Added a link to the Trading FAQ to the OP. That should have more visibility IMO.

Put a link to the FAQ for trading in my trade thread. This thread and the FAQ definitely need more attention.

Hi,

I am new here. I tried to make a trade list/New Topic, but I was restricted? Is there some thing I am missing, or not doing correctly? Thanks

New users are not allowed to make trading threads.

It's incentive to post more.;)

You can make a thread after 30 days, post count has nothing to do with it.

Im curious-

* Pornography (this included hentai), or any other items that have age-restrictions, such as cigarettes or alcohol. There are users under the age of 18 on CAG, so this can't be allowed. This is not up for discussion.

So games that are age sensitive are no-no's as well?

I don't know if this is possible, but maybe Shrike can get info from everyone who has a trade thread, such as address, phone number, etc. If anything is questionable he can refer to this said list?

It's nigh-impossible to try and police the sale/trade of M-rated and AO-rated games on CAG, due to the sheer volume of traders here. It would take more means than what we have here to monitor. As much as it would be nice to keep that in check, it's impossible unless every single trade was sent to the mods for moderation, and that would invalidate the trading forum due to the backlog. Unless we made about three or four dozen mods who did nothing but that, of course.

Though, the sales of alcohol, cigarettes and pornography are govered by law, which is why they're prohibited on CAG.

I'm sure that's not the answer you wanted, though I'm going to have to rely on CAGs to keep the age restrictions of M-rated and AO-rated games in mind when they deal them.

And Stick_Pickle, it wasn't an attempt to ignore you, it simply didn't come across my notice until someone reposted in here and showed that there were new posts.

Why can't I start a new topic in CAG Trading?

I've been here for well more than a month, and have made a lot of posts...

Once you've been registered for 30 days your status will change to CAG in Training and you'll be able to create a thread in the Trading forum.

Your join date is May 29th so that should be midnight board time today (the 28th), since May has 31 days. However I'm not 100% of the accuracy of it all so it could be off by a day.

Just to check, I can still deal in the trade forums while I am under the 30 days right? I just can't make my own threads. I just wanted to double check. I dont want to break any rules on my second day.:D

Please note item #7, which indicates that anyone kicked out of the Trading Forum will have a new custom title, "Trading Time Out". They should not be working out any deals while in Trading Time Out, and if found out doing so, the will be banned from CAG, and possibly anyone they've dealt with.

Should a negative feedback be left if someone is asked to send first, but they never send?

Thanks.

Would this be the right forum to post a trade deal that offers items that isn't a video game per say but a website for one? I'm looking to pass on my one site that brought me alot of Google adsense, free refferel items and such.

If you do a CAG a favor like pick up a game or a guide for him (because their location doesn't have a particular sale or games) and they pay you, are you supposed to leave feedback and vice versa? Or is feedback strictly for trades and sales?

Hello, I am new here. I have a World of Warcraft account I want to put up for trade, is this allowed? I didn't find any guidelines on it. Thanks.

This is a domain and site that I own and looking to hand it over for a Wii. Would I allowed to create a thread here for something like this? Or is it just for games, accessories, and DVDs?

WoW account sales/trades are prohibited, because they're against the Blizzard ToS.

Hello!

I would like to ask, what kind of systems to prevent scamming are in place? I don't exactly know how to trade here.

Yes, FB may be left in that situation. As long as both sides trade something tangible then FB may be left. In this case you'd be trading a guide or game and they'd be 'trading' cash. I would suggest you make it clear with the other party beforehand that you want this to be considered a CAG sale and have CAG FB left for it. If the sale was set up via a thread in the Trading forum that should be understood.

In the case of a contest or sending somebody something for free, then FB should not be left.

The main safeguard we have is CAG feedback. I'd suggest starting with an experienced trader. (Say someone with over 10 FB.) But in the end there are no 100% guarantees that you won't be scammed. Trade at your own risk.
