Game Pass

Rent unlimited games for a month. You can have one game (or 2 depending on the pass) out at a time and can return it whenever you want and switch it out as many times as you want.

$21.99 for 1 Game

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

I'm reposting this since it was a lot of work to type in - and whenever I do this sort of thing a new thread gets made :D.

I think this is still useful info even without a preorder deal because I'm sure many people will have preorders to switch when their games do not come in as promised (happened to me 3 times in the last 2 months already).

-----------------------------------------------------

Here's a relatively up-to-date GR preorder list, grouped by month, based on GR's expected shipping dates (I have actual dates if anyone is interested but was not about to type those all in). Note that March 2006 was a placeholder for many of the games delayed from this year - so I would expect many of those games to come out even later. Note that this list also has a column labelled "Presell cut-off date" which is always 5 days before the expected ship date. Maybe they have an official policy about preorder cutoffs now.

Note also that this list is certainly not comprehensive because it does not contain Phantasy Star Universe (for PS2) or Chibi Robo (GC), both of which I myself have preordered.

Thanks io, I went ahead and deleted the posts ahead of yours so that your information could be post #2. If I offended either of the posters that had their posts deleted, it was for the betterment of this thread and nothing personal. I know one person asked about a trade-in price, so feel free to ask about it again.
thanks alots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Delta Force: Black Hawk Down (PS2) still get $27?
You can get this at Fry's electronic for only $19
YMMV - why don't you find out for us? :D. Someone reported that it was only $12 at their location, but others have said it was still $27. I wouldn't risk it for the possibility of an $8 profit though. Maybe if I could find one at TRU for $10...

Oh, and thanks shipwreck (hey, since when did you become a mod? :D) - that will do nicely.

I think these are the 360 games in the system (there may be more...but I don't think all are on the list above...this was about 2 weeks ago maybe)

Here is what I remember (that is not already released)

how much is Virtual Quest PS2 fetch at GR again? I think i saw couple copies at the TRU today.. no restock on other title though... oh also is Virtual quest also $9.99?

PS2 Delta Force Blackhawk Down still got $27 when I traded it in today and XB King of Fighters Maximum Impact Maniax still got $19.

Another small note, I stopped at EB Games before I went to Gamerush and found a used copy of XB Galleon at EB for $7.99 b/c. AFAIK it still trades in for $19 at Gamerush as well.

Gamestop.com has Kuon in stock. I ordered two and they looked in near perfect condition. I havent traded them in yet but i hope they're still $24.

Hey shipwreck, i read your reply to my question in the last thread. If you need me to help you with the trade in price update let me know.

I know I will probably just get told to call Gamerush, but does anyone have recent trade in values for Dragon Ball Z Sagas for PS2 or Gungriffon Allied Strike for XBOX?

The deal is that I was in a TRU farther from home and grabbed both titles at $9.99, only to see the review scores.

Now I'm wondering if I should just take them back to TRU, or open them see how they are and then take to GR. I only want to do that though if I can get most of my money back.

If no one knows I'll check w/ GR tommorrow.

Thanks.

I hope GR adds Fight Night Round 3 for XBOX 360. I was impressed by the demo, so I am going to pick it up.

I am really dissipointed by the low trade in prices for XBOX 360. I guess the 25% off used games forced them to do that, but $6.50 less on trade ins (PGR3/Kameo=28.50 instead of the usual 35 for good games) makes me not so eager to trade in my games.

Interesting side note...I had pre-ordered Quake 4 XBOX on the trade-2 deal last summer in the hopes that they might give me the 360 version (since the XBOX version was never released). I just went in to the store today to check on it, and they said (incorrectly) that the game had been released, but since I hadn't come to pick it up (hee hee), they credited my account for the full amount of the preorder ($50, even though I pre-ordered it for $30 with the trade-in deal). Needless to say, I was pleased ;-)

Btw, I can also confirm that the following games are still hauling in their ridiculous trade prices, as of Saturday:
- Dynasty Warriors 5: $27
- Romance of Three Kingdoms 10: $27
- Ghost in the Shell: $19

1) Does anyone know if GR is accepting preorders for Arena Football (XB)?

2) Does anyone know the current trade values on both DtR2 and Destroy All Humans?

Thanks :)

Okay, we now have a Trade-In Prices section of the OP. I went back to the beginning of this year to find the prices and stopped there for now. Just post whenever you find out a trade-in value and I'll update the OP.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how to make the OP the most useful just let me know. And if anyone knows if all those buy a Nintendo system get a free game deals are still going on please let me know as well.

Awesome. Once this thing gets populated with some more data it'll be hugely useful.

I got $27 for my last copy of Delta Force Black Hawk Down today. Psychonauts, Fight Night Round 2, Flatout, and FIFA Street were all holding steady.

Also, I noticed Project Snowblind (PS2) is now only $6.99 preowned. A little over $5 after the 25% off.

I believe Siren is around $5-$8 for trade-in credit.

Just got back from Gamerush. Kuon is still worth $24, and Killzone gets $22, yet GR sells it used for $12.74 (after 25% off). Yea, thats real smart Gamerush.

Is mario party 7 still getting $30 at GR? been too lazy to trade it in.. hopefully it's still fetch at that price.. anyone know?
yah just got back from gamerush and they said that there should be new deal in 2 weeks or so.
Did they have any details?

I will probably hold onto my xbox 360 games then, since I REALLY want an xbox 360 preorder deal. Even if the deal is $10 off xbox 360 games with trade in, I will be happy.

Im pretty sure I saw a sign at gamerush that it was going for $30 but I could be wrong. You could always call.

Traded:

Sprung - $4.50 (DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! IT IS NOT A BARGAIN AT ANY PRICE!!!! YOU ARE WARNED!!!)
Polarium - $10
XBox 360 Headset - $9

Bought:

DOA 4 - $41.24 ($54.99 * 75%)

I should also mention that I bought a Teal Nintendogs bundle last week thinking I would break even after fees and turn credit into cash. I got a nice little bonus when it went for $200.

I think there is an imminent price drop on Killzone.

I was going into a TRU and called a local BB here in OR beforehand to see if I should pick up a few from their huge stack of Killzone's. I was quoted $7, which makes perfect sense for a GH game (most of the TRU copies were GH version). Now, I didn't call GR itself, just the local BB. Remember, in the past we've had GR giving higher values for a day or two after regular BB's had lowered a game (Xenosaga II for example). So, I would be very careful if you are trading Killzone in at GR - the price may drop tomorrow (Mon).

Flatout, as some else said, still fetches $27 - this was at both GR and a regular BB. So my TRU trip was well worth it. I had been to this TRU at least 3 times in the last week or so, and never saw these before. They also had one of the games I was looking for myself - WarioWare for GC. The kids are having a blast with that as I type :D. I specifically looked for that one AND had them check the case thoroughly for it last week. They are either restocking these games or finding hidden caches in the back room. Then again, the other TRU has nothing but a knee-high stack of Viewtiful Joe 2...

what are the chance that TRU restock any of the games? My TRU is kinda far.. not sure if it's worth the drive if they don't restock regularly... man.. I wish I didn't miss on the deal.. too busy and wasn't in the mood to drive back then :)
Sprung - $4.50 (DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! IT IS NOT A BARGAIN AT ANY PRICE!!!! YOU ARE WARNED!!!)
You gotta like that kinda game. I grew up reading "Choose Your Own Adventure" books and I love SPRUNG. It's like playing a Choose Your Own Adventure in a 90210-type story. I gave it to my girlfriend to play and she was totally hooked.

I have no idea, I just know that in the 3 subsequent times I've been to one TRU, new things were out on 2 of those trips. Nothing substantial though - they could have just been from the back. I'm not sure if it is worth making a special trip or anything, but if you are near a TRU you might as well check it out - it is not a given that all the good stuff is gone. And while I, personally, never found any of the good games that all CAG's, or even the general public, would look for (RE4, DDS, Mario Party's, Psychonauts, Tekken 5, the PSP games, etc) it is more likely that you will find games most people would pass up but that act as good trade fodder at GR (like Ghost in the Shell, KOF:Mi, Haunting Ground, etc). At one TRU many of those were never put in the clearance bin - they are still on the shelves. Except today I went and Flatout and WarioWare were sitting on the clearance table - go figure.

I'm going to be in the DC area next week and will check out the TRUs there - they are good for GR fodder because there are no GR around there so no one else has a need for them. That's where I got all my Galleons last time :D.

Yeah, you really need to know what you're getting into to enjoy the game mechanics. Despite some road-block clunker puzzles, I still greatly enjoyed the game. But don't let your female companions get ahold of the game, or the closest you'll be getting to your DS is to help them through the puzzles.

Heh - I bought this for $5 from Target on the recommendation of people here at CAG for my wife. Haven't started it up for her yet, but she did give me a funny look when I showed it to her. I think the name put her off a bit. Plus she's not into games at all - we'll see if I can get her started with this one though... I keep telling her she might like the Phoenix Wright game (though I haven't played it myself) as she's into mysteries and lawyer shows and whatnot :D. The problem is she barely has time to shower when taking care of the 3 kids, let alone play games, whereas I get all this free time on my business trips (she's fine with me playing the DS on my trips - could be doing a lot worse things with all that time :D).

Well I guess Sprung is an acquired taste, but I stick by my warning. There is a reason is was available for $5 at Target.

I forgot to mention that when I picked up DOA4 I learned that BB/GR does not have preprinted $54.99 price labels. Combine that with the fact that most of their employees are unmotivated, and it leads to all 360 games sitting in a box or a pile for a few days before they are put out on the shelf. If you are looking for used 360 games you definitely will want to ask someone if they have gotten any in.

God, thats worse than me not thinking of pre-ordering a PS3, i cant believe i never thought to ask about used XB360 games, that 25% takes a decent chunk off.

Though i wonder if employees get any discounts, and they snag them before they even hit the shelves.

io or anyone... did Odama ever get confirmed in or not in the GR system yet? Considering preordering that by the end of the month (to get the 39.99 price) just in case the next deal isn't any better. I'll be doing the same with Chibi-Robo.

My wife loved Sprung. Spent like 10 hours beating it. Now she's hooked on Advanced Wars DS. I had to get her a DS of her own for Christmas or I'd never get to play a DS game again. First game she was ever hooked on was Nintendogs.

I haven't checked since about mid-Dec when I was switching VJ Double Trouble - they didn't have Odama in the system then. Let us know if you find out about it. I probably won't be back into GR until a week or two from now.

Will do.. now I just have to find a few high-margin games to trade in now that my credit has dipped drastically.

I built up my credit pretty well with the leftovers from the TRU sale. My problem will be that if they bring back a trade-in deal I don't have much in the way of trade-in fodder. Plus we'll have to wait and see what kind of restrictions they impose on the trade-ins. Hopefully just like before (no old sports games or anything that sells less than $8.). Of course, the whole reappearance of a trade-in deal is just a rumor anyway at this point.

I haven't gone back to TRU lately to look for good remnants, but I'll probably do that this week now that everyone who wanted them has had time to buy them. I figure if I can trade in another $50+ worth of stuff, buy some gift cards to get me a couple free $5 gift cards to be back over $100, I should be fine for a bit. I've bought just about everything I'm interested in there, so an unlimited amount of credit isn't really worthwhile anymore (keeping in mind I bought about $150 worth of stuff in the past two months). They don't get much in the way of DS/GBA/GC trade-ins, so outside of preorders/random selection of new games, there's not much left for me. If only we knew they'd be viable when the Rev launched.

And it seems they've pretty consistently had one deal active at any time, so once February starts and the 25% off deal ends (and maybe the 39.99 deal, who knows), they'll likely start something new.
...an unlimited amount of credit isn't really worthwhile anymore ...
Exactly. I have a bunch of credit but not much to use it on except movie rentals :D. There are several GBA/DS purchases I would make there at regular retail using the credit but I doubt they will get them in. They didn't get FF IV for GBA, and I doubt they will get Age of Empires for DS. I'll have to use my nearly extinguished EB credit for those. I'd gladly save my credit for a PS3 and/or Revo preorder deposit, but who knows about those. So unless another preorder deal comes up where I can burn through some credit (and there really aren't that many more games I would preorder anyway - I'm starting to hold off on some games since I won't play them for over a year and will be able to get them cheaper then) I'm not sure what I'll do with it all...

I've missed all the TRU deals, so my credit is not where it "should" be. I think I still have $100+ in credit plus EIGHT pre-orders, but I want more ;) I think I only took advantage of the KUON trade in...with 1 copy only. Oh well....I may pre-order a PS3 when they let me, hopefully they sell as well as the 360 so I can make some cash on it ;)

I found another good one for those of you that grabbed this at TRU for $5.....

DBZ Budokai 3: Collector's edition(PS2)- $30

Not bad for $5 of my cash. Also Metroid Prime(GC) only gets $1.25, decided to keep it.

Traded in World Tour Soccer 2006 for $19 and another Kuon for $24. Killzone only got me $10 so I'll be returning that, this all at a regular BB. New girl, she even took Soccer without me having to open it.

Looks like I'll be heading to GR tomorrow and picking up another copy of Kuon on the way to up my total to $109. More than enough to preorder Chibi Robo and Odama if they're both in the system (I'll be checking tonight or tomorrow when I go).

I got:

Ghost in the Shell PS2 $19
King of Fighters Maximum Impact XB $19
King Kong XB $15
Killer 7 PS2 $12
Winning 11 8 XB $16
Prince of Persia I XB $6
Prince of Persia II XB $7
Project Gotham Racing 2 XB $6
Silent Hill 4 XB $7
XMen Legends I XB $7

I traded in:
King of Fighters: Maximum Impact CE for PS2 - $19
Nightmare of Druaga - $19

Does anyone know how much Guilty Gear Isuka trades in for?

What's up with GR not having Dead Rising in the system for the 360 yet? I tried to preorder it today but no luck it's still due out at the end on this month according to EB......

Traded in KoF:mi $19+tax credit just like everyone else has been saying lol.
