Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
The Original remains KING! As for the sequel = MEH :|

June 27, 2005 - With the loss of Bioware and adding Obsidian to the mix what could we expect? The highly anticipated sequel to the "Game of the Year", which resulted in a major let down in many areas. All is not lost, as the game still gives some entertainment value.

It's a good thing that Obsidian decided to adopt Bioware's game engine as much of the controls' interface remains the same with a few minor teaks. However, its a shame the map layouts in this game were designed by a drunken baffoon. Often times you find yourself, back tracking throughout the game going from one place to the place you explored before, with long sessions of loading time inbetween.

****My review is intended for those who have played the original*** (so i wont go further in explaining with great detail)

Bottom Line:
It plays like the original, expect the fun factor is less, the graphics are better, the glitches are worse, the Map layouts are crap, and the story is not as good.

Reader's Ratings for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (Xbox)
RatingDescriptionout of 10
Presentation 7.5
Obsidian decided to copy Bioware's work and change the story around. Which isnt an entirely bad thing, but it had no improvements.
Graphics 8.0
These arent graphics that are going get your pants wet. A slight improvement over the original.
Sound 8.5
No real soundtrack to the game besides the usually SW theme song here and there. The voice actors are good as usually.
Gameplay 7.5
The loading times in this game are so long and frequent that you can often get a session of masturbation in before the game loads. A man can only masturbate so much in a day.
Lasting Appeal 8.0
With a game with two endings the lasting appeal is always gets a high mark. But I have to ask myself is this game fun enough to play more the then once???OVERALL 7.9

I would have to give the lasting appeal a 3 for KotoR2 myself. I had to use the force to make myself finish the game because the story was written on a garbage bag.

I generally agree with this review. KOTOR II was pretty good but didn't take over my life for two weeks straight the way the original did.

Of course, one must remember that said garbage bag also had "Star Wars" plastered all over it, so it probably sold quite well as a result, regardless of the contents of said bag. I remember reading somewhere that if George Lucas stamped the Star Wars logo on a bag of poo people everywhere would stand in line to buy it. :D
