take from SD

Office Depot has this for $49.99

http://www.officedep...el=SK&id=904152

minus $20 coupon 93326912
instore pick up price would reduce it from $169.99 - instant discount $30 - $20 coupn - $70 rebate = $59.99 + tax

supposely working with PSP as well.. acting as a HD where you can transfer file back-n-forth between this HD and PSP pro duo.. pretty good price for 20 GB.. if you go on a trip just load up movies, games.. etc with you and you can directly copy this into the produo without using your laptop or PC..

and the size is small enough and the color kinda match PSP as well

Wouldn't 169.99 - 30 - 20 - 70 = 49.99 + tax?

Think 170 - (70 + 30 + 2) = 170-120 = 50+tax?

Anyway, if it works with a PSP, quite interesting. I wonder how reliable it is.

ah ha.. it was on SD and no one correct it... even better.. $49.99

OD had this deal last month also and the FW people had long discussion about it and if you google smartdisk and psp you will find out that it can be used with PSP kinda neat idea..since if it work reliably then i probably won't need another 1GB pro duo for awhile.. a long while actually..

btw if you wanna pick it up at OD do it quick though.. it's been on SD and FW.. so it may go out of stock real quick.. i picked up the last one at my OD

p.s. some manager would be anal about the $20 coupon since it's not suppose to be used with tech item.. but the OD store i went had no problem with it.. good luck

let the rest of us know if you have or use this.. i probably won't have time to play around with it until awhile..

Where's the $20 coupon? I'm afraid I might be dense and I'm not seeing it.

Also, dont buy this thinking you'll never need a memory card. All this device allows you to do is transfer stuff to a memory card that you must buy seperately. Unless you know how to create the cables to take the USB and fit it into the memory card slot, it will not work as a stand alone device.

How exactly does this thing work? Is there anyway to hook it up directly to the PSP as if you have a 20 gb pro duo?

you have to select 'instore pickup'.. the rebate is on the left side of the page... 'get rebate' button.. this maybe instore price as well.. may work with OM or Staples coupon if your OD accept them

supposely it plug into the USB port (mode) for PSP and then you can transfer file between the HD and the pro duo.. haven't time to try yet.. but people on FW has been discussing about this product for awhile.. well this HD can be use for anything else also... it's basically a small portable HD

when you press pick up at store location the price will automatically reduce by $30.. it work at one of my store and not the other, i assume that the one with instock item would take the $30 out.. i guess.. not sure

cool just did it...great price :D

kinda weird how it just subtracts 30 just for doing it in store...guess it makes up for free shipping if you buy from the site...

You can't use it as a Pro Duo, but when you hook it up to your PSP it recognizes your PSP drive as a flash drive so you can copy files to it and delete files. I can't wait to play with mine!

No, this would be ideal for bringing extra movie files and, ahem, other large files on a trip without your computer.

Is there a way to tell if a local OD has it? I mean, I can choose a store, but it doesn't tell me if it's in stock or not.

Regardless I'm going to stop by at OD, see if it is there, if so, run home and order it, come back at get it (since it's less than a block away from my apt).

supposedly if your store comes up on the list to choose from, then your store has it in-stock. making it even better, you can select "cash" as the payment type and then you won't get charged anything until you pick it up. thats what i did and it all worked like a charm.
