Ok this was grabbed from Nphiles:

Hey all, just wanted to inform you of some exciting homebrew stuff:

SnesDS:
As you probably figured this is a super nintendo emulator for the DS. This deserves a major woot woot, cause it plays games full speed with sound! Compatability is a little slim as of now, but its still in an early state.
Get it Here!

DsHeretic:
A port of the classic fps Heretic. I couldn't get this one to work with my setup, but I hear its pretty cool. Try for yourself

HexenDS
I really like this one. As you probably guessed, its hexen ported to the DS. I was suprised when I booted this one up cause v 0.1 played at nearly full speed with sound, and had MP hunters-style touch controls. I highly recomend this. Unfortunately you have to provide your own wad from the full version of the game.

Well, there you have it. All of the above are in early stages of developement and I look foward to seeing them progress. The downside of all this is that a GBA flashcard and a passme/wifime/flashme are required to play. If you've got the equipment give it a go and post your impressions in this thread.

I tempted to get a supported wireless nic to give this a shot. I love homebrew stuff and am excited at what the DS is capable of. The SNES emulator is an amazing step in the right direction. Wouldn't mind busting out my old copies of Hexen and Heretic and have some portable FPS action going on. :)

Thanks for the news!

I am still in the dark on exactly what is needed for what. I am hoping within 4 months or so it will become pretty clear once wireless gets up and running.

There are all sorts fo flashcarts available and I havent found anywhere that really explains it all.

As I understand it, you need the right wireless card on your computer to be able to transmit to the DS with their speical driver. You send over a program that allows the DS to read DS info from a GBA flash cart rather than the DS slot. No money prohibits me from trying it out right now, maybe soon. :) This would of course be totally separate from Nintendo's online service.
