I dont know if this has been posted already. if it has than lock it up with key and throw it away. I just stopped by a Blockbuster in Roxbury,NJ and picked up a couple ps1 games for 1.99
i got

2x RE 2 non GH
1x test drive 6
1x metal gear solid gh
1x crash team racong

the employee said that they marked them down last night. so im just spreading the word. i dont if its all BBs but it probably is because of their previous markdowns. have fun and good hunting

I should have jumped on Castlevania SOTN while it was still $4.99.... Hopefully I'll be able to find it at this price though. That would be great!
 
I just got back - it's a go. All the PS1 games were tagged $1.99 and I got MGS x2, RE 2 x1, Ms. Pac Man x1, and Tenchu x1. Thanks a ton for the heads up OP! ^_^
 
both of the Blockbuster's I went to didn't have anything worth mentioning. either they got cleaned out recently, or their PS1 stock slowly was bought up during the $6.99 markdown sale. both of the stores I went to had a good amount of stuff for a pretty long while. I was hoping to get a copy of Final Fantasy Tactics

the two REs werent Ghs but the others were. here are some of the ones i remember form the roxbury one. i will hit some up around my area tommorow and hitting some up in Boston this weekend. here are some i remember from the Roxbury NJ BB.

are they MARKED as 1.99 b/c i went there and they were marked 4.99...didnt want them, but was just wondering if they actually tagged them down to 1.99 or if it was just in the system
 
i would pick up some games but last time i checked my blockbuster, all their psone games had cracked cases and look pretty busted up

i guess $1.99 is still worth it but damn they should take better care of their games

You saw it for $4.99??? The last time I saw Castlevania SOTN it was at $9.99 and I'm still kicking myself for not getting it. And that was only one copy at one Blockbuster.

If anyone finds it for $1.99, they should buy up every copy and sell them to the CAGs here. I'd pay $10 for it. Someone could make a nice profit.
 
I believe this is an extension of an earlier BB/GR clearance of PS1 games. A few months ago, they were all reduced to $4.99, then B1G1 on top of that...so basically every new PS1 game was selling for $2.50.

I know all the stores around me were cleared out during the earlier clearance. Unless anyone has seen new stock coming in?

Agreed..I would pay 10 for it too.
 
I haven't stepped into a BB in years, and decided to basically boycott them after reading those trade-in credit cancellation stories, but I believe I'll take a stroll and steal/buy some cheap PS1 games.

Checked two stores today. No Castlevania: SOTN. I did pick up Tenchu and Atari Anniversary Collection for $1.99 each. Also found Diddy Kong Racing for N64 for $0.99.

I'm going to check two more sometime in the next day or so.

I'll swing by probably tommorow (only a small bike ride away). It's an excuse for me to get some excercise. If I can get a Castlvania SotN GH I wouldn't mind trading it for a Metal Gear Solid possibly.

had some James Bond 007: World is Not Enough (if any body interested?)

Found 1 used SOTN... It already spoken for...

By the way, BBV has been giving away coupons for some class action lawsuit settlement recently. They print out at the end of a transaction. One of the coupons is a "$1 off rental/non-food purchase". I got all those games for $1.04 ac.

all my blockbusters games are marked at 4.99 - you think theyll ring up at 1.99? They had MGS1 and Silent Hill 1 and some megamans i would def pickup if so...

Well I went back and got :

Dragonball Z Ultimate Battle 22 (marked at 6.99, rang up at 1.99)
Mega Man 8 (marked at 14.99, rang up at 1.99)

So I think it might be all NEW PSX games that ring up at 1.99!

However, I bought Metal Gear: Solid when it was 4.99, do you think I can go back and price-adjust it to 1.99? I hope someone can help me with this or is this YMMV on the price adjustment?
 
Not that lucky. I ruined my gitaroo man slip due to the rain today.Now it's all wrinkle and soggy.Plus my back and feet aches carry all the game i got from ebdeals and penny guides from queen and manhatten.
 
Went out and got Metal Gear Solid 1, Mega man Legends, Mega Man 8, and Silent Hill all for 1.99.
They were marked at 4.99. I'm heading out to a bunch of BB's now =]
