crazy for ipods

I think you should get the 15gig one with student discount (if you are a student) for 260. I am going to get this one. Ipods are the best.

The thing is incredible. I literally use it for more than 25 hours a week. It 's practically replaced the cd player in my car (i use the tape player adapter to replace it) and my stereo at home. I wouldn't even consider an different brand if mine would need replacing. The size, durability, and ease of use make it better than any other mp3 player on the market.

The iPod is awesome. What really annoys me is how Creative and whatever try to boast their stupid media players as being better than iPod, with the major difference being they can't support AAC (MP4) at all. It's pretty funny how they don't think its a big deal.

If you're looking for 5 gig, get the 4 gig ipod mini.

I am madly in love with my ipod. It's 20 GB, and I've had no problems with it. Along with some cheapass mp3 sites, I've amassed quite a collection of great songs. There are some other features on ipod too (simple games, calendar, address book, etc.), but I haven't used them, so I can't say whether they're that great. I heard the games run the battery down quicker though. The battery is my only complaint. It lasts 8 hours, if you just let it play and don't mess with the controls. However, when I organize my music between my computer and my ipod, it only takes a couple of hours to run down the battery, because the hard drive spins a lot more. Using the backlighting also will kill your battery faster. But if you buy a cigarette lighter adaptor, you won't have to worry about it dying while your driving. You can also buy an additional power source that runs off AA batteries. Either one of these will run you about $50 a piece. Actually, that's my 2nd complaint: if you want any accessories, you'll pay out the nose for it. But ipod is still worth it, just be sure to put it in your charger before you go to bed at night.

I bought mine off of apple's official site. Shipping was free, and they'll engrave it for free (I put my name on mine). You can get the educational discount on the site too, which paid for my tax. My ipod ended up costing me about $396 total.

I got an 15 gb ipod for my sister using my student discount, it cam to like 294 after tax from apple.com & shipping was free.

I am going 2 get one in the next few days and I am going to get the Black Skin for it casue it looks kickass! I am still debating between a 15 and 20 though. Is the remote that comes w/ the 20 any good? anyone actually ever use it? I am thinkin of getting the 20 then sellin the case and remote on ebay and keepin the dock. Any suggestions or places I can get a dock for cheap so I can just get the 15 and buy the dock seperate?

I use the controller to skip songs while it's attached to my car adapter. It's easier to use when changing songs while driving.
