If you lock a thread, could you please make the final post in it, informing everyone of the reason for lockage?

It'll be a good visibility tactic, as well as let people know what they're doing wrong, so they (hopefully) won't go and post it again or post a thread asking why their thread was locked.

Just a suggestion.

They should do the same when moving a topic to the proper place... on the rare occasion that they do move a topic to the proper place.

This would definitely be a good idea as I myself have sent an angry PM to a moderator who locked my thread. Why? 'Cause I had no idea why he did!

locking threads is fine, got no problem with that one.

On the marking threads moved, I flat out refuse to do that one. Some of the people who post here are smart enough to post in the right section, and the one's that are not, need to learn to read. I got no problem moving a few threads, but asking about this right after the CC sale still fresh in my mind is a little too much to ask. And before anyone blames newbs, regulars were doing it just as much.

I have to agree with Casey on this one. That would be WAY too many, "Hey next time post this in the right forum" posts. Besides, you guys love telling people how they've posted a thread in the wrong place (you know who you are).

WSB - You mean something like this don't you. :D

You're right.
