Midwest Gaming Classic

Yeah, I think I am going to go to it on Saturday, the 3rd. I never heard of it either, until my friends in Milwaukee mentioned to me. I did notice that they will be giving away an Xbox 360 though.

I went there two years ago, and had a lot of fun. I'm going on the 3rd this year and am bringing plenty of cash this time around so I Can pick up a nice assortment of goodies. They had a lot of stuff to buy last time, but I lacked cash. I don't plan on making that mistake twice :)

What kind of stuff do they have for sale?
Also, can you buy a ticket at the door, or do you need to buy them in advance?

When I went they had a ton of stuff for all sorts of game systems, mostly older stuff (16 bit era and older) The prices and stuff were fair, most of the vendors run online stores so they don't overcharge too much.

You can buy a ticket at the door, although this year I bought my ticket online because I think it was a couple bucks cheaper that way

Anyone else plan on going. As of now me and 3 of my friends are probably going. Tickets at the door are still only $10 according to the site.

After reading some of the stuff on there (Dreamcon~!) I can't wait to go. We're going on the 3rd, all day hopefully, and are taking our DS's (Hopefully a Lite).

Are the pinball games and stuff free, or do you still gotta put a quarter in?

So who all ended up making it? I saw ZForce there (didn't know it at the time).

I had a ton of fun. Spent alot of time playing pinball in the beginning. Didn't play many of the arcade games as they were mostly fighting games.

Didn't spend very much money either (~$35; 3 games + admission) Not really that much stuff there that interested me/I already had it. Each of my 3 friends bought a system each though (2 SNES, 1 64)

Got to play Marathon for the first time for about an hour. Got to play Rez for the first time as well, enjoyed both alot.

The Beats of Rage mods were pretty cool, but the novelty seemed to wear off after a while.

Didn't get into any tournaments since I forgot to register for any of them, did anyone else get into any/how'd you do?

We stayed from 10:30 until 8 and I had a ton of fun the whole time, definately worth the trip.
