Free Krispy Kreme Doughnut June 2, Your Choice!
Too bad all the krispy kremes around me went out of business :(
Seriously. We had one for less than a year and it closed. They have the best doughnuts...

The one closed near me too. I remember when they opened just a few years ago and traffic was so bad they had to shut the road down with cops directing traffic. Then the craze was over and it just faded out. Oh how i loved those little sugar circles though. yum. :(

They're all pretty much just in Sheetz and other cash--err, gas--stations around here these days. There's one local KK still standing, actually, but no thanks. Going there for a free doughnut would cost me even more, as I'd have to go that much sooner to replenish that gas at those places that aren't giving away the free fried dough, anyway. Maybe when Krispy Kreme is available on Live Marketplace with the Microsoft Materializer peripheral. Actually, that's probably a bad idea. Real bad.

I remember about 6 years ago they built a KK next to this little donut shop owned by this asian family that had awesome donuts. Everybody thought they would go bankrupt and close be cause of KK. Well, in 2005 that KK closed down and the little donut shop is still going strong! KK donuts taste like fried sugary cardboard.

gogo small businesses! KK always give out free plain donuts. Getting one with sprinkles and chocolate isn't too much more really. I like the donuts but they're just not worth the number of calories in them. They dissolve in your mouth and are pretty much gone in one bite.

Krispy Kreme got murdered by Dunkin Donuts here. They were never even a blip on their radar screen. I never saw what the big deal was, once the novelty of a warm donut goes away, theres nothing very appealing. Their donuts weren't that great and their coffee wasn't too good, either.

True, though the one in medford was a big deal. Right before it opened everyone was talking about it, even the people who weren't normally donut eaters. It was mobbed for a while (I passed it on the way to wellington station). Though I never actually tried it, but I don't really like donuts. Was suprised to see it had closed so quickly.

Isn't there still one in the prudential center? Or is that gone too?

All gone, KK bought them out.

The one near Wellington had all KK references literally cut from the signage. They've got these big KK signs with the names cut out. That store's been dead for a while. Theres also 2 Dunkin Donuts on the same street within a quarter mile of it, and one inside Wellington, couldn't have helped business.
