I live in Lancaster County/York area. No deals around here at the moment. Lancaster's TRU is pretty picked over, though they did have a few hidden games. I was just at Target in York 2 days ago, nothing in the game section. But I did pick up a Magnavox DVD/VCR combo for $27.00.

Thats an awesome deal on that dvd/vcr combo ... and it just so happens I've been in the market for one. I wonder if the Target in Harrisburg has that .. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully this isnt a ymmv thing.

The Kmart at Rt. 30 and Prospect Road in Lancaster county has 12 PS LCD screens..........marked at $26.00!!!

I live in Middletown (in Dauphin county), but used to live in Schuylkill...

Can't think of many deals or anything around here as of right now..
hehehe my sister lives in Pine Grove, as well as my wife's cousin.. :)
I prob know them as the town only has like 2,500 people in it.

Did anyone score in the KBToys clearence? I got some good titles at the Park City location. They still had plenty of titles to choose from.

There are a few things left at the Colonial Park location. I was lucky enough to find a sealed Majora's Mask for .50 cents!

I work there doing freight at night and got lucky with getting Legacy of Kain and Deus Ex for a $1 since I put them back to buy before and then they dropped in price.

I posted this in the Northeast 360 Kiosk Locations thread but if anyone's interested the Best Buy in Harrisburg on Rt 22 has a playable 360 in the video game section. I was able to play Call of Duty. Also available to be played was PGR3 and King Kong.

Target in York has a few clearence games.

Zoo Keeper (DS) $9.98
Sprung (DS) $9.98
Need For Speed:Underground (PS2) $13.98
Tekken 4 (PS2) $13.98
World Tour Soccer (PSP) $19.98
Dead To Rights (PSP) $19.98
MLB (PSP) $19.98

Just wanted to let everyone know that the KB Toys at the Colonial Park Mall in Harrisburg is having a buy 1 get 1 free sale. And the games that are there are at good prices. I bought Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for $12 (and got Freedom Fighters for free).

Heh, I didn't think anyone went to the Lebanon Valley Mall. I found some great PS1 gems at EBgames last year (Suikoden 2, Tales of Destiny 2, Valkyrie Profile).

The KB at the Capital City Mall is also doing B1G1F, but the selection is very weak. They either had very little to begin with, or they were nearly picked clean.

The people in the Enola KMart are so unhelpful, it makes me want to cry.

Also, I have yet to pull a fast one by the dudes in the Camp Hill Toys 'R' Us. Those guys are so freaking alert that I have to wonder why they've been working at Toys 'R' Us for as long as I've lived here. Surely there's better opportunities for them.

There is a beastly red-head at the Harrisburg Circuit City who seems to take joy in shooting down my illicit pricematches. Someday I will defeat her with the ultimate pricematch, and then a unicorn shall spring from her remains.

Finally, I would like to make sweet, sweet love to the Asian girl working the Customer Service desk at the Carlisle Pike Circuit City.

The Lancaster TRU's is loaded with games in a bin. Yesterday they were not in a bin. I got Pikmin2, Sims:Bustn Out, World Champ Poker, Winning Eleven, Resident Evil 4 and Killzone. Not bad, alot of games I wanted!!!

I live in carbon county but go to school at bloomsburg university (anyone else go here, would be cool to meet up with a fellow cag or even trade some games sometime?). Anywho I go shopping at hazleton which is about 30 mins away from bloomsburg which is in luzerne county. Don't bother going to hazleton for video game deals if you are in the area. Hazleton has none (we have a GS, EB and Gamecrazy, each with well no good games really). If you are looking for rare games, don't even bother because you will only find one or two if you are lucky. For example I was looking for call of cthulhu for the x-box but GS only had a new copy for $40, and chances are it is the last copy. I also took the last new copy of FFIV Advance two weeks ago at GS. Yeah and well I got lucky to even find FFIV Advance in my area. So don't go to hazleton without calling to see if a game is instock.

Bloomsburg is my alma matter. I graduated from there in 2002. Best years of my life. Glenn Ave .... woooooo!!

Hehehe I'm from up in Scranton, but have invaded Bloomsburg Area before to grab some penny guides and what not.

I went to the Columbia Mall a couple months back and they had 15 copies of the Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eater guide IN STOCK.

Needless to say, I walked out hefting a large bag. I looked like Santa walking out with those guides.

No doubt. Nobody shops at that mall. I should know .. I used to work at the Schuylkill Valley Sports store there ;)

I've also been to the Colonial Park Mall, which has some weird karate studio right near the one side entrance. I was shocked once I got inside there to find all the stores actually IN the mall there.

I think I've hit it 2-3 times in the last 5-6 months, each time for a couple penny guides only though.

Most times I'm down at an auto auction nearer there(PADE in Strinestown) and just take a short jaunt up 83 to the mall.

I always hear that about the Columbia Mall. I went to it for the first time in years when they had that clearance at KBToys last October. I also got some penny guides at that EBgames during that visit to that ghost town of a mall. Afew newer ones at the time and afew older ones also.

Dam IAmTheCheapestGamer 15 copies of the same guide lol I picked up 1 or two copies of about 10 different guides and the guy was really cool about it. I was gonna give him my Street Fighter Anniverary guide since he said he would like it but he checked on the computer and they had 2 so he snaged the 2nd one. I wonder if they still have some penny stuff around at that store or if they have gotten better at pulling them. I'm guessing that maybe they have gotten better if all you found was MGS3 guides and if they were being lazy they probably tightened up after having someone walk out with 15 copies of the same guide if GameStop didn't start cracking the whip on them before that :p

i checked the sears in colonial park. The only thing worth mentioning was trace memory (DS) - 15
custom robo (GC) - 9.99

i didnt buy anything

LOL FOne, I don't think they had anything of real worth there. And well, once I brought up one copy of the MGS 3 guide, the guy asked if there were any others. I said yeah, about 14.

He then told me that they'll just 'end up throwing them out', so I snagged them all so they didn't end up in the dumpster.

And, the last time I headed out that way, they had NOTHING in the way of guides even OUT anymore.

I've been seeing that from ALOT of EB/GS stores lately though, as I think it must be then when they sift through to see if there are any pennied guides to 'field destroy'.

EDIT: Of course, those stores whose guide sections completely disappeared usually disappeared after I came in and snagged about 4-6 guides in one trip. LOL So, maybe my local EB/GS stores have been given a heads up about the guides due to me.

It's happened at at least 3-5 stores I've been to in the last 6 months.

It sounds like the guy that helped you at the Columbia Mall may have been the guy that was working when I was in last October. They had a spinning rack by the register and the rest of the guides piled up under the games towards the back right corner when I was in. That EBgames is so small though my closet is bigger :D I could see them putting the guides in the back because the store is so small not just to weed out any penny guides.

I agree I also think alot of stores get wise to the penny guides if someone comes in and buys afew/abunch. I got a huge box full at the Lycoming Mall last January as when I stopped by the guy working was filling it up and I asked if I could have them just for the hell of it and he was cool about it and let me take everything since it was headed to the garbage anyways but I'm guessing that he was told afterwards that that's a big no-no as they became very good at pulling them afterwards. No more missing afew as they seemed to do before then. The only guide I've gotten at the Lycoming Mall since then was an Advance Wars DS guide that magically showed back up about a month+ after it was pulled. I don't even bother checking to see if they didn't pull the guides yet at this EBgames when a new penny guide list is shared on CAG.

I found a Wrestlemania 21 guide at the Toys R Us near the Lycoming Mall about 3 weeks or so ago.

But, in typical TRU fashion, they said they 'cant sell me it' and out I walked empty handed.

Did you see they're building a Best Buy up near the entrance to the mall out there?

You can tell it's going to be a BB just by the shape of the building and the color of the cinderblocks they were using on it. LOL

i got one of mine during the TOYS R US bundle with the 2 brain games

Walmart.com is offering a heavy duty case, with brain age, and a bunch of accessories for 150.

I remember seeing that Wrestlemania 21 Guide and reading about you trying to get it. You should have left it as it was stuck so good that it was probably going towards setting a record for longest time left in a store aftering being pennied out :)

I was at the mall afew days ago, that Best Buy is really coming along looks like it's pretty much done at least on the the outside with the Best Buy signs up and everything. I'm actually thinking I might pass on the penny guides at this store until they have a good drop as I'd hate to have them get wise on penny guides because I went to get afew guides I didn't really want and only bothered with because they were a penny just to have them learn from that and pull guides later on when they actually have some guide I have a stronger interest in.

You mean like I did tonight with a copy of Metal Gear Acid 2's guide in Whitehall(down near Allentown).

My one friend wanted to thank me for picking up some stuff she ordered from Things Remembered and bringing it down her way, so we went for a trip to A-town area today.

They had 2 or so copies of the DOA 4 guide at the Best Buy there and 2 copies of MGA 2's guide. I had one PC'd because I didn't remember if it was pennied or not. The clerk who pc'd it said she 'had to take it in the back because they had to send it back'.

Anyways, had I remembered how good a trade value Total Overdose for PS2 gets at GR/Blockbuster, I'd have grabbed the 4 copies from the CC there today.

Other than that, a pretty uneventful trip, but we did find a whole shitton of clearance games at the Kmart there on Macarthur Road in Whitehall.

But sadly, most had no price in the system already and the clerk on duty looked like he didn't want to be there and didn't want to budge on the prices marked on the games.
i got an X box 360 premium package with an extra wireless controller for 300 at CD warehouse last night :)
Which one?

If anyone is looking for $3.99/$4.99/$5.99 dvds in Harrisburg, I recommend you go to Best Buy and skip Circuit City entirely. The only thing I could find at CC was the Hulk 2 disc edition everything else was gone (or hidden).

I've never been to a CD Warehouse but I just heard on the X this morning that there's gonna be a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale this Fri, Sat, and Sun (8/4 - 8/6). The sale is good on dvds, cds, and video games. So you guys might wanna check that out.

i think im gonna go check out that sale tomorrow....ive never been to a cd warehouse either but from it sounds like that have a large selection of cheap used stuff so the 35 mile drive each way should be worth it.

I was by Bloomsburg today. Stopped by the Gamestop in the Buckhorn Plaza (sp?) They had 2 Partners In Time guides in front of the registers today after I left I grabbed one Fire Emblem (POR) & one Partners In Time guide so they should still have the two Partners In Time guides left assuming that the workers didn't check for anymore copies after I left which I'm thinking they may not have since they were fairly busy.
