Assuming you don't use any of those special Double Points deals, it ends up being about 100 points per dollar, hence $125 (for 12,500 points) to get a $5 certificate. The membership costs $10, so you'd need to spend $250+ to make it worth it.

That said, there are some nice deals that definitely make it worth it - for instance, if you buy a PS2 or XBox right now, you get double points, and boom, there ya go, it's all filling from there.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, since I'm not 100% on all that...
 
I have one it is worth it. I at first thought it was dumb but i go there almost every 2 weeks and I feel it's worth it. for every 125 bucks u spend u get 5 back. its worth it you know you oing there any way why not get "rewarded" for it.
 
nice deal... since it has started i have gotten over 30 dollars back, thanks to my new widescreen tv and car audio :)
 
Its worth it because, for a personal example, if you know someone that is going to buy something, just go with them and pay for it with their money and use your card...haha, but I can't use it anymore since I work there...

Its a good deal. You actually just need to spend $200 to make your money back though, since they give you a startup bonus of 5000 pts(=spending $50).
 
I have it and I just spent about $2000. I hope that the reward is worth it. I do go around there ofter for their good deals. I figure that if you're going to make purchases anyway then why not?
 
If you have a Best Buy credit card, which is what they hand you after the first time make a big enough purchase to use financing, they will very likely let you join for the first yoear for free.

I haven't done as much BB shopping in the period as in previous years due to uncertain employment but I still have a $10 credit to use up.
 
Personally it takes FOREVER for me to get my reward certificates, usually no less than 3-4 months. I personally get very impatient.
 
The certificates do take a long time, but if you shop there often (like I do), there's no reason not to join. Plus, since you can price match all of their competitors, it's not like you're losing out on the prices.
 
I got mine free for a year in the mail one day so I tried it out. Over the year I got about $60.00 back from it so it can be good. I plan on paying for it this year since I am buying a tv and several other things.
 
I guess it is worth it but there are limitations - also if you want to return something that you bought with points you have to wait 3-4 months to be mailed new coupons. There is also a relatively short expiration date on them so if BB does not carry exactly what you want you have to waste them. It is annoying but if you are spending over $200 in a year then it is worth it I guess...

I just dropped about $8,000 in January and I got $365 in certificates snet to me at the beginning of May - they expired on May 29. Since BB didn't really have anything I wanted by then I ended up going crazy and buying an assload of DVDs that I didn't necessarily want but I will take them for free...

It takes a while because they only send certificates once per quarter. So it can take up to about 4 months.

In this past year that I've been a member I've gotten back about 80 bucks.
 
I bought mine in Feb. and I already got $25 in coupons back. So if your gonna be planning on buying alot from them, it's a no brainer.
