CAGiversary!
so Becky killed my account over the summer, we broke up, makes sense right? Microsoft will not revive it. nowhere in Richmond sells just a 3 month subscription card. not finding any in Louisville either. according to a Micro-tech most 2 month cards expired on June 31st and you can no longer reactivate them. I already have a headset so a starter kit would be a waste and I'm done in December so a 12 month would also be a waste.

what I'm saying is that I am effectively cut off from playing Halo 2 since microsoft wont let me start an account without some kind of card. makes sense right? I mean wouldnt want to take money from someone willing to give it to you. that'd just be stupid.
have you ever thought of maybe getting a debit card or something?
yea, you just need like 50 bucks to start up a free checking account. Oh I get it, they don't have banks in eastern Kentucky. Am I right?

I do have a debit card. I had it out, ready to go, and started up my xbox. I even spent half an hour on the phone with various XboxLive people. for some reason you just cant start an account. you have to have a card. either a 12 month, a starter kit card, or a free trial. no other ways to start an account. and I did try an expired one. it wouldnt take it and when I called in to get it reactivated they said that that promotion is no longer going so they wouldnt do it.

There's like 539 people on this site that have assloads 2-months cards, I'm sure you'd be able to find someone to give you one. Then just renew it from there.

While I was reading the OP, I wondered why Girion just couldn't use a 2 month card. I'm glad to see at least one other person was smart enough to point that out.

yeah and I posted in the official request thread. but also read that part where I posted that the guy that works at Microsoft made it seem like I'd be hard pressed to find an active 2 month card.

I tell you what. If you have a local GameCrazy, go to their used titles wall and open a ton of the Xbox cases, as they aren't sealed. You'll be surprised at how many trial cards you'll find.

Gamestops work well also.

It's not unusual to be loved by anyone
It's not unusual to have fun with anyone
but when I see you hanging about with anyone
It's not unusual to see me cry,
oh I wanna' die
It's not unusual to go out at any time
but when I see you out and about it's such a crime

Girion
Lord of Dale at the time of Smaug's attack. During Girion's reign, Dale was a merry and prosperous town. The Men of Dale made wonderful toys and they did business with the Dwarves of the Lonely Mountain under King Thror. Girion had a magnificent necklace of five hundred emeralds which he traded with the Dwarves for a coat of silver mail for his eldest son.

In 2770, Smaug the Dragon descended upon the Lonely Mountain without warning. The town of Dale was destroyed and many of its treasures were taken by Smaug as part of his hoard. Girion was slain but his wife and child escaped down the River Running to Lake-town.

It was one of Girion's descendants, Bard the Bowman, who finally slew Smaug in 2941. Bard rebuilt Dale and became King. The Emeralds of Girion were recovered from Smaug's hoard and Bard gave them to King Thranduil of Mirkwood.
