CA CAGS - Where you going for the 360 Launch?

If I had money I'd go to Costco, they're on my way to work and they're exclusive so there shouldn't be a bunch of punk teenagers there. They've got the best price on the premium bundle, the only worry would be if they actually get them on day one or not, you know how those places can be sometimes.

I work launch night, so after I get out at 1:30 am I am going to the walmart in Arcadia, if they have a line already then I am going to the Best Buy on Foothill

I want to go to BB Hawthorn for the midnight launch, but i work until 930, so if i got there at 10, i doubt i would have a chance of getting one, so i am probably going to camp Woodland Hills BB, i was thinkin WH Target and WH Wal-Mart might not be too crowded, but i heard they are both gettin in very little units, should i even try Hawthorn Midnight Launch?

I'm gonna go to the Game Rush in Camarillo. I know a bunch of the guys there and there's talk of instead of leaving, people who buy 360s setting theirs up and busting out some PD0 multi. And while I wont be getting a 360, I can't pass up some hang out time w/ friends and pwning all their punkasses.
Walmart in Oxnard, if that doesn't work then I'll be at Sam's Club(Oxnard), Target(Ventura, Oxnard), Sears(Ventura), and K-Mart(Ventura).
Chris, I'll prob. be hitting up the same stores as you (dependng when they open). That Walmart is so damn disgusting though, I wonder how many consoles they will get in.

i'm heading to BB Hawthorne at around 9 or so. then wake up early to wait in line at W. LA and Culver City BB. might check the 2 targets, Fry's, ToysRus and CC as well.

i think im going to go to sears, and im going to call radio shack today since it seems like a couple of stores might get it, or so a thread said

i work at Sears, and i asked the manager of electronics about how many will our store be getting and he told me that our store would only get 3 of the Premiums and 2 of the Cores. i'm not sure about other Sears, but the one i work at is pretty big (South Coast Plaza) and i don't think any other Sears would get a significantly larger number than that. so just a heads up.

I don't really care about getting a system this holiday season, but I'm curious to see how many lunatics will actually camp out overnight (in near freezing weather) in hopes of later auctioning systems off to the highest bidder. I'll probably drop by the local BB and Target stores an hour or two before work just to check out the scene, but I really couldn't care less about actually buying anything. :D

i've never actually participated in line-waiting for items, but is it 1)"people are given the chance to buy xbox 360's in the order they are lined up" or is it 2)"first to get their hands on one (despite the order they are lined up in), are first to be able to buy them"? like if i'm like 20th in line, when we all get inside can i try to run ahead of people to get to the 360's before them? or how does this work?

i posted this in the NC thread, but I think i will get more responses in this thread...thanks :)

I called the Hawthorne store because I thought I might go there but they will only sell 100 for the Midnight release and the clerk said people were already camping out since yesterday.

I have 4 bestbuys, 3 circuit cities, 3 walmarts, 2 sam's clubs, and 3 sears + about 8 meijers - a midwest version of walmart in the immediate area. So i'm going to get up early and pick the store that has the shortest/no line.

i will hit the usual stores(circuit city, best buy, target) in santa monica, culver city and west LA.

The best buy on sawtelle in west los angeles probably has a line already.

I am guessing i will hit paydirt at the cc in santa monica since there is no place to park there.(i live close enough to walk so it is not an issue with me). People would have to leave their cars in one of the 90 minute zones so that eliminates campers pretty much.

My brother sorta wants a 360. So maybe if I'm feeling like it I might go check out the stores in the morning, like at 7 when walmart opens.

Dont bother. Most are getting VERY few systems, and people are prob. already there. Mine had a whole 18 ofthem for a VERY busy store. 6 were Premiums

All walmart's within a 50 mile radius of where I'm at, Grand Rapids, MI were already out of them, or had huge lines. I called over 12 of them.

I'm freezing my butt off at the target in escondido. There were originally 15 premium units available but now we've been told there are only 10.

I put down $50 bucks for one of the pre-sale bundles at where I work (TRU, San Rafael, CA).

So after class, and my shift at work, I shall be picking up all I need.

I picked up mine at midnight from Gamestop since pre-ordered it. Took less than five minutes. I get to sleep soundly while everyone freeze in the cold.

i'm so glad I got invited to Zero Hour. ON my way home from the event I saw that the best buy was crowded to hell. A coworker said he got there at 7 an the BB in hawthorne was already 200+. Microsoft really provided a lot this time around so i'll forgive the crappy 6 dollar burrito and 3 dollar soda.
