YesAsia Summer Sale (up to 70% off games, toys..up to 85% on rest) HalfLife2 $20 + SH

Are there any games with English subtitles? Everything I seemed to see was pure Japanese, Chinese, or Korean. But then again I'm not very observant.

There were a few US versions in there, but the prices were high on the ones I saw.

Those are pretty bad prices. They also have bootleg DVDs. You can tell because some are really cheap and most of all, it says region free.

Most of the console games I saw were Asian. The only decent priced English stuff were PC games.

ordered a bunch of dvds from there plenty of times and i've never gotten a single bootleg before.

I think you might be looking at the VCDS. From what I've seen the dvds from japan are around $60, but the vcds are half that. And vcds are of course region free. They don't necessarily have to be bootlegs, the companies over there might distribute them like that.

Yeah, you're probably right. It's probably vcd's. Too lazy to check but I admit I didn't really look into it, sorry!
YesAsia doesn't carry bootlegs. They are 100% legit.

Bullshit. Seriously have you ever seen the Love Hina DVD's they've sold? Those have got to be boots for the sheer amount of content they have on them. Look at Japanese DVD prices for Anime and you'll understand.
The only reason I BOTHER with this site is that they seem to have some OOP K-Pop I can't seem to find anywhere else as well as some Korean PC games. Too bad I can't find the huge "Rhapsody Of Zephyr" and "Tempest" boxsets. :whistle2:(
Unless you're peeking on a few select things I suggest you don't support YesAsia besides most of those K-Pop cd's are the same ON SALE as Annyoung.com/ carries them regularly plus if you order more than $100 of stuff there they'll throw in a free cd for you.

Glad to see it for so cheap. Maybe now my friends will pick it up and play with me.

wow. very cool. please hook us up in the US with this, Namco. we need that cell phone strap craze badly right now.

Just to let any potential HL2 buyers know; I bought my copy of HL2 from them for $30 shipped when the game first came out. It's the English edition tha twas released in Asia so expect a larger box (you know, like the old boxes computer games used to come in)...but that's about the only difference.

I've ordered DDR and Beatmania games as well as some VCDs and DVDs from YesAsia before and they're 100% legit. Good customer service too; one of my items was kinda messed up when I got it thanks to the wonderful post office and they were very nice and replaced it for me when I called them.
Lmao @ the ones that say YesAsia sells bootlegs.

YesAsia's like the asian version of amazon, no bs on there.
not trying to be rude but you are largely misinformed. There are a lot of bootleg DVDs on yesasia. ive been browsing yesasia for a few years but have only ordered once... sometime last year or so... i ordered 3 DVDs and they had this offer for a free DVD. so i get that free DVD and if you just look at it, it's pretty easy to tell it's a bootleg. it's kind of hard to explain but there's a sort of "feel" to it.

just because a product has a pressed CD/DVD and a color cover and CD top doesn't mean it's a 100% real one.

Which culture movies did you order? If its Japanese, their DVD's are highly detailed. But if its Korean and Chinese, their packaging style is very plain and their printing quality isn't as top. So sometimes yes, they will confuse people as in their looks because C/J movies are usually just the case, the cover art and the disk, sometime it won't have a booklet/whatever inside the case.

Other regions have cheaper packaging... Doesn't mean its a bootleg. Yesasia is a reputable site.

Once in a blue moon, you will come across something bootleg on Yesasia, specifically animes with chinese subtitles (yup, could be coming from the same source as all those HK bootleg anime boxsets). I guess we can't blame them because they get inventory from various sources in Asia. Some good ones and some bad ones. But they are aware of this now, so you almost won't find anything bootleg on the site these days. Heck, they used to sell EZFlash carts for GBA!

Yeah, they are overpriced and stinky on shipping (puts your entire order on hold for as long as it takes 'til all preorder/backordered items comes in, unless you choose split shipping which is almost double the rate). American retailers such as Amazon or DDD would ship whatever item that's in stock first even if you chose Super Saver shipping. Yesasia has some pretty stinky chinese way of doing business if you look at the small details (no offense, I'm Chinese too).

But have you really bought anything from them that is bootlegged?

Those aren't pirated, just Korean. Often in the US, those are synonymous, but that's not necessarily always the case in the rest of the world. I don't think so, anyway.
Pirates (PC) is only $19.99 for the English version. EB charges that much for the strategy guide for the game.
it is part of the target clearance as well for half that.

of course i will wait for the xbox version, and wait for it to be cheap.

Unless something has changed in the last few days Pirates! for the pc is $49.99 at Target. The clearance price was only good for a few days and was applied inconsistently as many Targets had no actual price for the game in their system. I'm sure there are a few exceptions(some people reported stickered price cuts), but for most that deal is dead.

Yesasia looks to have the best price right now.
