To the couple that was present at the CC in Suitland, MD on 6/11

CAG Veteran
You guys will love this one. . . . .I went to CC in MD bright and early on Sunday. . . . . .they open their doors and so far I'm the only person there so I figure "cool. . .I'll have some time to really go through their bins". . . . . . .I approach the bin near the game section only to see a grown man and his wife hoarding the entire bin and they are cleaning house. . . . .I mean the guy was just using his hands as shovels and dumping every game into the hand-baskets. . . .I was so f'in mad. . . . .and I couldn't even see what he had!!. . . . .So I stood there for awhile and asked him if he was going to resell them on Ebay to which he passively responded that he was getting them for presents for X-mas and family.. . . I told him "yeah, I believe that". . . . . .when he went to checkout, he was at the register for at least a half-hour and paid with his Paypal CC, so I know he was going to resell them. . . . .and he had EVERY F'IN TITLE that we have all searched far and wide for. . . I mean he took numerous copies of Disgea, the bastard even found a Suikoden III, Devil May Cry, Dark Cloud 2, Rez (Three copies). . . .now some of you might be wondering where in the hell such a store exists to which I will only tell you (to maintain the sanctity of the only CC I can ever find rare titles) that this particular store resides. . . .shall I say in the more "urban"/"ghetto" area of MD. . . and I'm sure we all have those stores which are located in the "shadier" parts of town, so you might understand how such titles could still exist on a shelf. . . . . . anyway, had it not been for the fact that they have a cop present at this store during operating hours, I would've knocked him out. . .seriously. . . . .now to address that particular low-life, scum-sucking, non-life having, piece of s*** couple who was at that CC, I pray to God you read this post so you know that if I ever see you again I will address this issue with you "properly". . . . .You and you're fat f'in wife who stood there blocking the aisle deserve every bit of bad karma that you have coming your way. . . . . you guys just have not idea how mad I was and still am. . . . . .they were just shoveling every f'in game into the basket with absolutely no regard for anyone else and because of the "nature" of this particular store, no employees even cared!!. . . . .So to anyone who will be contemplating purchasing any game off Ebay and the seller resides in the Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia metropolitan area, ***DO NOT***. . .I repeat ***DO NOT*** purchase from those sellers. . . . .it's the only plausible way in which we can attempt to boycott such low-life ass*****. . . . .now some of you might respond. . "well. . .I'm sure there are more of these people scattered all across the U.S." . . . .and to that I say. . "you're right". . however I can only address what I witnessed with my own eyes and I only wish I knew this particular couple's ebay username because I would make their lives a living hell and I also pray that just once that piece of s*** reads this post!!!!!!!. . . . . .Anyway, thank you for allowing me to vent and I'm truly sorry to all of us out there who weren't able to find any of the more expensive titles and rare games due to such criminal acts. . . . . . .and to you F'ers that I saw at the store on Sunday. . . . ***ROT IN HELL***

wow i would be pissed to if they just opened and someone was already in there before the doors opened hoarding the bins. what f*cking pigs.

Man that whomps... But you should have just said excuse me, and then just set her big butt aside and gone for broke. Flat out man, if that acted like it wasd survival of the fittest (or biggest) you should have just taken a page from them as well, and gone to town. I'm sorry it happened to ya. But if it were me (and in some cases it has come to that) throw down for what ya need. Harsh? Yes. Down to their level? At time yes, but I got what I needed. People like that really suck though. Next time, bring some back up in tow. Safety in numbers.

While I share your pain and there are plenty of jackasses out there like those two people, this whole thread was kind of unnnecessary. There have been man just like like from people being screwed in the same manner. You just gotta roll with it. Also, I think you mean 7/11 not 6/11, cuz if it was 6/11 that asshole probably spent more than $5 a game.

I must first say, "Not another one of these posts."

You know, in situations like that a manager should step in. First come first serve is one thing. But when a shopper is behaving in a manner that prevents another shopper from making a purchase, that's a whole different issue.

I just have an image in my mind of you walking up to peruse the bin and these two individuals wildly grabbing and throwing everything in a bin. Because of the manner in which they're doing it, it makes you unable to approach, lest you get in their way. The way some ravenous individuals behave can be intimidating. It's almost as if they are blocking you from the bin.

I would actively search eBay for a reseller from MD with similar titles that your hoarders bought, and make their life a living hell.

This is the downside of Circuit City's style of management. Their internal processes for handling price changes/sales/marking prices are sloppy, and we have all stood to benefit from it through sale prices which aren't reflected on the item stickers and even outright mistakes in pricing (or mis-timed changes in price.) We are now also suffering from this poor management when they do not apply limitations on purchases by individual customers. *shrug* We've taken advantage of their (relative) incompetence, and at the same time, we lose out because of it when the sleaziest customer arrives to take full advantage of the situation.

One could ask,"Why don't you ask the store manager why there isn't a limit per customer?" ...but then, you could (and should) also ask the same manager,"Why are you selling Disgaea for $5?"

I"m not sure whether or not to say "Gee, that sucks, how did they get in there before you did anyway?"

or

"All of you complainers quit crying, all they crying in the world isn't going to get you those $5 games you missed out on."

I'd probably say a little bit of both.

You know what HOW did they get in there? He must've been an employee or something. They've NEVER let me in early, no matter how hard I've tried.

I would actually like to know why you didn't think to check this store, oh I dunno say, a week ago?!?

I'm more surprised that this store had such good stock so long after the price change became active. I would have driven a good ways yesterday if I believed any SoCal CC was going to be anything other than collections of garbage not even worth $5
would it be this guy. who else from MD is selling Rez? I declare war on piece of shit hoarders.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62053&item=8117901172&rd=1
May the war begin. Flood the email boxes of these sellers asking all sorts of crap. Like "How does it feel to be a P.O.S. hoarder?" and "How do you justify putting a $20 start bid on a $5 game? Don't give me no handling b.s. either." My bud did it to one guy who had several copies of VJ on ebay. The seller responded with.. a virus!! He was so pissed that someone called him out that he tried planting a virus in my bud's email. Of course it was scanned and deleted but still... To know he got under that sack of shit hoarder's skin that much was priceless...

Your friend should have kept it. It's a felony to spread a virus. That would have really pissed him off to report him.

he didn't even think about it. He was laughing so damn hard when he called me to tell me, I thought he was gonna die...

I think most people here would have bought all of the copies of Rez and Disagaea, so i can't really blame him on that. Buying a full cart of games is messed up though.
"How do you justify putting a $20 start bid on a $5 game?"
Easily. The asking price has nothing to do with the price the seller for the same item. These are two different transactions.

Don't you think he'd be selling a little more than 2 games?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't think any of this is worth getting all crazy and angry about. This type of gung ho attitude is no better than people hoarding games. I also find it strange that a seller waits an entire week before going to CC and then is able to find multiples of Rez and Disgaea? This smells of trolling.

I would assume that if you're a seller, you would have been on top of this sale first thing LAST Saturday or Sunday (7/3 or 7/4) and definitely by Mon or Tue but for someone to wait until a whole week later and be able to find such top tier A-titles is hard to believe. I haven't seen any other threads about hoarders for this Sunday's sale. Are you sure you're not mistaken and meant 7/4?

Either way, I think advocating punching people out is ridiculous.

EDIT: Also, do not assume it's a CAGer, as there's been plenty of time for Fatwallet, VGTalk, Gamespot, and probably even "Mom's Deals" websites to get a hold of this info. Not to mention it was in the paper.

OK, let's keep our eyes peeled for MD hoarders who sell lots of CC games. If anyone is stupid enough to sell it on ebay with the CC sticker on it... well you know what to do. Just keep it legal!

BTW your friend with the virus email should have sent a copy of it to the FBI. they tend to put virus spreaders in the I hoarded CC now pound my unraped ass like a dirty clown school dropout! Yeah it's called fuck me in the ass federal prison!

I seriouly think that CC should have put some limits on the games, such as limit one of the same title per person, and limit 15 games per person. That would have helped because there were a few people who took way too many copies of games I wanted at my CC.

At least your circuit city had titles. The one in Fairfax City didn't bother removing any of the $5 title off the shelves before the sale. So people ransacked it on July 4th!

My CC basically took all the games off the shelf last Tuesday, took them in the back and put them in a big bin and immediately brought them out to put them in the $4.99 bins.

I just went yesterday and was able to pick up some decent games. And there are still some okay games left.

Can anyone really type with a straight face that they wouldn't have grabbed every copy of Rez, Disgaea, Dark Cloud 2, Viewtiful Joe, etc., if they were still in stock on 7/11? Is someone really kicking themselves for missing that last chance for NHL 2001 for $5? The guys who raided the official bins mostly got crappy games.

There is no CC in "Suitland," Maryland. I didn't go to the Marlow Heights location, but I can categorically state that did not happen at the Capital Center location. I was there just after the store opened and nobody was shovelling games into their baskets or being rude. At first, I was the only guy with a list and I shared it with two guys shopping with their families. They weren't eBayers and they didn't know about CAG, they just wanted to buy cheap games for their families. I also went to that location thinking that it would be easy pickings for games for nerdy white guys. Let me just wipe the egg off my face and tell you that store was the cleanest, well-run, best-stocked CC I shopped at, and the customers were the friendliest as well.

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT WHEATON?

Hm.. wheaton I have checked, nothing good are there, but I like the employee there. They are more friendly.

But if it is, missing out Disgaea, Viewtiful Joe and Mario Party 4, I would have helped whoopin that couple's ass, except I am not 'fat' enough to take him down...... according to original post's description.. lol
only if it's righteous prison rape!
Sometimes it's the only punishment good enough  ...
i woulda took games out of his cart
lol, that's what i'm talking about!

be clever... since they're greedily snatching up everything, just drop a few $5 games away from the cart and grab as much as possible when they're not looking, LOL! :p

cuz im sure you wouldnt have bought all of the disgaeas, rez's, dark cloud 2s, etc.....get over it, someone was going to do it and they just happened to do it before you got a chance to......i mean yeah, it sucks.....but what is this going to do? not everyone who buys stuff from ebay is on cheapass gamer and im betting that 95% of the buyers on ebay dont even know what cheapassgamer is....so whats boycotting it going to do?

I agree, my whole thing is: why were there Disgaea's, Rez's, Dark Cloud 2's, etc. there a whole week AFTER everyone knew of the sale. Sure, maybe this CC was in a "shadier" area but:

1. it was in the metro-DC/MD/NoVA area which means there are MILLIONS of people with access to this CC (not to mention many of which are on this board). It would have been one of the first CCs to get wiped out.

2. Yeah, it was a shady area but if everyone's willing to fight each other over the $5 games, I'm sure they can fight off muggers and attackers also (the area's probably not that bad).

3. If I had known, I'd gone there too. Especially since I never found VJ. Already had Disgaea/Suikoden III/Rez (bought them around last XMas with the TRU B2G1F).

4. You lost this round but let it go and prepare for the next round of deals. It's not worth giving yourself an ulcer over it.

I thought that the Best Buy deal was going to be the last one for a while but not a month later comes the CC one and who knows what's next? Punching people out for games isn't worth it. And doing it the next time you see them is pre-meditated punching out. I don't think they let you play videogames in prison.

not to mention that while rough areas have trashy ppl and are swamped with ghettos and trailer parks....some people who cant afford access to internets....some people who are too busy getting high and etc....you think to yourself that those ppl aren't going to care about a deal, know about a deal, or know which games are rare...but, a lot of those ppl are struggling to make a dollar....a lot of those ppl are hustlers who will jump on a deal when they see it....a lot of those ppl have to read the ads every week in the sunday paper just to survive off of the cheapest clothes, food, etc....or else they wont make it off of the little bit of money that they have....not buying anything unless theirs a coupon for it....so someone who lives in a rough area caught a little bit of a break? hopefully they'll use it for good and not bad....let them do what they have to do....no laws were broken....be thankful that thats all that happened in this "bad, bad" area

Thanks for bringing this down to earth. We're all lucky to be able to even get on the Internet and on this site to look for cheap video games. There are many people who aren't as fortunate.

find their email addy and send them tubgirl pics and pics of other scat porn. It is the only solution.

you should have hit the compton cc...

Maybe I'm not as greedy as I should be, but I really wouldn't have bought more than one of those. I don't even know if I would have bought Disgaea as I don't even care about it.

My CC located in the hood was cleaned out buy 7/3 at night, I went there and everything was pretty much gone, a few guys with lots of games, good ones too. I know that earlier in the day they had Disgaeas, so yay for whoever go those.
