What is the DIsk called to Boot Import DC games?

There was the Utopia Boot Disc you can burn for yourself, but I preferred the Action Replay CDX Demo... thing worked perfectly for everything I threw at it. If your Dreamcast can't play CDs (so neither of those will work), I believe the retail product was called DC-X.

mine plays them without any disc. I thought they were all like that (the last three I've owned were)

Are they burned games? If that's the case they're probably self-booting discs.
