Prey (PC) for $37.99

I have never pre-ordered from them but there normal shipping is very quick and can be rather inexpensive compared to other sites. They usually ship out same day on instock orders.
 
when fable came out for xbox i preordered it from outpost.com. the game didn't show up at my house until the monday after release (almost a week!). it was a good deal at the time, so i guess i got what i paid for. but beware, if you're dying to play this on day one (or possibly even week one), that aint gonna happen.

Yep... some preorder's shipped out quick, some of them I've waited upwards of two weeks for them to ship.

This is a good sign that Fry's will have it for 37.99 when it comes out.


Which means that I'll be able to abuse Best Buy and PM the collectors edition to that price.

Because PC games are cheaper to sell- You don't have to pay any royalties to Nintendo, Microsoft or our God, er I mean, Sony.
 
Even on my nForce2 system (GeForce 6600 GT), the PC version looks better than the 360. Maybe I just hadn't gotten to a part yet that made the engine work. Of course, Doom 3 always looked fine on it too and that was before I upgraded to the 6600 GT.
 
Call me a SuperCheapAss Gamer..........but I'm waiting to pick this up at no more than $29 & preferably less which will probably be fairly soon. Based on the short length & less than stellar reviews, I suspect that gogamer.com or someone will come out with a low-ball deal in the not too distant future. Based purely on a cost to length ratio, hell I thought HL2 Episode 1 was a rape at $19 (although I snagged it for $8), but it now looks like a super bargain compared to Prey which appears to be not much longer than HL2 Episdode 1. I really enjoyed the Prey demo, but when the hours of entertainment value proposition is substantially worse than going to the movies (which generally suck bigtime) it's a deal buster for me.
