particularly big stuff - pickups, vans and buses.  Drivatars liked to ram, too.  Be ready for the hard lefts at 40% and 37% of each race.  Hard left near the end of the first race cost me the win against another player, but hard right near the end of the 2nd allowed me to move from 4th to 3rd.  Team win should cover Tuesday's daily.

Sherwood Forest Raceway EventLab - B700 Modern Rally - 2 laps, about 1:40 per, no AI.  Some branching paths.

Mulegé Grand Prix - A800 Modern Sports Cars - 2 laps, about 1:45 per, no AI.

Gran Puente Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 260 mph (3 stars is 250) - Hit 261.73 with the rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Started from the 4 way intersection west of the trap.  That pretty much tops out that tune.  Tuning menu shows top speed of 260.8.  Would need going downhill or Hot Wheels boosters to go faster.  Little more leeway with the aero tuning (167 202 516), topping 271 but doesn't handle the turns leading up the hill as well. Starting from the XP board icon in the tunnel east of the trap, hit 261.72 with the regular rally, 272 with the aero.  2020 Koeniggsegg Jesko (957 293 364) did 268 coming from the west, 284 coming from the east.

Watersplash Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 100 mph (3 stars is 90) - This one sucked.  My PB was 100.68 with the Hoonigan RS200 Evolution, but couldn't manage it this week.  Finally got the target with 100.21 in a stock 2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition starting from the Gauntlet icon.  Following MjkJets at the top of the CAG leaderboard, tried tuning a 2016 Jeep Trailcat (254 887 453).  Managed 102.25 starting from the Gauntlet (though only a 101.31 posted because I lost access to the leaderboards).

Puerta Pétrea Trailblazer - S2 998 Anything - 28 seconds (3 stars is 25) - Hit 29.808 with the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164).  Started from the hairpin uphill from the start gate.

More than 10 scattered around the beach area in Playa Azul.  Northern limit appears to be the player house and southern limit appears to be the Playa Azul Circuit.  Generally one by each life guard station and 5 along the dotted dirt road that heads south from the player house.  Many others around the beach and the sand roads that connect to the beach.

Hot Wheels

Turbo Knot Drift Zone - S2 998 Anything - 210k (3 stars is 190k) - Just shy of 250k with the Hoonigan RS200.  Started from the triangle intersection north of the zone.

It's Snow Joke - Hazard - S1 900 Swedish - Not much to choose from for this, only manufacturers are Koenigsegg and Volvo.  I was able to upgrade one of the Volvos to S1, but I think it would've been giving up too much acceleration and speed to the Koenigseggs.  Only 2 Koenigseggs are stock S1, and I didn't check to see if any of the stock S2s could be downgraded.  Don't think drag tires would lower the PI that much.  The 2011 Agera was only available once in the playlist.  I have it, but went with the 2002 Koenigsegg CC8S (281 314 856).  Had no issues.

Series 23, Winter (Dry) - Aug 3 - Aug 10

Didn't notice until the last weekend, but a new set of 7 accolades was added to the Evolving World tab.  All need to be done in the Summer Party setup at the stadium, so presumably they're only available during this series.

Trial - Road - B700 Rare Classics - Used the 1968 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 (178 284 435).  One person was in the 1954 Mercedes-Benz SL Coupé and the other 4 were in the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS (1 not tuned).  First race settled in with the Benz in first, an AI and me in 3rd.  Didn't think I could catch the Benz, but slipped by the AI just before 60% and then the Benz tried to use the wall on the hard left at about 62% while I took it more cleanly and passed him.  Managed to stay in first for the rest of the race.  Team took top 4, 7th and 9th.  Second race settled into a Porsche, the Benz and me, so I played defense against the AI.  Nearly overtook the Benz at one point, and could've if I was more aggressive, but wanted to ensure we kept the top 3 for the team win.  Team finished 1-3, 6, 7 and 12.

Los Campos Drift Zone - S2 998 Anything - 150k (3 stars is 120k) - 164,071 with the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164).  Started from the 4 way intersection west of the zone.

  • El Lago Blanco (wet)

3, 2, 1... - Cross Country - A800 Unlimited Offroad - Used the 2016 Jeep Trailcat (123 906 930).  This one gave me all kinds of trouble, thanks to some of the Extreme E vehicles.  Tried the Trophy Truck a few times on the first race, but could never catch one of the Extreme E vehicles.  Switched to the Trailcat (after applying my 800 tune), and again didn't catch the Extreme E.  But on a retry, I managed to get in front after the opening downhill and was able to block it out, with some rewinds, to win.  Second race, I got ahead of 2 Extreme E's at the start of the second lap, and again blocked out to win.  Third race, it was a Brocky that stayed ahead, with an Extreme E passing me on the big jump at the end.  On the retry, managed to get ahead of an Extreme E after the big turn on the beach and block out for the rest of the way.  Shows my lack of knowledge and comfort with tuning, since I have an Extreme E that someone else tuned that would've probably done well, but there's a definite ceiling with just upgrades on those cars and you need to know how to tune.

Devil's Pass Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 95 mph (3 stars is 90) - Was a bit worried, since my PB was 93.6, and I think this was a weekly event in the past.  Managed 96.59 with the stock 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition.  Ran south to north, starting at the first bend south of the zone.  Ran again, hit 100.39.  Couldn't leave Mjkjjets (100.62) at the top of the CAG leaderboard, so kept at it and hit 102.78.  Managed 99.01 once going north to south and 96.5 another attempt, but it's tougher to recover from that hairpin close to the south end of the zone.

Trial - Dirt - A800 2010s - Used the 2018 Ford Mustang GT (163 310 707).  Probably not the best car to use, but also didn't have the best teammates.  A lot of ramming this week, from both AI and teammates.  Also started both races in 12th.  Finished 8th in the first race.  Was as high as 6th near the end, but didn't take a turn well trying to pass the AI in front of me and dropped a couple spots.  Team took top 4, so we won.  Second race, someone rammed me in a turn, I returned the favor, so they came back and rammed me again.  I tried to even things up, but just missed a checkpoint.  At that point I stopped and didn't finish.  Team took 5 of top 7 places to win.

Drag Strip Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 260 mph (3 stars is 205) - Hit 261.39 with the rally Rimac, which pretty much maxes out that tune on level, unboosted ground.  Started from the triangle intersection west of the trap.

La Marisma Trailblazer - S2 998 Anything - 25 seconds (3 stars is 20) - Not an easy one going through the swamp.  Managed 26.690 with the 2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo (119 662 635).  Not sure how I topped 32 seconds with it.  Barely squeaked by the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164) at 25.055.  Might be able to do better if I did some upgrading instead of using what I already had.

Details on the new update. Your garage will now hold 2000 cars.
I haven't watched the live stream from yesterday yet, but that's great news. I'll have a few months where I don't need to root through my garage to find stuff to get rid of so I can get the playlist rewards. Can also work on the accolades for buying from the autoshow, since I never did those before filling up my garage.

Latest update is out.  14.3 GB on console, 16.4 GB on PC.  But I get to download the full 130.04 GB on console for some reason.

Series 24, Summer (Wet) - Aug 17 - Aug 24

Trial - Road - A800 2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S - Tuned 518 926 324.  Finished 10th in the first race.  Missed the outer checkpoint flag at the hard right at the 40% mark.  It's more than a car width inside the wall, and I was taking the turn a bit wide.  Went from 2nd to last, got back up to 5th but weaving through the AI had me go wide on a turn and hit a tree, pushing me back to 10th.  Teammates finished top 3 and 11th.  Finished 2nd in the 2nd race, after trying to get ahead of the leading AI from 2nd, a teammate passed us both and I got ahead of the AI but not the teammate.  Winning should count for Sunday's daily.

Trial - Road - S1 900 Italian Super GT - Used the 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast (332 517 723).  Started back of the pack for both races.  A lot of bumping and weaving from the "teammates".  Got shoved into a wall in the snaking part at about 20% of the first race, putting me back around 8th, and decided I wouldn't be too kind when attempting to climb back.  Wasn't too reckless and managed to get back to 3rd by the end.  Second race, was worried about the hard right around the 25% mark.  Was in 3rd, lost a couple spots but was ahead of what I presume was a cluster behind me.  Got into first towards the end, fell to 2nd with the hard left around 80% or so but managed to sneak back into first before the finish.  Team won both races despite a couple players finishing 10th or below both races.

Trial - Dirt - A800 Italian Sports Utility - Used the 2019 Lamborghini Urus (274 175 891), as did everyone else in my run, teammates and AI.  Sloppy first and third races from the team.  I got into first midway through the first lap, with a teammate in 3rd and the rest of the team at the back.  That's where everyone finished.  Guess the snow at the top of the mountain made things too slippery for them.  Cleaner second race, team got into top 6 slots by the 20% mark, with me in 3rd after starting at the back.  Was able to sneak into second by the end, though I hit the guy in front of me a few times because he kept swerving.  Team finished top 5 and 8th.  I misjudged the first turn in the 3rd race, missed a checkpoint and fell from 2nd to last.  Climbed back a bit, then hit an unbreakable barrel going into a turn and fell back again.  Got up to 5th, and the teammate in 4th kept swerving to block me out.  I tried to be nice, but then another teammate came racing up.  I stayed in 5th with 4th and 6th swapping spots.  Team finished 3 through 6, 11th, with 1 person dropping that gave us the win.

Colina Danger Sign - S2 998 Italian Hypercars - 1,574.8 feet (3 stars is 1,550) - 1,641,6 with the 2016 Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 (461 804 794) tuned to S2.  Started from the Fuera del Camino Trail icon, went airborne at 219 mph.  Have an S1 tune that I was able to clear the Speed Trap below, but it wasn't fast enough to hit the jump target.  Kept making the jump around 180 mph and getting in the mid-1,400s.  Topped 1,500 with a rightward angle to take advantage of the hill.

Escarpment Speed Trap - S2 998 Italian Hypercars - 170 mph (3 stars is 165) - 186.69 with the S2 Centenario starting from the Hilltop Descent icon.  Managed 171.34 with an S1 tune (170 045 205).  Can double with tomorrow's daily

Polytunnels Drift Zone - S1 900 Italian Convertibles - 130k (3 stars is 120k) - Hit 160,550 with the 1980 Fiat 123 Sport Spider (374 455 233).  It's a C class tune and slides a bit on turning, but it was the only Italian Convertible I had already tuned.  Didn't realize it was also the weekly challenge car, the car is fast enough to hit 95 mph for the final chapter.

Country Run - Cross Country - C600 Lancia - No problems with the 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo (187 807 543).  Was funny on the Festival race where some of the lower profile cars were nearly submerged in the river near the end.  Almost got passed near the end of the Copper Canyon, but blocked out the AI.

Bulls on Parade - Road - S1 900 Lamborghini - Used the S1 Centenario from above.  Had to run the first race twice because I wasn't paying attention to the percentage and thought I had another set of turns to catch the leader.  Narrowly lost, but won pretty easily on the second attempt.  No problems with the middle race.  Took a few tries on the Oval Circuit because it's only 3 laps when it's 5 when racing in free roam.  Got close to the leader, but the race just wasn't long enough for me to catch him.  Finally took the turns tight enough that I was able to clip him on the inside on the final turn and get ahead.

Series 24, Spring (Hot) - Sep 7 - Sept 14

Trial - Road - S1 900 Italian Modern Supercars - Used the 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia (996 724 742).  Had to do it twice.  First attempt, 3 others were in the 458, but untuned.  Only one other person was in a tuned car.  I let the other tuned person pass me early on, we were in 2nd and 3rd, with the others in last.  2 dropped partway, then the tuned person dropped right near the end.  First race ended up with me in 2nd, other remaining person in last, so we lost.  They had dropped by the second race, so it was just me.  I came in 2nd, the one AI just couldn't be caught.  In the 3rd race, I got into 1st by the end of the 1st lap, but mistook which path to take in the dusk, had to rewind, which put me in last and I couldn't recover.  Should've glanced at the mini map.

Second attempt had 5 people.  I got into first pretty quickly, with the others near the back.  3 dropped.  I finished first and the other person 7th to win the first race.  Second race, I finished 2nd and the other person took 5th.

Playa Azul Midtown Update EventLab - S1 900 Italian Hypercars - 3 laps, under a minute per, no AI.

Hells Dock Circuit! EventLab - A800 Italian RWD - Point to point, about 3 minutes, no AI.  A little confusing, because you'll loop through the canister maze a couple times.

Desierto Viviente Speed Zone - S2 998 Italian - 100 mph (3 stars is 90) - Used a stock 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition.  Starting from the intersections past both ends of the zone, I hit 102.31 going south to north and a new PB of 104.35 going north to south.

Cordillera Speed Zone - S2 998 Italian - 120 mph (3 stars is 110) - Hit 126.82 with the Sesto FE.  Went east to west, starting from where the dirt road intersects the paved one around the large bend.  Tried from the intersection right by the zone, but didn't get enough speed built up.

Granjas Trailblazer - S2 998 Italian - 30 seconds (3 stars is 25) - 30.866 with the Sesto FE.  Gave myself a bit of a run up west of the start gate.  Got onto the paved road heading east, but when it took a turn to the left, I went straight for the finish, hoping to avoid trees.

Retro Style - Street - D500 1968 Abarth 595 Esseesse - Ended up using 178 852 205.  First tuning attempt couldn't catch the leader in the first race, so I tweaked a bit, swapping slick tires for semi slick for some PI leeway with engine components that bumped the top speed.  Won the first race on the next try.  Took 2 attempts at the second race, with more strategic drafting and better turns.  Won the 3rd race, though used some rewinds to take some of the tunnel turns better.

Nexus View Speed Trap - S2 998 Extreme Track Toys - 210 mph (3 stars is 140) - Retooled my 2010 Mosler MT900S with a rally suspension (309 070 429) after my prior tune kept scraping its undercarriage on the track and only managing 200.  Starting just before the split that branches off to the loop, I hit 227.54.  Starting from the other side of the big bend north of the trap, I managed 235.06.

EventLabs in the playlist now use the EventLab icon on the map to make them stand out.

Trial - Road - S1 900 Modern Supercars - Used the 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia (996 724 742).  Teammates were a bit bumpy this week.  Team took top 4 in the first race to win, with me coming in 3rd.  Second race, a lot of ramming teammates.  Enjoyed seeing someone that hit me miss a checkpoint just after.  I managed to get into 3rd with just AI ahead of me, but at that point they couldn't be caught.  Team finished 3-6, 9th and 12th to lose by 50 points.  Last race, I was the first person and managed to get ahead of the AI pretty quickly.  One person got close at one point, but I kept ahead.  Team took top 3 to win, with others at 6, 7 and 12.

When I ran the Trial, it didn't load anyone else's Gamertags for the first 2 races.  Only showed the people's levels and badges.  Others on the Forza forums reported the same issue, though it also showed the club name for the people in one.  It showed them properly for me in the 3rd race.  I ran the Trial again after finishing everything for the post and tags were loaded properly from the start.

Scinaty Part 1 - S2 998 Extreme Track Toys - 5 laps, can get under 20 seconds per, no AI.  You need to ride up the wall on the side of the oval opposite the start.

Horizon Mexico Rally [Short] - B700 Classic Rally / Retro Rally - Point to point, a little under 3.5 minutes, no AI.

Autopista Speed Trap - C600 1993 Nissan 240SX SE - 160 mph - Hit 163.97 with 114 466 576.  Started from the XP board at the east end of the interchange east of the trap.  Tried from the interchange south of the festival, but lost some speed approaching the trap because of going up an incline.

Estadio Speed Trap - C600 1993 Nissan 240SX SE - 130 mph - Hit 143.05.  Started from the XP board north of the trap.  Instead of taking the slight bend left before the Stadium Jump Danger Sign, I went over terrain so I'd have an easier right to make to get back on the road heading to the trap.

Calle Principal Speed Trap - C600 1993 Nissan 240SX SE - 150 mph - Hit 152.40.  Going east from the trap, started from the second bend (little east of the La Cruz Danger Sign).  Crested the hill before entering Guanajuato at 102.  Tried from the first bend east of the trap and only hit 144.

Series 25, Autumn (Storm) - Sep 21 - Sept 28

The Labcoat for today's daily is available in the Forzathon shop.

Trial - Street - B700 Nissan Skyline - Used the 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (100 719 455).  First race went well.  Despite starting at the back, got into third with a player and an AI ahead of me.  Another player got behind me, and I shoved the 2nd place AI to allow us both to pass.  Race ended with team taking top 4, 7th and 9th.  Second race did not go well for me.  Started at the front of the players, but trying to avoid AI I took the turn around the 10% mark wide and fell back to last and never really recovered.  Didn't help that I hit a tree near another bend trying to make up ground.  Team finished 3-6, 9th and me in 11th.  Still good enough for the team win.

Autodromo del Lago Trasimeno EventLab - B700 Anything - 3 laps, just under a minute per, 5 AI opponents.  Used the 1983 Audi Sport Quattro (137 185 266).

Event Horizon Danger Sign - B700 2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 - 754.6 feet - Hit 838.20 with 153 324 598.  Started back around the bend by the Caldera icon and hit the jump at 137 mph.  Tried all 3 with my C600 tune, but it wasn't fast enough.

Desert Dunes Danger Sign - B700 2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 - 721.88 feet - Hit 1,012.57.  Started from the 4 way dirt intersection southeast of the ramp.  Hit the ramp at 140 mph, went airborne at 130.

Runway Danger Sign - B700 2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 - 1,115,5 feet - Hit 1,288.64.  Started from the far end of the runway.  Hit the ramp at 175 mph, went airborne at 169.

Hyped Up - Road - S2 998 Hypercars - Used the rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630).  Didn't really have many problems, though needed to do some rewinds.  The non-rally (131 655 301) would've probably been better since it has better handling.

If you head north from the Apex Festival, turn left after crossing the bridge and head through the trees.  You should see the obstacle course.  I did it at night, so it was easy to see because it was all lit up.

Chest location

Entrance to the course is at the northeast corner.  Have to make one jump, then keep your wheels on a couple rails.  It's straight but with some ups and downs.  Slipped into the middle a couple times and got stuck, needing to fast travel out and start over.

Series 25, Winter (Dry) - Sep 28 - Oct 5

Builder's Outfit and Helmet for today's and tomorrow's dailies are in the Forzathon shop.

Trial - Road - A800 Classic Muscle / Modern Muscle - Went with the 2018 Ford Mustang GT (163 310 707), taking acceleration, handling and braking over speed (2015 Dodge Hellcat) because I know the first 2 races involve a lot of turns.  Started first race from 2nd player position, was in first by the end of the 2nd turn.  Player in a different Mustang (2018 RTR Spec 5) passed me at 31%, another player in a 1977 Trans Am at 57%, we finished top 3, with the others at the back of the pack (and one drop out).  Second race, I started from the first player slot and quickly got into first.  Let the other Mustang pass me about halfway through, the Trans Am couldn't catch me before the end.  Players took the top 4 to win it.

Village Rally EventLab - B700 Offroad - 2 laps, about 1:40 per, 5 AI opponents.  Used the 2014 Ford Ranger T6 Rally Raid (617 431 244).  Very narrow at spots, with a lot of object edges to get caught up on.  Expect to do some rewinding.  Around 2/3 through the lap, there's a small tunnel through a pyramid, maybe barely 2 cars widths across.  I got into first just before that on the first lap (thanks to a rewind) and I guess the AI started getting hung up, because I pulled farther and farther away.

ESV Green's Onyx Bridge Circuit EventLab - S1 900 Track Toys - 2 laps, about 1:30 per, 5 AI opponents.  Used the 2018 McLaren 600LT Coupé (124 424 183).  Had to run it twice, an AI in the Aston Martin Vantage couldn't be caught in the first attempt and still gave me trouble in the second.  The checkpoint flag pop in can be a bit distracting.  From my understanding, FH only renders the next 2 checkpoint flags in a race, and when you pass one, it draws in the next.  Not really a problem in most races, but the flags in this one are pretty close together in spots.

Reservoir Drift Zone - A800 2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A - 260k (3 stars is 240k) - Only had an S1 tune for this car, so I dropped it to stock and switched it to AWD.  First attempt, going west to east starting from the intersection past the end of the zone was a bit over 252k.  On the return trip, starting from the intersection, hit 268,387.  Going west to east again, hit 281,626.  The AWD swap only bumped it to 703 PI, so plenty of room to upgrade for speed or especially handling if you want.

Arbolada Drift Zone - A800 2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A - 130k (3 stars is 110k) - Starting from the intersections just past the ends of the zone, which doesn't allow for much room to build up some speed, I did 155,449 north to south (mostly downhill) and 149,915 south to north.

Hillside Drift Zone - A800 2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A - 140k (3 stars is 130k) - Starting from the intersection past the north end of the zone, I fell short with 138,393 running clockwise.  Starting from the bend past the end of the zone, I hit 145,888 on the return trip, then back with 146,548.

Going on Tour - Street - A800 GT / Super GT - No problem with the 2012 Jaguar XKR-S (734 360 314).  Got into second quickly and into first around 6%.  AI kept close through Guanajuato, but I pulled away once we got out of the city around 25%.  Some rubber banding around 60% or so, once we left the expressway.  Started seeing the AI behind me on the minimap, but they never got very close.

Hot Wheels

Hammer's Shadow Speed Trap - S1 900 2016 Audi R8 V10 Plus - 200 mph - Hit 210.74 with 139 016 355.  Fast traveled to the loop north of the trap, which put me at the far end of the loop from the trap.  Starting from the orange T intersection north of the trap and approaching on the magnetic track, got 215.19.  Little tricky keeping control on the corkscrew before turning slightly left to hit the trap.

Series 25, Spring (Hot) - Oct 5 - Oct 12

Live stream for the new series is tomorrow (Friday) at noon Eastern.

Trial - Street - A800 German - Used the 2008 BMW Z4 M Coupé (434 156 224).  Not the cleanest of Trials, particularly with the traffic.  Watch out if the Benz racing truck is in the field.  First attempt, 4 people dropped out in the first race, I came in 2nd with the other player in 5th.  Second race, I quit out when I missed a checkpoint and a rewind didn't give me enough room to make it.  Probably should have stuck around, since we still had the 3rd race.  Second attempt, no truck.  Team finished 1, 2 (me), 4, 6, 11, 12 to win.  Second race, one person dropped, team finished 1, 3, 5 (me), 9 and 11.  Tried to block out the AI on the bends near the end, one got by me and I nearly fell farther back.

  • Carretera Chase

Stadium Supercross EventLab - A800 Unlimited Offroad and Buggies - 2 laps, about 1:10 per, 5 AI opponents.  Used the 2014 Ford #11 Rockstar F-150 Trophy Truck (575 074 100).  Shoved the opponents around to get ahead, including plowing an Extreme E on the hairpin about 3/4 of the way through the second lap to finally get ahead for the win.

White Sands Full Circuit EventLab - S2 998 Extreme Track Toys - 2 laps, about 1:50 per, 5 AI opponents.  Used the 2010 Mosler MT900S (181 867 490).  AI was pretty aggressive.

Atlantes de Tula Road Circuit - A800 Retro Supercars - 2 laps, just under 2 minutes per, 5 AI opponents.  Used the 1994 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta (112 697 536).  No real problems, but the racing line appears to be off for most of the race.  Only noticed it on the final turn, so had to rewind to take some turns cleanly.

La Sílica Speed Zone - S1 900 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR - 120 mph - Hit 127.90 with 109 542 792.  Ran south to north, starting a couple bends before the start of the zone.  Tried north to south a few times, but couldn't quite recover from that turn before the south end of the zone, finishing 117 / 118.

Series 26, Summer (Wet) - Oct 12 - Oct 19

Trial - Road - B700 Volkswagen - Used the 2003 Volkswagen Golf R32 (149 860 237).  Pretty straightforward Trial, aside from some reckless teammates.  Started from the back in the first race, got up to 3rd behind a person and an AI.  Let a teammate pass me near the end of the second lap because they were weaving a bit too much for my liking.  Finished 1, 3, 4 (me), 10, 11 with one dropout.  Second race, started from second player spot, person ahead of me was the person I let pass me in the first race.  Got out of the way of one player who was pretty reckless, then let the previous race winner by.  Team took top 4 (me in 4th) and 10th.

3am Rush EventLab - D500 Cult Cars - 3 laps, about 1:15 per, no AI.  Seems to just be the regular Emerald Circuit with nighttime fog.

Scinaty Part 2 Highway EventLab - S2 998 Extreme Track Toys - 3 laps, about a minute per, no AI.  Be careful about going too fast in the half pipe sections or you'll fly off the track.

Heights of Mulegé Danger Sign - B700 Nissan - 400.3 feet - Hit 618.47 with the 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo (712 847 164).  Started from the expressway north of the sign, made the jump at 100 mph.  Finishing the jump should clear today's daily, though I'm not sure if it checked off for me right away because my house is the Casa Bella one near the sign.

Riviera Maya Speed Zone - B700 Nissan - 85 mph - 97.20 going west to east starting from the Donut Media Hi Team icon.  97.62 going east to west, starting from the paved 4 way intersection in southern Playa Azul.

Photo - Playlist just says "at" the arch, but the photo check says "under" and you need to be under.  Failed for me the first time because I wasn't actually under the arch.  Should also complete today's daily if you do this before the Danger Sign.
