Game Pass

Rent unlimited games for a month. You can have one game (or 2 depending on the pass) out at a time and can return it whenever you want and switch it out as many times as you want.

$21.99 for 1 Game

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

GAMERUSH WEBSITE

This should have alot of stuff so please just search around the website before asking questions. Website updates happen but most deals are in effect way before they are updated on gamerush.com so check in the thread for the newest deals.

Yah, all Dreamcast games trade in at the same price (25 cents) and sell at the same price (99 cents). I picked up House of the Dead 2, Sonic Adventure, and NFL 2k for 99 cents each at a Game Rush yesterday. The same is true for NES, SNES, Genesis, Saturn, and other classic systems. I love when people trade these games in.
Isn't it time for these threads to stop, espically with no deals?
I think they still serve a purpose since they reach 500 posts within a few weeks each time. For now though, I'll move it to Deal Discussions.

It's a sad day when Gamerush gets moved to the Deals/Discussion and bragging rigths page. Gamerush has been a staple of the deals section. We need more deals Gamerush!

Does anyone know if Gamerush is taking pre-orders for the MGS 3: Limited Edition ($39.99) set that's going to be coming out?
I think they still serve a purpose since they reach 500 posts within a few weeks each time. For now though, I'll move it to Deal Discussions.
i think this is a mistake -- the thread's primary purpose is deals and trade-in values (admittedly, the chatter about not getting certain pre-orders in a timely fashion and other psuedo-bad experiences is beyond dreadful [maybe someone can mod that stuff out]) -- a little dry spell shouldn't be enough to cause us to have to hunt for it in a forum that i, and probably many others, never even check

if a vote can influence this, i, as a multi-year contributor to this site, strongly urge that the thread stay in video game deals as it has been for the last 2+ years (i would be curious if someone actually has a coherent downside argument to keeping the thread in the video game deals section)

for me (and probably for many others with credit built up at game rush), this thread is the main reason i visit this site and i like the convenience of going into video game deals, clicking on this thread and then backing out and seeing the other stores deals

I would also like to see this thread back on the videogame deals forum. Gamerush is ALWAYS a good deal, regardless if they have any specific promotions running.

It is one of the reasons why I visit but a great point.

Well, I threatened that I'd do this when the last thread had no deals and GameRush didn't take it seriously. Now that I've stuck it in here, they'll know I'm serious and I'm sure we'll get some deals soon. :)

Well, sorry about the preorder discussion, but admittedly it is about all that's going on now (oh except for all the trade-in prices I and others have quoted - guess we ought to stop that 'chatter' too). By the way, they still haven't gotten my Legendia in. Thought you might want to know :D

The late preorder discussion is also about extending the last great deal they had (ie, can we switch to another game, what happens if the second game is $50 but the one we first preordered is $40, which game might GR NOT GET IN so we can switch them to others preemptively that they will get, etc).

And why does it matter where the thread is? First thing I do when I go to CAG is click on "Menu -> Subscribed Threads". Up pops the GR thread (and any others I might be interested in, all in one convenient place!), no matter where it is located (though I had to find this new one today and add it by writing this here message). Then, as you do, I might back out and check the other deals.

Here's one... there are no deals to talk about? I don't see a stickied EB / Gamestop trade-in / preorder thread, which is all people talk about it, besides guessing at the next major deal (and every guess so far has been wrong).

Its been there for the last 2+ years because it actually had deals... now the deals are gone, why should we leave it stickied in a deals forum? To talk about trade-in credit? There's a Best Buy thread for that in "Request a deal", I don't see people bitching about where their thread is in there.

Its not like it was deleted permanetly, it's just three forums down stickied at the top, I am preeeeeetty sure you can find it.

that's cool, i think you should make clear that the new thread should not include deals

Relax guys, this is going to be the same GR thread that is has been. It's just going to live in a different forum for awhile until we get some new deals. If there are new deals it will be moved back to the Deals forum.

Hey how is it going .This is my first post. Anyways BLOCKBUSTER GAMERUSH STORES just recently dropped the prices on a lot of there Game Boy and Game boy color games. I bought a few.

$2.99
Tetris DX
Pokemon Yellow
Street Fighter 2
Dragon Warrior Monsters
$1.99
Pokemon Blue
Pokemon Red
Donkey Kong Country
Pokemon Gold
Pokemon Silver
Tetris 2
And There are plenty more below $5

Just go into your local Gamerush and check. You can always ask them to scan the item to check the price if they are not priced correctly yet. I think this is nationwide because an employee said that it came from Corporate to drop the prices on a lot of the older game boy games. Good hunting You can stock up on a bunch of games for that Ol Game Boy. If anyone has luck getting more games please list them. Thanks
Laterz

Yeah, I had actually noticed this a couple of days ago, but my GameRushes aren't always up to date on prices, so it was difficult to see what actually dropped. Thanks for the info though, and I'm going to merge this with the main GR thread and bring it back over to the deals section.

Some trade in values as of yesterday.

PSP

World Tour Soccer $18.50
Tony Hawk Underground 2 $18.50
Smart Bomb $12.50

DS

Tiger Woods $9.50
Asphalt $4.50

Xbox

Galleon $19.50

Used the credit to pick up AoE and Mario and Luigi both for DS.

I called my GR last night and they didnt get their Wed shipment but they informed me that their shipment which should arrive today, will have the preordered Full Auto faceplates. Hope this goes for all or atleast most GR's.

I was in GR yesterday and saw some GB games for $1.99 (I didn't know it was posted on here though at the time). Picked up Super R.C. Pro Am and Alleyway for both $1.99. Some GameBoy/Color games are $4.99 (unless they hadn't marked them down yet, which is highly unlikely).

I saw Contra: Alien Wars (original GB) for $4.99 and GTA 2 for GBColor for the same. I wish they're N64 games were still that cheap. Didn't they used to be like a dollar? I saw Top Gear Rally N64, but it was $6.99. Is Alone in the Dark for GBColor any good? Because if the other GR has it, it'd probably be $4.99.

A lot of the N64 games did drop to $1 last summer, yes, but not all of them. I've been waiting out the remainder for some time now...mega-popular games like Mario 64, Wave Race, Goldeneye, etc all dropped to $1, but other games like Top Gear Rally, Zelda, Donkey Kong 64, etc are still in the $6-$10 range. Not for long I hope though!

Okay, there are still some GB & GBC games as high as $6.99. Here are some of the ones I ran into at that price:

Super Mario Land
Donkey Kong
Spider-Man (GBC)
Dr. Mario

There were also some that were $4.99:

Contra
Zelda DX

Oh, and still no Full Auto faceplate. Although one of the employees there said he had it pre-ordered too and was going to talk to the manager to see what could be done tomorrow.

All those are still worth it at those prices, IMO.

Hmm... do these price drops on the gameboy color and gameboy games vary and when did this price drop occur? I remember seeing a gameboy color game start at $15 dollars during the 25% off deal, recently last Sunday saw it again for $10. Would be nice to pick it up for $2-3 bucks.

I first noticed the price drop either Monday or Tuesday of this week. From what I gathered today, it almost looks like most games dropped to about half-off their last price. The games tagged $14.99 were ringing up $6.99, the games tagged $9.99 were ringing up $4.99, etc...

I'd just have the scan whatever it was you were looking at as it is going to be cheaper than $9.99.

Thanks shipwreck, I think I might go take a look at my local GR tonight!
They used to have metal gear solid for the gameboy color at my local GR, I wish it was still there even it was cart only like most of the gameboy games I've seen. :(

Thanks OP

I picked up
Yoshi 6.99
Mega Man Dr. Wily's Revenge 1.99
Metroid II Return of Saumus 4.99
R-Type DX 1.99
AND

Dragon Warrior III 2.99

I can't believe Dragon Warrior was so cheap...the label is torn but that was a great price... it makes up for yoshi being high.

Edit well I just put in the dragon warrior cart and it's actually dragon warrior 1 & 2. Not sure if I got a better deal or not. But either way 2.99 for dragon warrior is good stuff.
are there any games right now that i can buy cheap from like circuit city or somewhere that trades in for higher? like crouching tiger hidden dragon?
Trade value as of 2/23:

GBA Batman Rise of Sin Tzu: $10

Edit - Sonic Riders came in today. Also I switched my Gran Turismo PSP to Me and My Katamari PSP, which, by the way, is in the preorder system now.

trade prices from 2-21:

King of Fighters Maximum Impact Maniax $19

Delta Force Blackhawk Down $12
Is the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex the one that's going for $19? Is it still holding up?
yUP
why would anyone want a full auto faceplate? why would anyone want full auto?
Because Full Auto is FUN....have YOU played the game or do you just like to crap on threads.

The faceplate is worth about $20 also.

I'll check for mine today....since I have to return FN3 since I shipped my 360 back to MS today.

Here are some trade-in values:

Third Party PS2 Controller $6
S-Brand Xbox Controller $6
DVD Remote Xbox $6
Nicktoons Racing GBA $10

Well, I just got back from Sam's Club and I found out that they sale Road Trip GC and the price of it is $12.87. If it still gets 24 you may want to check it out. It isn't as good as $9.99 I saw it for at Value City but if you have a Sam's that doesn't sale to many games you should be able to find it.

BB/Gamerush has had some really weird pricing lately. Used Xbox Project Gotham Racing 2 is down to $6.99 while Flatout is still still $44.99 when you can buy it for $29.99 NEW everywhere else (it's actually down to $19.99 at my local WalMart). PGR2 is a steal at $6.99.

Meanwhile, Timesplitters:Future Perfect is $19.99 NEW at Blockbuster and still $49.99 at Best Buy / Circuit City.

Anyone else find any good deals on recent markdowns (besides the Gameboy games)?

Well, GR sells Project Gotham Racing 2 for $9.99 new, so that used price makes sense.
