Anyone know of an alternative to Alcohol 120% so I can play PC games without having to insert the disc every time I play? Allcohol 120% was taken down today.

go to fileplant download the no cd patch
then go and download winrar add the no cd to the program files of the game with winrar and presto no cd needed

I use no-cd patches all the time and I don't have any pirated games. It just so much easier to click on that icon and have the game start, I have a LOT of PC games and going through them to find the one I want to play is bleck...

Use Blindwrite 5 and Daemon Tools together, everygame I try works with them, just make sure to install it from the virtual drive, both are free to download.

This is a ridiculous hoax.

A company named Fubra is holding Alcohol Soft's customer database and old domain hostage, since Alc terminated their e-business contracts with them. Fubra are the ones who put up that misleading page @ alcohol-software.com as petty revenge. They try at first to imply, subtly, that they are simply the owners of alcohol-software.com, but they finally misrepresent themselves by signing the page as "The Alcohol Software Team." Bad, bad, bad.

The new Alcohol Software homepage is http://www.alcohol-soft.com/. They are still in business, but since they have no way of verifying who purchased their software using Fubra's old database and interface, they have temporarily halted the release of new updates. Previous updates are available, and new purchases will go on a new database that is entirely operated by Alc themselves. The whois info checks out; the old site is still run by Fubra, but the new site is now registered under Alcohol's Danish headquarters at the correct address.

Hit http://forum.alcohol-soft.com/index.php?showtopic=13232 for an official statement. The real Alcohol staff have also been dropping by the CDR community fora to explain the outlandish situation.

So, rynomite, looks like you're still good to go.
