I hear that Mario DDR will be discontinued. I got official word from a Nintendo employee that Nintendo has stopped production of Mario DDR and does not plan to make any more. That means, the game has been discontinued. That really sucks. I wanted to pick up this game and was waiting for a price drop.

I have talked to another Nintendo rep and was told the game was simply sold out. I have no clue what as to what happened.

I know a few stores loaded with piles of these in the back.

After tax, ebay fees, paypal fees I am not sure it is worth the gas to purchase and ship. $100+ for a game that just came out? Glad I got mine already.

I was going to pick this up at BB on Black Friday (they had about six) w/coupon but the line was extremely long. I might go back for one just incase they become hard to find.

EDIT: I was just informed that Nintendo is not shipping out any more copies of the game. It does not mean that the game will be permanently discontinued, but Nintendo will not be shipping this game out for some time due to a problem.

I'm curious about this too, as I have two of them... (The Nintendo Store online is still selling the dance pads.)

We got an email in our system yesterday at GS that they were discontinued. They are listed that way as well. So there will be no more shipments to us. I guess I need to pick up a few while I can.

This is simply insane. I have mine, but I can't imagine Nintendo discontinuing what has to be a major holiday seller. If there's a problem with the pad, then replace the pad and keep rolling.

I've heard it's just going to be hard to find during the holidays due to a shortage in the dance pads... considering it's been selling briskly and Nintendo has invested a fair amount of effort into marketing it, it doesn't make sense that it's going to be pulled from shelves permanently so suddenly.

I can't belive how much they are selling for on EBay. I was going to say, who would pay $125+ for that game but then again, people were paying $100 for a horrible port of Disney Mix a while ago (the US version I mean, the arcade and Japanese PS1 versions were good)
