You know, the "laddie" mag? You'd expect mostly stuff like Madden, some fighting games, and movie licensed crap like the Fantastic 4.

However, they had a 1/3 page item on We Love Katamari and gave it either 4/5 or 5/5 stars last month (I forget which). And then the most recent issue had Shadow of the Colossus as game of the month with 5/5 stars.

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.

Blender has reviews also, usually two months or so before the freakin' game even comes out (They've already reviewed Jaws and Marc Echo's Getting Up).. they gave Shadow of Colossus two stars.. and you can tell in the review all the person did was look up a preview and see some screenshots, it's embarassing for Blender.

I'm not so sure you are reading Maxim... my magazine has pictures of hot chicks, not young boys.
Well, if I remember correctly Maxim also gave backyard wrestling a 4/5.
They also gave Sudeki a 5/5...

But maybe they finally realized that they were playing shitty games?

why would you trust Stuff/Maxim/Blender's reviews anyway? They give crappy games high scores all the time. It's for casual people who don't mind crappy games. I've known a few casual gamers that loved simpsons road rage (yes NOT hit and run).
What did they give JAWS?
4/5

Libe Goad, co-founder of Gamegal.com and former editor of HappyPuppy.com writes the reviews for them.

I never give any credence to their reviews. They're shallow and skewed toward mainstream tastes. The best example I've seen lately is the Stacked ads with a preview byte from Maxim calling it "Halo with chips!"
