Maybe I am a little consumed by this sale... but I can be at work and Ill go out and buy my lunch... and think "5 bucks for FOOD? I could have bought a sealed video game"... just last weekend we set off tons of fireworks in my yard... all that $$ could have bought so many games that one can enjoy or trade away... and my pool has been eating up chlorine, algeacide (rain rain rain) and other chemicals... all the games I could have bought with that money

Funny thing is, I havent had much time to play any of them

Im just glad my wife loves to play games, we will be on the lookout for some game she wants tomorrow (esp Buffy)

Now I won't pay more than 5 bucks for a lapdance.

Seriously, I missed the bulk of the sale. I was out of town for the fourth and didn't come back until Monday night. I deceided I'd go out Tuesday to see what was left at two stores. That night I didn't sleep well, with the possibility of getting Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, and Mario Party 4 for 5 bucks.

Anyway, most of the stuff was picked over. I did make a few finds- Secret Weapons over Normandy among them...Now I realize I won't get a great sales like that for some time...

the only thing the CC sale has shown me is how greedy people can be. I never realized how quickly dealers pick over a store and how quick they post them on EBay. Personally, I could only really care about 2-3 games that were in the sale (Pikmin, Ikaruga, maybe Rez). Everything else I that I would want I had already purchased. My store was emptied last sunday. All that is left is old sports titles and shitty titles (ie Aqua Aqua).
no. if you never play the games then you get more value out of a $5 lunch.
I fully intend to play the titles I got... I didnt fill up 3 shopping carts much less 1 like some hoarders... if by chance there are titles I have that don't go played... Ive got Christmas gifts, most eveyone I know has systems and would love brand new games, most of them might not know you only paid 5 bucks for it  (already purchased 3 or 4 gifts already)

I guess I am in awe of getting 50 dollar games for 5... but I am not about to change my life in general to get these games

About the greediness factor... I couldnt agree more, just trading over the past week has been a frustrating experience, people pulling out of deals made when they get new offers, personally my word is good... I even passed up a Toe Jam and Earl because the game the guy wanted had JUST been traded by myself for a lesser game... or the people who keep asking for more things JUST because they sense you really WANT the game they are offering

Most of my trades have been one for one, and alot of times I throw in a demo or something else I may have lying around...
Is there a list for tomorrows sale. If so can someone post it .
There is no list. The sale doesn't name any specific games, it says titles will vary by location. Just pray for good luck, because that's all you can do.

I didn't buy any of the games at my CC, since the few that I was interested in were gone. It hasn't stopped me from going out for food or buying games at their normal prices. I stick by my policy of only buying games that I want, and have never bought a game I don't want just because it's cheap.

yes the tv i just bought from CC I thought hey if I wait 2 days I can get 74 $5 CC games but then I would have no tv to play them on. choices =\

No matter how cheap a video game becomes, if its a piece a shit, its still a piece of shit. And no amount of shit is worth $5!

Hey, i would suggest going to a trading site like gametz or tradegamesnow.com if you are serious about trading. I know my price, i know what I will give up to get a game, and if someone asks more than I want to give, then I walk. This site(cag) has been a great place for trading for me, as has gametz.

It doesnt really phase me when someone tries the kind of bullcrap you are talking about, i have seen far worse. If someone tries that nonsense, just tell them "no thanks" and move on. I generally just make one offer, and I make sure it is a fair offer and will not budge on it. If someone tries to nickel and dime me, I walk from the deal, no regrets.

Dont take any of the trading personally, its just how some people go about their business.

As for "has this sale changed how I go about my daily life?" Well, one thing is for sure, I will not be buying any games for a while(or i will trade the ones I dont like into eb toward getting tales symphonia)

Its screwed the trading market. Now everyone is complaining about how my Disgaeas only worth $5 but there Unlimited Saga is worth $15 and I should give them two more games for it...Its disgusting. Although I made out pretty well when I went to a different Circuit City got all the shit I wanted ^_^

I know what you mean about the outrageous trade proposals recieved, the WORST was from a guy who was offering me his Mario RPG (cart only) and wanted FIVE of my sealed games in return (I could buy an ebay copy less than that)... the best ones I had on my list no doubt, I politely told him "no thank you"... he PMed me back, lowering his offer to the best three games i had... ...

I was planning on taking my wife over to Pensacola, possibly to the beach, and to a nice meal etc, but I held off until today so I could be at their CC when it opens.. we will make a day out of it, with the CC visit just one small part of the day, so in a way it did influence my plans a little, I spent yesterday working, cleaning the pool, even gave my wife a small ring she wanted... probably good we did wait until today as a Blue Angels air show made the beaches IMPOSSIBLE to get into

Today I go into CC with a wish list of about 12 games Id like to find, but if I find two of them, Ill be happy. I liked the sale strictly from what they are offering and the price, but the greediness factor....MOST of the games in the list Id never buy (I left TONS and TONS at CC last weekend), but the list was so massive that there are quite a few I do want.

Video games or sales do not run of dramatically affect my life, i certainly havent changed any of my habits or luxuries because of it, simply I have related certain financial things in terms of video games I could buy with the money, nothing more

I have been told by another CAGer about the gamerz site.. which I will have to look in after today :D

I completed a trade that I think was completely fair and it worked out fine for both parties.

Of course, the game I gave could technically be considered worth "more" because it's more rare - but fuck that. I had a game I wasn't going to play and I traded for a game I knew I was going to play. The actual dollar value of video games doesn't matter in the least to me.

If I grabbed Disgaea today I would easily trade for one or two CC games someone else has that I really want to play. I'm not going to get all stuck up about how much it "should" be worth. Always remember that the value of an item is only what someone is willing to pay for it.
