Knowing Comp USA this is YMMV, but for these prices it might be worth scoping out your local Comp USA.

Donkey Konga w/drums $10
Donkey Konga 2 w/drums $10
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat w/drums $10

Final Fantasy XI w/HD $25

Those are some great deals, I was just at my local CompUSA and didn't see any of those games yesterday but I'll check some others if I am near one. Donkey Konga 2 for $10 would be awesome.
$25 is almost worth it just for the extra PS2 compat HDD
Any ATA 100/133 HD will work.. Except Western Digital, the pin configuration is weird on those.

I put 200 gigers in two separate PS2s and never had any problems. I even modified one WD to make it work, but that was a pretty rough jimmy operation.

But yeah, OP, NICE deal on Konga!

gona check out donkey konga. a lot of games are incorrectly marked at CompUSA and scan lower.

of course, CompUSA deals are almost all store specific.

I have a 120gig I bought a couple years ago, how are the prices now? is $25 for a 40 gig a bad deal?

damn..... those konga deals are nice, if anyone can confirm this at the compusa in queens, queens blvd, rego park, that would be nice.

I'm heading out toward my Compusa later today. Picking up another set of drums with the Konga titles sounds like a winner to me.

------If anyone can grab me DK w/bongos and DK2 w/bongos, I'll gladly pay for them plus shipping and a little for the trouble!!!-------------

here's the thing though if you're actually using the hdd for hdd install for certain games (alpha anthology) you'll NEED an official ps2 hdd to do it.

so yeah the ps2hdd has it's uses and I wish I heard about this I just bought 1 for 55 new.

Does SFA:A actually make use of the HDD, or are you using HDLoader?

SFA: A makes use of the HDD.

SFA:A makes use of it for faster loading or what?

Also if anyone can pick me up a copy of DK2 or DK: JUngle beat. I dont need bongos! but i'll trade you some nice shiny games =] or cash.

yep alpha anthology uses the hdd to cut down the load time in the game selection menu, from my experience you'll see 13 "." before the game loads if you are using the disc, you'll see 3 to 4 "." so it feels like I gut a good 10 to 13 seconds loading time, otherwise I can't say I notice any differences.

None of these games have been in stock at any CompUSA near me in months :whistle2:(

Secondly, my manager's specials always suck, and old PSP games still ring up at $40 to $50.

If anyone finds a JUNGLE BEAT or DK2 and can pick up extras, I'd be glad to compensate for the trouble as well--- or even trade from my plethora of stuff. ;-)

This is a definate YMMV. I went to the CompUSA in Greenburgh, NY and scanned the PS2 HDD and Donkey Konga 2. They scanned at $99.95 and $44.95 respectively. Good luck to the rest of you.

Add me to the list of people that love for someone to pick this up for me! I'd love either Donkey Konga w/drums and/or Jungle Beat w/drums! I'd gladly pay cost +shipping or I could trade something from my list.
Found everything at the COMPUSA in Sterling Heights MI. But all rang up as marked. $44.99-$49.99 and $99.98
Same here. But for anyone that was interested, I did see for $9.98 Manager's Special:

:ps2: Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks
:ps2: .hack (1-4) $9.98 EACH

Again this may be YMMV, so proceed with caution. Actually there were quite a few that were $9.98, but nothing that really caught my eye.

decided to stop by the CompUSA/GoodGuys Megastore in San Mateo, CA on the way back from SFO. (also combined with Tower Records)

found these: (All PS2)

1) Champions: Return to Arms $14.98
2) Constantine $4.98
3) Dead to Rights II $9.98
4) Haven: Call of the King $4.98
5) Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude $9.98
6) Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne $9.98
7) Spawn: Armageddon $4.98
8) Whiplash $9.98
9) Without Warning $9.98
10) Xenosaga II: $9.98

I did see some Donkey Kongas 2 & Jungle Beat (both w/Bongos), but wasn't aware of the price drop until I got home. Plus, they did not looked marked down. Besides, I had them already. Anyway, there's a large amount of clearance games at this location. Good luck to All.

btw, the Tower Records had 2 new factory-sealed non-players' choice copies of RE4; marked for $39.99. Boooo.

I went out of my way today to a CompUSA farther down, and I picked up Donkey Konga Jungle Beat for $17.99. I also picked up Socom Navy Seals original with headset for $4.98, which I thought was a bargain.
If anyone here on CAG runs across FFXI w/ HD for $25 can you grab one for me? I would be VERY greatful. Thanks CAG. :D
Ditto.

Ahaaaaaaa I guess I got 2 give my Comp usa a visit also ............I need the final fantasy deal also ........btw guys what does "YMMA" means

ODV out!
I had Donkey Konga 2 checked at the register, but it wasn't on sale.:whistle2:(
Same here, WTF!!! YMMV sucks!

YMMV = your mileage may vary

I don't have any idea what YMMA means :)

Your Mileage Might Assrape?

The CompUSA across from Tri-County mall had none of these deals. All of the DK games were $45 for the Manager's Special, and no FFXI/HDD combos at all.
Your Mileage Might Assrape?
thats great!!!

tried Bridgeton, MO CompUSA...no luck. Good ol' Manager Special @ 45.85.

On a side note, I looked through their so called clearance rack and they have an original GBA marked down from 99.99 to 59.99. There are no words for this.

Yup, definitely YMMV. Just got back from the San Marcos, CA store. They had a box of DK1 w/bongos and two boxes of DK2 w/bongos. Both scanned at $44.98.
