free disgaea ebook

That's been on there for a looong while. DJ just got around to actually republishing this guide as the print version. The original had some missing/incorrect info in it, so the corrected version was released as this PDF...

Yeah, but Double Jump makes absolutely fabulous guides - guides that are, in fact, worth the money and helpful.

Their "Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne" guide is the best guide I have ever seen. I'm happy to pay a little extra to get that kind of quality.
 
cool! new to me as well. I just found out by looking at it that I was only 3 maps away from beating the game before I got sidetracked and put it down last year. I think i'll see if i can finish it, great game.

I disagree--the guide seems too disjointed for me. I would have liked a more complete Walkthrough section instead of a bunch of maps with size 4 font all around them. Plus, I much prefer to have the larger guides that I can leave open while I play--with this thing, I have to pause, put down the controller, find my spot in the book...lather, rinse, repeat.

Yes, walkthrough. Isn't that the point of a strategy guide? Nice attempt at the intelligence-insult-immediately-into-pre-pubescent-slang combo, by the way.
 
I did not like the SMT guide at first but now I realize I prefer this to a step by step instruction book. I only want guides to know the quickest route and still get all the items, and also boss strategies were essential to beat this game without some major frustration or dedication. The maps and level descriptions in the guide were perfect for this. I dont have that kind of patience to search every nook and cranny.
