DDR Ultramix 2 (2004) for Xbox
Another installment of the popular Dance Dance Revolution franchise - DDR Ultramix 2 is a sequel to 2003's Ultramix, also an Xbox exclusive. This game would be much more fun if it weren't for the Xbox controller. DDR was made to play on the PlayStation controller and no other controller. Xbox's controller makes the game hard to function and seem like a chore. You could use the Xbox dance pad, but home pads aren't as reliable as the arcade pads. The song selection is pretty much crap in DDR Ultramix 2, but what it lacks of it makes up for with exclusive songs that kick ass ("Jam On It" by Newcleus, "I'm In Heaven" by Jason Nevins, "Disco Break" by Art of Hot, "Fly Through the Night" by Mr. T, etc.). The song selection doesn't feel like DDR - it seems like they just mustered the latest, crappiest music together and made a game (after all, Konami of Hawaii developed this game - not the Konami of Japan we've all grown to love). You can buy packs of songs online to play on DDR Ultramix 2, but who want to do that?? Stick to the PlayStation versions and Arcade versions if you wanna experience true DDR greatness.
