Down from $20-30 new and $15 used. If someone can confirm if this is in-store as well, that would be super. Too bad I already filled out my 4 bongo collection when they were $15.

Upon further review, the used ($8.99) bongos are Nintendo brand

while the new ($9.99) bongos are added to the cart as the Pelican brand.

When I bought a used set at a GameStop store, I believe they mentioned used accessories have a 30 day guarantee, so you probably don't need to worry too much about ordering used.

[quote name='PimpBot2000']the 9.99 new bongos are the pelican brand. it's kinda deceiving on the gamestop site. if you add the new one to your cart the item number is 801854 which is this:

Interesting... guess I'll make a note of that. The $9 used appear to remain the Nintendo-brand though.

All used except for systems carry a 30 day guarantee. Systems still carry a 90 day guarantee.

At my local EB, I was able to get the bongos at 8.99 a pop (used). They were "in the back" when I asked about them. They are the official set as well.

Incorrect. All used games and systems now are 30 day guarantees. This is to promote customers to purchase PRP plans after EBGames brought over there GamePlay Guarantee and revamped Product Replacement Plans to GameStop.

My bongos came today, but to my good fortune they were in the Donkey Konga box set, and included the game too. So for $8.99 I got Donkey Konga with the bongos. I hope someone else is as fortunate as I.

Wow, that's a nice surprise. My separate purchases of DK + bongos cost me about $35.

Hmm...are any of the Donkey Konga games 3 or 4 player? I have 2 sets already but if you can actually play with 4 people...I wouldn't mind grabbing a couple more.

Both are.

And it's a LOT of fun because everybody gets their own beats, so it ends up feeling like one of those rhythm slapping contests where the guys tap dance and slap themselves all over the place, or like those garbage can bands in the big cities. Lots of rhythm that sounds great when everybody's drumming on time.
