[Off Topic] Thief: Deadly Shadows bug reported

It seems like it will only be a problem for the xbox version, since it can be easily patched on the pc. Wasn't planning on picking this game up anyways.

When I rented last weekend I also noticed the sound would occasionally drop out, but it could have just been the TV or something.

I was gonna buy it, but now I may hold off on it to see if they release a bug free version. Doubtfull they will though.

But you can get updates via xbox live.

Probably not, gamespots article said something along the lines that Theif doesn't support XBL, and Microsoft doesn't usually offer autoupdates to games that do not support its online service. Oh well, the bug probably wouldn't effect me too much as I tend to play games once on the regular difficulty setting then never touch them again, never bothering to play them on the hardest difficulty setting which is what the bug effects. Unless I really like the game that is.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAH

Anyway, don't worry. I am tired of trying to help people not buy crappy games such as this.

I knew this game would suck since Invisible War, but my rampage against IS is over for now. Maybe when a new batch of dumbed down, buggy games comes out I will get fired up again.

It got about a 80% (Xbox) to 84% (PC) average score... so not bad.... just the AI is a bit of a mongoloid when the game is loaded from a save.
Is this game supposed to be any good, though? I've heard a few good things about it, but haven't had a chance to play it.
It is alright, but just a mere shadow of it's former self.

As far as review scores go - just look at DX:Invisible War that got great reviews even though the game was beyond buggy, 5 hours long and practically unplayable on all but the best high end pc's.

After DX:IW I don't trust review scores anymore, and I never will again. Read the review and ignore the scores!!!

I know wht u mean....

Wow...I don't see how they are gonna release the patch on Xbox Live and expect to resolve all the cases, but at least they are trying. They should just do like EA did for Madden 2004.

Eidos OWNS Ion Storm, and although they deny it I believe that had a big say in the dumbing down of both series.
