so on my way back from school i stopped in a shop i regular, do to insanely low game prices, and i picked up

Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain - $2.50
Shaq-Fu (Genesis) - $0.50
MLB Triple Play 02 (ps2) - $0.50
NBA 2K3 (ps2) - $0.50

i know, not the most amazing finds outside of smackdown, but 4 games for 4 bucks is good in my book. all ps2 games were complete

Not bad. Makes me wish I knew of more indie stores to get prices like that. All I have is one, and it's 30 minutes away by car, and I have no license.

I once picked up Shaq-Fu complete for Genesis for 50 cents at an independent shop near me about five years ago, strictly for amusement purposes mind you. At this point, I still probably haven't played it enough to justify the full 50 cent investment, but it's nice to know this title is coming back in popularity. Maybe it'll actually be worth something some day.

well yes, but i cant promise condition or manual, as everything is behind glass doors (its a giaant cd/dvd/game store. also take in to account that these games are the cheapest of the cheap. they were fairly scratched up (not that i care but i know people do) they all play fine. if u bring scratched games to this store, they will give u next to nothing, and will sell it at just a little more than that.

stuff i noticed today was zelda collectors for 10, metroid prime for 5, toe jam and earl 2 for 5, ummm just monday i saw star fox adventures and resident evil gc for 5, but they was gone today, they have golden eye with manual for $2.50

this store is just amazing, but everyone knows they have great prices, so most things move fast

i played shaqfu for a good half hour, and its really not as bad as it gets credit for, the biggest problem i had is if you jump in a direction, you fly about 12 feet in that direction, other than that, it wasnt THAT bad...

lol ummm...wow, i dont want to alienate anyone here, but obviously i cants buy the same things for everyone...so PM me with offers and we'll go from there.

1 condition, no one gets angry about anything or ill call everything off, i dont want hurt feelings because of this.

yea punq if u could put up some prices from that store and pick em up for us (what v decide to buy), it b nice. i'd have no problem with paying a little xtra for gas money / ur trouble....key word though LITTLE. ;)

I will buy just about anything you pick up. Maybe we can work out a deal. Every week, I get about five dollars worth of complete games shipped (game + shipping + little extra = 5 bucks). I don't care how bad it is. You are speaking to someone who found enjoyment from E.T.

so, i went back to pick up some games for a cag, and what did i find? some sega saturn games that wernt there earlier in the day!

for $10 i got
galactic attack
virtua racing
shinobi legions
golden axe: the duel

double score XoD

the only games they had left for satrun were sports games, and some crappy acclaim game, i cant remember the name, but it came out on ps1 as well.

for sports they had madden 98, world sseries 98, i believe some nba game, and maybe a golf game? i dont really remember, but nothing worth mentioning lol

Even though it's old, World Series '98 is worth $2.50 if you like baseball games. For years, it was considered the best baseball game out.

yeah it is good, ive had it since it came out ^^
The two PS2 games for .50 cents is mad crazy.
yeah it was kinda suprising, usually they only 50 cent ps1, dreamcast, and stuff before (mostly sports, mario duckhunt, things like that)

the lowest ive seen ps2 stuff for was madden 02 and nba street, and they were a dollar, so i guess it shows just how old the ps2 is getting...
id pis myself if u could hook me up with ANY snes or psone game.
come to think of it, i dont think ive seen an snes game under $1...often the do have ps1 football games for 50 cents, if you could video tape said urination, this can be arranged

Man, you're lucky as hell to have this store...

I know this is old-news by now, but I just now read it. Congrats on all your excellent finds! :D

yea cool store i know where it is !! :) my friend used to live in pittsburgh and i was there in the store last summer and november its a nice store i got a lot of good deals there !!!!!! :D

You paid about 50 cents too much for Shaq Fu. It's not that bad, but the control is probably the worst I've ever seen in a fighting game. Nice finds though. Shaq Fu!

Nephets, that's a cool avatar and sig you got there. TD looks like he's in mourning after dropping their series to the Lakers. I feel his pain
:(

@pungsux: Those are some nice finds. Congrats!

There's a small chain of stores around here that have some pretty good prices on used stuff from time to time. Hardly ever any PS2 games under $5, though (although I have seen Fantavision and loose sports games for $2.50 in the past).

Gamecube and Xbox usually aren't any cheaper than $10 but $5 games do pop up sometimes.

They have SNES stuff and most is $5.00 and up. However, I have seen some good games at $2.50 and a couple at $1., although most of the time if you see a game for $1 it's a sports title. They do have 50 cent stuff but it's all sports titles.

And Genesis stuff is on the cheap. Other than Phantasy Star stuff ($20) most go from $1 - $5, and sports titles as low as a quarter.

Just this week I was in one of the stores, and found:

Zoocube (GC) $5
Smuggler's Run (PS2, GH) $5
R-Type III (SNES) $6
Robotrek (SNES) $6

And here's some other stuff I've found in the past:

Grand Theft Auto 2 (PSX, GH) $2.50
Earthbound (SNES) $4
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2) $5
Max Payne (PS2) $5
Actraiser (SNES) $6
Mr. Do! (SNES) $1 (This goes for around $25 on eBay... not gonna sell it, but makes it an even sweeter find :) )
Metroid Prime (GC) $10

And all the PSX, PS2, and GC were complete. A little scratched up (not a surprise being how cheap they were), but work fine.

So yeah, there are quite some sweet stores out there. :)

actully, one of my roomates and i play shaq fu pretty frequently. i totally got my 50 cents out of it ^^

but usually after we play a few rounds, we go right into some CvS2 or Marvel vs. X-men, to reminds us of the beauty of 2d fighters

Yeah, it also reminds you of the beauty of actual good games. Actually, I don't remember much of Shaq Fu, but I did rent it once, a very long time ago. All I remember was being amazed by the lady with the voodoo doll, which was a pretty creative idea.
