Finding New Car Rims

Hey, back again, thanks for coming out! I was coming home at around 9:45 tonight and found myself behind a truck and another car. In front of me was a black Ford F150 and in front of the truck was another vehicle. I couldn’t tell what type because the truck obstructed a majority of my view and lastly there were two motorcyclists to boot.

For a good half mile the person in front of the truck repeatedly would quickly slow down and slam on their breaks. Seeing this erratic driving I made it a point to get past both cars to avoid an accident. But…I was stuck in a position between the truck and motorcycles and could not get around the braking vehicle two cars up.

Eventually the motorcyclists backed off enough for me to pass. At the time I was not exceeding the 40 mph speed limit due to the two-asshat drivers in front of me. I checked my mirrors and when I looked forward again the truck in front of me slammed on their breaks. Noting that I was not going to stand a chance against such a huge Ford, I veered right. The car then pulled too much and I instinctively compensated by ripping the wheel to the left. In the ensuing seconds my car swayed nearly out of control to the left or right, slid off the main road, hit the curb, passed in between four cement three foot high cement blocks, slid as close as eight inches away from a 50 foot drop, and came to rest about 20 feet from a building after sliding sideways nearly 120 feet.

As things stand now three tires and their respective rims are shot dead while the axel on at least the right back wheel, is shattered. There were no other cars hit, no body damage, and only a jacked up undercarriage on my car. I'm going to estimate the total cost to be in the $1,500-$3,000 range...which sucks. Hopefully insurance will tack up a point for democracy and help out a bit. Lastly, a trucker who saw the whole thing pulled over, offered help and commented on the condition of the car, by dropping this quote, "Shitty situation man, but that was some crazyass driving, way to live/drive through that!" ...I was just like, “Yeah I put in a few hours with Project Gotham 2.”

fuck. Sorry to hear that. Heres hoping your insurance will help you without screwing you over to much on your monthly.
Sorry about the repairs, but that sounds like some pretty dope driving.
Well Fez, ryan's a pretty dope person.
don't drive :)
He may be on to something here, doesn't look like you're able to handle it.

some how, I get the feeling that insurance is going to try as hard as possible to fuck you over and make you pay everything, and then raise your monthly payments to rub it in

Insurance comes through in the clutch to pick up $4000 out of $4500. Key word is to not jack up another car. Main thing is that I have about $130 allocated to each rim. Anyone know of a place to find decent 17" rims at a reasonable price?

Maybe if you ever followed through with all those games you wanted to buy I could afford rims that size. Until then I don't think it'll work out.

They have wheels and tires and they can mount them before they ship em, so by the time you receive em, they're ready to bolt on. Skip the middleman, but it is a good idea getting a 4 wheel alignment afterwards especially after the trauma your vehicle has been through.
