There's a pretty good mom & pop video shop in Springfield that has a lot of older games and systems. It's a pretty good store for looking for used games and their prices aren't bad. I know I've bought several Sega Master System, Sega CD, Atari 2600, and Saturn games from there. They also have games for newer systems. It's pretty close to Wittenberg's campus, but I can't remember the name of it right now. You should check it out sometime if you are ever over that way and are interested in older games.

I know if you go east on 41 after getting off of 68, it's where the road dead ends by the cemetery. I can't seem to find it in Yellow Pages so I hope the store is still there. I haven't been there in about 2 years.

That EB on Hoke road I have the number and address just let me find my receipt. It's right across the street from my work. Good job on the complete List.

Some of the prices are good, and some of them are just plain asinine. I got Gunstar Heroes from there for $3, but they want 19.99 for Super Mario World. It's a crap shoot for the most part. YOU GUYS KEEP OFF MY TURFF!!! ;)

Yeah, the high profile stuff is generally more expensive there, but if you know what to look for you can find some good stuff. What's the name of that store anyway?

Oh, I should mention that I bought a possible bootlegged DVD of The Bourne Identity from Video Outlet. I didn't notice until I got home that something was weird. The case was the actual case, but the DVD was region free. It was rather strange, but it worked fine. Something to possibly keep in mind if you are buying used DVDs from there. It could have just been a random trade-in or something, though.

Depending on who's working there you can pretty much trade in anything. I bought a copy of Contra 3 there, took it home,a nd it turned out someone had swapped out the ROM with a Tecmo football game. On the other hand, I did buy a boxed w/ manual Chrono Trigger for $35, so it's worth ti to stop in every now and again.

You work at Wal-Mart? My girlfriend just left there.

Video Outlet. The old guy who works there (his name is Bill) is a hell of a nice guy and the best person to offer some trades to.
Every time I've been in there, usually in the late evening, there's a younger girl working there.

Are there other Video Outlet stores in the area? The only one I know of is in Fairborn.

They own two stores, I believe. One in Fairborn and one in Springfield. They usually ship items between the two.

Anyone in the area owes it to themselves to stop into Vacs n Videos on Brandt Pike in Huber Heights. They have a large selection of games, hardware, and accessories going all the way back to the Collecovision. I especially enjoy their harder-to-find stuff like Saturn, 3DO, and Sega CD games. In the back of the store, just before you get to the vacuum section, there's a glass case with all their "rare" games. The owner is a nice guy who knows his stuff pretty well and is willing to deal with you to an extent.

The Game Haven is another cool independent game store. They recently moved into the Airway shopping center which gave them more room to display all their wares. They have a TV setup with just about every console so you can test out games in the store. They even let me just hang out and play for a while once. The guys who run the place are pretty cool guys. You got to love a store that has the NESkimos playing on their stereo.

I remember going to Game Haven once, but I remember it being in a cramped little corner of a dilapidated storefront (a tiny one) next to a doctor's office or something. I also remember it being packed full of cool stuff, but then some rednecks came in and I got the hell out of there. I should go to their new location, in addition to Vacs and Vids. When I heard the commercial for that one on the radio I thought it was the most hilariously lame thing ever, but people have been saying they have a good selection.

yep I work in electronics at the walmart. What department and shift did she work.

I just scored a $7 Beach Spikers from 2nd Time Around last week. Though the rest of the store tends to be kinda meh, every so often you can find a rare game there. They've trimmed back the anime section quite a bit since when I first started going there back when I was at UD 4 years ago, but I do know they had a ps2 rez there about 3 months ago(which I didn't have the money for, and when I came back, it was gone :( )

i'm going to check out a psuedo pawn shop tomorow in eaton. My girlfriend's family owns it, so i'm hoping they might hold stuff for me before they put it out for sale. I'll post tomorow what kind of prices and selectiont hey have.

The target off of salem in trotwood (really dayton) Has about half of their pc game section on clearance. I can't remember all. the biggest thing I remember was half life 2 for about 20 bucks.

I picked up Bee 52 and another camerica 4-in-one nes game for $5 total as well as Star Ocean Second story for $6 in my special store in Eaton

BIG BUMP. The xbox 360 is playable at the walmart (supercenter) on Hoke rd. in englewood. My friend that works their said they have call of duty 2 and King kong playable.
is the 50% walmart deal at any of the locals?
I know hoke road walmart does not. The salem ave one might.

Bump The wal-mart on salem does have a 50% sale. They had a card table out and it had on it all for these for 10 bucks a pop.

Jade Empire LE
Burnout 3
NCAA 2005
Brothers in arms (can't remeber whole title. I know that its not new)
raze hell (or whatever)
a street fighter game
sudeki (something can't remeber)

Sorry about all of the ones I can't remeber the details of the titles to However some good deals nonetheless.

I stopped by The Game Haven yesterday and they have a nice trade-in deal.

Trade any 5 GC, PS2, or XB games and get $15 extra in credit.

They give at least as much credit as EB does, so it ends up being better than the 30% extra they are giving.

Bump for the added Google Map. It's about time they added that feature.

Also, The Game Haven still has their Trade any 5 complete, non-sports GC, PS2, XB, DS, PSP, 360, PS3, or Wii games and get $15 extra in credit. I've taken advantage of it a few times to score some new games.

I like to hit up area thrift stores, some have games in their showcases. It's pretty hit or miss, but I've found a few gems this way. It's also good if you're looking for controllers and hook ups and things like that too. One day I found a NES Advantage for like a buck fiddy. It's a little beat up and i can't wash the price off of it, but IT WORKS and is awesome.

You can also usually find a some good deals at Trader's World, there is a pretty awesome game store in building 5 called Game Time (kinda cramped but they have a lot). Turtle Creek/Ceaser's Creek Flea Markets are also pretty good places to go.

I went to stop by the CD Connection across from Wright State today after work and found out that they closed a month ago. At least it was only that location. It was pouring rain, so it didn't exactly make my day.

Also, Second Time Around is all kinds of awesome for finding stuff you never knew you wanted.

I can understand why they closed that one. Seemed like everytime I went in there, I was the only customer there. FYI, the CD Connection in Middletown also closed back in January. The Fairborn one never really had anything that good. Most of the stuff I bought at CD Connection was the one in Huber Heights, seems like they always get the good stuff(found a couple season box sets of G.I. Joe & Transformers there).

Also, I wonder why the EB games in the Towne Mall is listed. That's been closed for a couple of months.

I found a couple good deals on games at the Fairborn CD connection. Mostly new release games for about $25 or so. Their used CD selection was lacking for my tastes though. The Huber Heights store does seem to consistently have the best stuff. I never got a chance to stop into the Middletown one. Same with the EB Games. I didn't even know about it until after it closed when it showed up on a Google Maps search. I'll take it off.

Updated again, removing all Hollywood Video and Game Crazy stores, Gem City Records, and a few other stragglers. On the upside, I added Disc Exchange.

Are there any game crazy sales besides the one on Patterson? I went there and found street fighter 4 for $8 but they couldn't find the game.

Stopped in Buybacks' new store a couple of days ago. It's awesome that they're bigger but i think they may be TOO big. It was kind of a pain to look through their DVD's since every individual one is faced out, even the multiples of the same movie. Also not a fan of how they mixed their box sets in with the regular DVD's.
