Damn, been to 2 gamerushes (my only local ones) and they have slim pickings. I picked up Chronicles of Riddick. Might have to hit up a few BB to see if they have more stuff.
 
Yesterday, BB started a promotion where a game pass (one out at a time) is $14.99 for the first month and 21.99 after that.

I didn't try to buy it, but it was tagged as a 50% off game at two different stores that I went to.
 
I didn't see this in the other Gamerush thread but has anyone else confirmed that Midway Arcade Treasures 3 (PS2) is indeed $7.50? The two Gamerushes that I went to said it wasn't part of the sale, just the first two MAT. Thanks.

Yes it's $7.50, that's what I paid. Have them ring it up then have them hit total. It will automatically make the adjustment.

I tried to purchase MAT3 with another title that is part of this sale. The other title was discounted 50% and MAT3 was 14.99 after my purchases were totaled.

It looks like a YMMV on MAT3, MAT1 & MAT2 seem to be part of the sale though.

I was let in on a little secret today -- XBox Extension cables.

Believe it or not, they're getting $10 for trade-in!!

Obviously, this is a mistake that probably won't last long. Gamerush itself is selling them for $3 new and $1 used (both after the 50 percent clearance).

I traded in a bunch today and would like to trade in more, but was afraid of raising a red flag. CAG have fun while it lasts!
 
Picked up Suikoden V and Oblivion CE, whee. 70 dollars is crazy! bleh Hope it's worth it.

Did anyones GR get the Suikoden V guide in? I don't want to spend cash somewhere to get it but a Suikoden game without a guide can drive a man insane when you are missing just that one star at the end.

Thanks I will probably trade-in the one I have tomorrow. Hopefully, I can get 10 if so that means a xbox controller set I got at Target on clearance for seven bucks a few months back will gain me 25 bucks in credit at Gamerush. It came with controller, memory card, and extension cable.

Got the following values when picking up Oblivion on 3/21:

Kuon (PS2) - $6
Powedrome Racing (Xbox) - $12
Ren Ninja (Xbox) - $27
Iron Phoenix (Xbox) - $24

Assuming it holds, picking up Iron Phoenix from Gamefly as a member and using the $5 every-three-month credit put the total cost below $6 for me.
 
Has anyone been able to get a 360 Premium or Core from there Gamerush recently? I know the closest one to me hasn't had any and they don't know when they are getting any.

Hey, just a heads up. I went in this morning to trade in a few more, but they fixed the Xbox extension cable value. It's now down to $.25 instead of $10. Oh well, got $50 in credit out of it.
 
Too bad blockbuster doesn't accept accessories, just games... I'm still looking to get rid of all these extra XB and PS2 star wars controllers from the TRU deal last year.
 
And they'd been so good to me lately, especially with big Nintendo releases... still no Metroid or Tetris. She even looked in the box that came today, so no go. Very disappointing; everyone's gonna be able to kick my ass by the time I get online with a copy.

Yeah.. I need to get rid of some of those too. Anyone know how much those are trading in at? Maybe I'll drop by GR this weekend and see. I've opened the PS2 one already. Is the XBOX controller any better?
 
I called 3 GRs yesterday around 3pm looking for Tetris and got 5 different answers. Employees don't know that the date in the computer is the date for BBs in general, NOT GRs. They have so few GR-centric employees, that they never know what they actually get.

I tell them others stores got it. One person made it sound like they'd never get them in. Another said they weren't sure when. Another, after some prodding, said they had one -- but I want to pick up two (one for the wife).

I'm pretty sick of this crap. GR is lucky A) they give the highest trade-in values, and B) I have enough games that I can wait.

No, I too tried this last week and MAT3 for PS2 did NOT come up with discount - it was hard to figure out, too, as I had bought about 8 games total, and only had 7 discounts. But that was the one that didn't work.

Not good... I am going to call mine again this afternoon and check. Of course, I saw these games everywhere (Target, CC) yesterday. You better make sure they didn't sell your copies to someone else :D. I asked about Tetris (which I didn't preorder) and they told me they only have ONE coming in. I really don't get their DS game stocking decisions . They got 4 copies of Super Princess peach, which, by the way, ALL SOLD. You'd think they'd get more than 1 Tetris. And if they only get 2 Metroid (my preorder and one more) and sell them both before I get there I'm gonna be pissed. Same for Katamari.

According to the OP, PS2 third party controllers are snatching $6. I'm assuming Xbox is the same.

Just in Star Wars controllers, I have 1 PS2 and 3 Xbox still unopened, and 3 opened Xbox, one modified to plug into the PC USB port.

And as of an hour ago, Red Ninja still got $27. Got the final copy from my local CC. The woman I asked about it was stubborn, in a good way. She saw that there was one left in the inventory and went nuts looking for it until she finally found it up at the service counter. Last one for me. I'm still considering trading in the copy of Hulk: UD that I picked up for $10 last month, seeing that they're now paying almost double what they sold it to me for. Selling price went way up on it as well.

After 3 copies traded in, I ended up picking up DOA Volleyball for $15, mainly because I couldn't find it anywhere else locally, a Logitech Wireless XB controller, a PS2 extension cable, Chronicles of Riddick: EFBB, and a few movies the wife picked out. Still got some credit sitting, waiting for a used copy of God of War to surface.

I saw for PS2, but still, my BB doesn't take used accessories, and there's no GR within 3 hours of here. And I think EB only pays $2 per controller, IIRC. At that price, I'd rather keep them to throw at people.

Well that is an option to throw them at people since they were free. Well, I know from trading in my Xbox Brand Controller they get 6 and I traded in one of the RetroCon Mad Catz Controllers for PS2 I got on clearance at Bestbuy which also netted six about a week ago.

Also, sp00ge how much would you sell the unopened ones for?

nice work on modifying your controller... do you have a tutorial or know where to find a tutorial on how to modify a PS2 controller to USB?

And to Doubledown, I checked my local Gamerush store about the PS3s. The guy behind the counter told me as soon as there is a launch date, my GR store will be accepting preorders first come first served.

I picked up 2 FD18s to eBay them and a Psychonauts at $15 for myself. Still have almost $900 in credit waiting for PS3 preorder...

May Blockbuster/Gamerush live on til PS3 launch!!!

AFAIK, it isn't possible to do a direct conversion with a PS2 controller like an Xbox. The XB controller port is nothing more than a modified USB port anyhow, so the XB controllers are nothing more than USB devices. Clip and solder the proper wires, and install the drivers, found here: http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html .

I didn't use a breakaway, since the SW's are one piece.

I have one sandisk 1gb gaming memory stick pro duo for trade. Looking for mario party 5 (GC), shadow heart (PS2) or metroid zero mission (GBA).
 
Gamerush in Novi, Mi had used accessories on sale in the front of the store for 50% off. I picked up a Wavebird for $5, a Guncon 2 for $5, and a ps2 remote for $2.50.

They were in a steel wire bin at the enterance with a big sign and another bin below the checkout register.
 
Went to the GR in wixom and got MAT3 for, well, less then $9.99.

It isnt part of the %50 off sale as far as I can see, but it is coming up at 14.99

They took $10 off my purachse since they where just looking at the 19.99 sticker and didnt take the guncon I was buying (%50 off=$5) into consideration at first....and then he just said fuck it.

so for $11, I got a Guncon, MAT3 and Coke. Not too shabby.

And hey, bmulligan, you shouldve stopped by the comic shop to say hi, was stuck at work all day... could have used some video game talk other than staring at Zelda DS footage :)

I wonder why the XBOX version is only $10.

Also picked up Shadow Hearts Covenant for $15. Saw a few other titles...

How much is FD18 ? I have never seen that game at any GRs.
